crime scene. police are investigating what sources say is a stabbing. they looked for evidence in the parking lot of out back steak house across the street. and placed markers not far from the car and other vehicles remain parked chl neighbors have seen an increase in crime recently. and what's an otherwise quiet neighborhood only a couple blocks from an elementary school. >> it's a nice neighborhood. it's it's very nice. a gentleman owns a store around the corner and said he's been robbed and with a gun. >> police plan to give an official update sometime in the morning. they have reopened in the past 20 minutes the streets leading to homes and ridge park elementary school. new at 11 a delaware di care owner under arrest. authorities say she was caught on surveillance video dragging and kicking children in her care. she owns primary color center. 46 year-old is charged with

multiple counts of engaging the welfare of a child and child abuse the day care has been closed down. >> the rescue from the senior home that went up in flames. despite this effort we know four people didn't make it out alive. the cause of the fire is still a mystery. live from the scene in west chester. you have been talking to the families. what a nightmare. >> a nightmare tonight. a lot of family dealing with change. they do not know what will happen in the future. behind me we're getting a better look hat some of the damage out here. we know 60 investigators are on the case. some firefighters rushed inside there without their breathing apparatus. doing everything they could to save lives. >> i was scared. i didn't know what to do. >> reporter: for ashly, it was an anxious, nerve racking 12 hours. her father was inside when it

wentd up in flames. she didn't find out until the next day after the fire where he was, or what condition he was in. >> they kept going back in there. until their helmets were melting. >> reporter: firefighters rushed inside the senior living center that night. video from the scene shows one first responder carrying a woman over his shoulder away from the flames. 92 year-old emma was also saved that night. photographs show her in the hospital recovering. grateful for what firefighters did. >> i am glad to be alive. >> reporter: investigators concentrate on the south wing today. zer searching for a cause of the fire. four residents are presumed dead after they are still missing. his routine and sense of normalcy were taken away. >> it loses a lot more independence. a little the little he had left.

disbelief that the person say killed his neighbor was the victims granddaughter. >> i saw her the night before. >> reporter: he last saw her working at a nearby grocery store. he told us about the last time they spoke. >> same thing. always. hey, dan. see each other and it was pleasant. >> reporter: hours later. police say she went into her grandfathers house, stabbed him 41 times. and left his lying neighborhood on the floor. neighbors say the family members lived together. >> it sent a chill down my spine. to be honest she was the last person i would have suspected. >> reporter: a friend of the suspect said she remembers the young woman from these photographs. always smiling. and always with her family. >> it's sad. it really is. she was a good person. >> reporter: she turned herself in today. he told us detectives used this point view on the neighborhood surveillance camera.

the ntsb placed no blame for the accident. a final report could take years. halladay crashed back on november 7. off the gulf coast of florida. a memorial service was held last week in his honor. at the spring training complex. update on a sink hole during construction of a pipeline. the department of environmental protection is giving the company a notice of violation. and stopped drilling operations for now. after drilling fluid started leaking. they have to fill the sink hole and get the approval before getting back to work. follow up. where an animal shelter is making changes after workers mistakeingly euthanize a house cat. even though it had a chip. the dregt tor says two scans missed the chip. the shelter implemented a new 48 hour minimum hold policy for
