right now at 11. a legend lost. one of the philadelphia's most celebrated sportd celebrated sports feg yigures kd in plane crash. >> we have team coverage tonight on the investigation ot crash. and the impact of fillies ace had on and off the field skbl we begin with denise nakano live outside citizens bank park. >> roy hall day was with the phillies for about four years and had a tremendous impact. outside heefr, we see a billboard in his memory. tragic news for fans across the board. >> a tragic news today. >> reporter: the calls into 975 started streaming in as soon as the news broke that roy holiday died in a plane crash in the gulf of mexico.

also coming up in sports, john clark shows us how athletes from all over sports world are remembering roy. update on breaking news from the lee high valley. new video tonight shows the driver accused o shooting a state trooper. this dash board camera captured that car as it escaped and swerved in and out of traffic on route 33. >> we have learned that suspects name is daniel clear ri. facing numerous charges. an update on the troopers condition, aaron? >> we're told that state police corporal remains here at the hospital in stable condition. but quote extreme critical condition. we're told he's certainly has the will to live. >> report shots fired. >> reporter: state police describe a war your remains

surrounded by family at st. luke hospital. a routine traffic stop for speeding turned into a violent brawl and gunfight. this morning. investigators say the driver called back to the corporal and wanted to talk about the speeding ticket. that's when he suspected the driver was under the influence. after calling for back up and going through a field swrity test. it was determined the driver would be arrested. that's when state police say he became aggressive. >> the tropers were in a knock down drag out fight. along the side of the road. the vehicle speeding by them. it got very violent. >> the driver goes back to his car firing you have several shots. the corporal was shot tle times. as the suspect drove away. that guy was shot but managed to drive himself to the hospital. where he was eventually taken into custody. traffic backed up for miles as investigators shut down the area. >> troopers put their lives on the line every day.

people akdsed of beating and robbing grad student in university city. police release this surveillance video of the suspects. taken at a convenience store shortly after the attack sunday night. a 26 year-old man was attacked as he was walking along south 43rd street. his injuries include a fractured skull. out rage tonight over a judges decision to send philadelphia rapper meek mill back to jail. the judge ignored the prosecution recommendation not to send him to prison for probation violation. instead he was sentenced to two to four years. a sentence many say is too harsh. the sentence was a miscarriage of justice. >> he about had his fill. particularly with this judge. she's had him under her thumb for ten years. >> the judge told the rapper she gave him break after break, and he did nothing but put his nose

texas church. >> according to to police records in 2012, kelly escaped a mental health facility in texas. happened just months after he beat his first wife and stepson. at an air force base in new mexico. kelly spent a year in detention and was discharged for bad conduct. the air force says that conviction never made it into the fbi national criminal data base. something that would have prevented him from buying firearms sfwl we are checking all of the data bases and there are several to find out and confirm that all court marshall convictions for these offenses have been reported in the civilian data base. >> officials wouldn't say whether his criminal history was the reason he was denied a license to carry a concealed weapon. police are looking for three men in connection with with an arson investigation. it happened last month on north lawrence street. you can see from the surveillance video here one of the suspects next to the car
