we are live tonight in texas ahead of the eagles sunday night showdown against dallas. tracking dangerous wind across our region. we are issuing a first alert tomorrow morning for powerful wind gusts that could impact your sunday. i'm denise nakano. and that wind gust could be strong enough to knock down trees and power lines. tv. >> it's getting breezy outside right now, but nothing compared to what we will see here tomorrow morning. that's i've gone ahead and issued a first alert here for the entire region. i'm issued it from 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. tomorrow. sustained at 20 miles an hour, but it's the gusts, 40 to 50 miles an hour, that momentum that will to be able to snap some tree branches and topple some power lines here. so we'll be looking for that.

right now just some spotty showers. it's the rainout to the west, that's the cold front that will come through here. 36 miles an hour wind gusts right now in dover. when you're waking up at 7:00 a.m. those high winds are already here. 50 miles an hour. at lunchtime they're hanging around. and again we could see some damage tomorrow through midday and tomorrow afternoon as, then the wind could step down as we head through the evening. i'll walk you through that in the ten day on ten coming up in just a bit. tonight looking for answers. federal officials return to the scene are a senior living facility went up in flames and burned to the ground. andrea, there are still residents that are unaccounted for. >> reporter: yeah, that's right, denise. and the management here through a statement say they are distraught there are still some

people that are not accounted for. it's been two whole days, and there's still so many unanswered questions. no more sirens, no more fire trucks. sheriffs deputies now keep watch over what's left of the barclay senior living facility. spotlights illuminate this sheer devastation. >> i can't speak yet. we are still waiting to talk to family members. but not yet everyone has been fully accounted for yet. >> reporter: it's hard to forget the relentless flames on thursday evening. >> someone banging on doorstelling them to get up, there's a fire. >> reporter: everyone bravely working to rescue the elderly residents. many wrapped in blankets and pushed to safety in their wheelchairs. two days later investigators still cannot say if everyone made it out. earlier today firefighters continued to put out the hot spots. and then it was the rain that kept out a national response

the joy of crossing the finish line. this morning thousands of runners pounded the pavement for the philadelphia half marathon and crossed the line with arms raised. the mens winner finished the marathon in just over a half-hour for a new course record. and there's a lot of traffic closures in place for tomorrow's marathon. we have all the closures listed on the nbc 10 app. many of them around the ben franklin parkway. that race begins at 7:00 a.m. a rookie officer gunned down in the line of duty. now police have a certain clue linked to his killing. and wind will roar at the marathon tomorrow. as runners get their start, i'll walk you through what to expect for the race and also your forecast coming up.

new information tonight in connection with the shooting death of a pennsylvania police officer. detectives recovered a jeep wanted in connection with the shooting. officer brian shah was shot in the chest after a traffic stop turned into a foot chase. the 25-year-old died at the hospital. he'd been with the new kensington police department for less than a year. now, police are offering a $40,000 reward for information leading them to the killer. malcolm young, one of the founders of the ledgeandiry rock-bound, ac/dc has died a that age of 64. young was diagnosed with dementia in 2014. new statements said he died peacefully with his family by his side. young formed the band with his younger brother, angus. just minutes. right now tracking dangerous wind, nbc 10 first alert meteorologist steve sofna joins us. we could see an impact. >> that's right. the runners could be in for a struggle with the gusty winds tomorrow morning. through the overnight hours if you're headed out, definitely have the umbrella. wave been seeing these waves of rain. it hasn't been consistent, but some of these downpours will be on the heavy side. bur burkes county, chester county, you'll be getting some of that. that's a line of thunderstorms. and yeah, we're talking thunderstorms this time of year. and it's a powerful cold front. that's what's going to cause the winds here for tomorrow. if you're out and about during the overnight hours, give

yourself some extra time. don't be rushing around. here's what you need to know. the rain is out of here by 7:00 a.m. excellent news for the runners. not so good news are the wind gusts. 50 miles an hour during the race. the sunshine should return. it's a bright day. it's just when you look out the window, you don't see those winds but you will hear them when you walk out doors. temperatures in the 50s. not too bad. check out this. you don't see this toorch. 60 degrees right now in philadelphia, 15 in international falls. that's what's driving this, the big temperature contrasts. here's one round of rain here. this is moving through here the next couple of hours. then it's a steady amount of rain through 3, 4:00. but by 7:00 a.m., it's looking a-okay. that headwind will be tough.
