inflict pain. why your online life isn't as private as you think. and what you can do to protect it. right now at 11. a plea for justice. tonight this widow wants her husband's killer off the street. i'm jacqueline london. >> i'm jim rosenfield. brad hay was the victim of a violent beating. a retired postal worker and great grandfather. >> denise nakano is live with new details on the investigation. you also spoke to his widow. >> i did. she says she can't imagine anyone wanting to hurt her husband. who she describes as a family man who retired and was living the good life. now police are looking for his killer and a personal of interest caught on video with him. >> reporter: heartbroken and filled with grief. she spoke with us inside her home. devastated by her husband's murder.

>> we're distraught. >> reporter: police found brad hays beaten in the backseat of his car. outside pen wood middle school. it happened in the early morning hours of october 24. >> he didn't pick up strangers. i think whoever it this knew him. >> reporter: police have surveillance video showing a man beating him outside the car. picking him up and beating imhim in the backseat. surveillance from behind the school on seventh street showed another man they want to talk to. >> next time we see the two subjects, they're both together coming out of the alley behind the school. that puts the second guy as a very strong personal of interest. >> reporter: hays recently retired from the u.s. postal service where he met his wife. and together they bought their dream home four months ago. now the house feels empty without the father of five. as she pleads for someone to come forward with information. >> we need closure. we need to find out who did

this. and bring them to justice. >> police say the motive is unclear. they're looking to enhance video images taken from several cameras in the area. now to an nbc10 exclusive. we are heard of victims fighting back against attackers. >> how about one that bites back. live in north philadelphia with that story. >> right now we're near 17th and page. this is where the robber attacked that victim. a few weeking a. he tried forcing him into the alley. that's where the victim decided to fight back. >> 5:19 will be a time i always remember. >> reporter: 5:19. a time etched in the mind of jason. the 34 year-old tell ts nbc10 he hesitates any time he sees the numbers on a clock. it's about the time he ended upshot. after fighting for his life.

>> i said i don't know. he said one, dock. and it's at my face now. i'm in the barrel of gun. >> reporter: three weeks ago, he was walking in the area of 17th and page. in north philadelphia. headed to a bus for work. a robber tried to steal his phone. he soon realized his life was on the line. >> after he smacked me with the gun twice. i said i don't know my code. he said put the password in or i'll kill you. >> reporter: he distracted the guy. punched him and wrestled the gun and screwdriver away. the gun went off and a bullet went through his side. >> i started biting him. and got a hold of his mouth and shook it like a pit bull. >> reporter: it was now the robber begging for his life. a gift he tells us he would

never take away. >> he's like please don't kill me. said i'm not that type. but you tried to kill me. >> a wild story right there. the robber would run away. he walked down the street with a gun in one hand and screw droifr in the other. looking for help. a delaware county man who worked as a children's birthday party performer is facing rape charges. michael krip taken out of the courthouse in handcuffs earlier today. he is charged with sexual abuse skb raping five children. two brothers claim he abused them. the district attorney described how the suspect targeted his alleged victims. >> he befriends women. he then establishes some type of relationship with the women. and these women are all women who have young boys in their custody. >> he was investigated for

similar allegations back in 2013. but was never charged. investigators believe there could be more victims. also tonight three people who worked on president trumps campaign are charged in federal investigation. two of them pleaded not guilty. including the trump campaign former chairman. a secret guilty plea from the third man is sparking a lot of buzz in washington. nbc10 brandon hudson is live. >> president trump and administration want to be clear. paul manafort ties have no direct tie to president trumps campaign. however investigators may use this as an end for any leads on any suspected russian collusion. >> reporter: sidestepping cameras and questions. former trump campaign manager left court in washington dc after pleading not guilty to 12 counts of money laundering and tax fraud. manafort didn't talk, his attorney did. >> you all saw today that

president donald trump was correct. there is no evidence that mr. manafort or the trump campaign colluded with the russian government. >> reporter: the president echoed that in a tweet today. according to to a 31 page document. manafort and the business associate rick gates earned millions of dollars lobbying for the russian government. and put the money in offshore accounts to avoid paying taxes. manafort spent big money on home improvements, real estate, art and antique and clothes. >> these defendants are looking at decades in prison. there's a tremendous incentive for them to come to prosecutors and say we'd like to cooperate. >> reporter: we're learning former trump campaign advisor secretly pleaded guilty earlier this month. to lying to the fbi. a plea agreement shows he was communicating with the kremlin connected russian. who promised dirt on clinton. and lied about it.

>> sanders says his time with the campaign was limited. his involvement was limited. meanwhile a spokesman saez he looks forward to confronting the charges in court. four people charged with election fraud after a special election in philadelphia earlier this year. pennsylvania attorney general says the election workers enter feared with votes and intimidated voters. they are charged with tampering with public records. this all allegedly happened during the march election for a seat in the state house of representatives. democrat won that race. the attorney general says there's no evidence that the out come of the election was impacted. and unexpected apology today at the sentencing hearing for u.s. army sergeant. the 31 year-old soldier took the stand and apologized to those who were wounded while searching for him. after he abandoned post in afghanistan in 2009. he spoke for two hours

describing his years in captivity. after he was captured by the taliban. he pleaded guilty last week to desertion. and misbehavior he faces max sentence of life in prison. we have this just in. sky force 10 over the scene of a deadly stabbing in south jersey minutes ago. officers were called to the apartments on meadow road. just before 10:00. after the man was stabbed there. police have one man in custody. no word on any motive. we're getting information tonight after a driver hit a man in the middle of a port richmond street. and left him to die. these are newly released surveillance pictures of the white chevy express involved. police say the driver hit eric back on october 14. neighbors found him in the middle of the street. he died at the scene. arson investigation is under way. after a home to stray cats was found burned to the ground over

own. broad way star forced himself on the actor 32 years ago when he was 14 years old. spacey apologized for the incident. even though he says he was drunk and doesn't remember. he revealed for the first time publicly he's guy and had relationships with men and women. and that prompted immediate backlash. >> the fact he responded the way he did and also con flating it with him coming out as guy. has really only made this scandal worse. >> netflix which airs his hit house of cards, announced today the show will end after its sixth season. company officials said they are deeply troubled by the allegation. former vice president biden was back in his alma mater to speak about violence against women. the tenth annual vision coalition conference was held at the university of delaware. the vice president also talked about gun violence saying it needs to be treated as a public

health crisis. update now in the search for hit and run driver bho seriously injured a chester county teenager. police release this picture of the white truck. in the upper right of the screen. 16 year-old andy and her mother were hit as they were walking their dog on art school road this month. if you have seen that truck, call police. we have new information tonight about skeletal remains unearthed at a construction site. officials discovered the remains of 328 people. crews first uncovered coffins more than a year ago. when they were working on an apartment building. the bodies were buried back in the 17 hundreds. in the first baptist church cemetery. annual blue night. this is one of the nine locations across the city where police and members of the community gather to take back their streets from violence. it's the fourth year they held
