11:49 pm
the way they started and the fact they're coming off. i think the people expected them to come off flat and they didn't play well at all. the cowboys moved the ball down the field, didn't score touch down on the two possessions but it looked like they were in control of the football game. they didn't play well in the first half rkt then in the second half they came out and took control of the football game, primarily by running the football and keeping to a basic game plan. >> yeah, and you got to give a number of doug pedersen, look at the number of quarterbacks he's using. and carson wentz struggled. without jake elliot, two point con verges, a lot of good players on those? >> i think the second half when they commit to running the football and making sure they pound it had guys. look at the big guys up front running the football game. that's what they decided to do in halftime. wen you're able to do that it makes the game easier.
11:50 pm
for doug, it makes play calling easier when you're getting five yards on first down running the ball. >> mike, it really is unbelievable. it's only four times in history that they started 9-1. they have set themselves up beautifully because they come back home to face the bears. and the touch stretch at seattle. but they have set themselves up now. >> there's some wiggle room now. they have to think about the entire nfc now, not just the nfc east. now it's positioning yourself for the play off and trying to get home field advantage. if they can get a buy the first round, that's really what they have to think about. the new orleans saints, the minnesota vikings and teams like that still in the hunt. >> mike thank you very much. let's go to doug pedersen live right now at the podium.
