a judge last week sentenced meek mill to two to four years in jail for violating his probation probation. lawyers argue the probation officer didn't recommend a prison sentence as punishment. on tuesday the motion requesting that the judge in this case step aside. new details this afternoon in the road side shooting that left a state trooper seriously injured. prosecutors announced today that police were justified in shooting the gunman who opened fire on them. . he was shot multiple times by a. trooper pulled over in plainfield township. police returned fire. they called to clear the trooper an easy one. >> clearly in this case both officers were in danger of death or serious bodily injury. at the moment to start to fire at two state. troopers. >> the suspected gunman is charged with attempted murder. corporal kelly is in stable

condition. police say a high school student was killed in a crash involving a stolen car yesterday. the 15-year-old was a passenger in a car that slammed into the back of a fedex truck yesterday morning. the driver was critically injured. police say the driver was speeding and the car was stolen. a bus ride came to a screeching halt in northeast philadelphia today. their bus collided right there with a motorcycle. sky force 10 was over the scene this morning. the motorcyclist ended up with a broken leg. no one on that bus was hurt. we have new details in the death of an elderly man found inside his home last night. today police ruled it a homicide. the man's granddaughter found his body at the home last night. police say there was blood all over the first and second floors. today they confirmed the victim had been snabed several times. . police in delaware are looking for the thief who stole money from a wilmington church.

a group of area executives is getting ready for a chilly night outdoors in an effort to help homeless youth. it's part of video from an event in march. that event benefits covenant house. it's been helping kids escape the streets in 1972. taking a live look down broad street. it's going to dip and come back up. a little bit of everything. >> skies lock kind of pretty. >> absolutely. the sunsets in less than a half hour. we're starting to see some of the colors. it's already down to 49 degrees in some of the suburbs. in delaware generally a little bit warmer.

some 60s in a good bit of the area. middletown 57. we were in the 60s. just in the last hour. and now it dropped into the upper 50s. so that's well above average for this time of the year. we had some isolated showers just racing through. gusty winds as the showers came through. gusts about 35 miles an hour. and now we have a few light showers coming through the polk noes. it's not quite cold enough yet for some snow flurries. we're not that far away. you we're pretty much clearing out. lots of sunshine

we have warmth, potentially heavy rain and a lot more wind. i'll have the timing on all that coming up. want to go up to sky force 10. you see that fire truck there. several, in fact, around this home. a woman fell into a septic tank. mitch blacher has more. >> reporter: a rescue is underway. we believe the woman was distracted and taken out in that ambulance. as we get a little wider, you can see that the med vascular helicopter is also here. this is a 57-year-old woman stuck in ten feet in a septic tank. we're told she fell through a 30-inch wide opening. we do not know how badly she's injured, but there are injuries. we're told that this is what they call a prolonged extraction meaning it took some time to get her out of that septic tank.
