charged. thanks for joining us. i'm jim rosenfield. >> and i'm jacqueline london. people who live near that crime scene are feeling relieved tonight. that's where deanna durante is joining us live. you broke the news that two people of interest have been identified. >> reporter: people in this neighborhood behind me have been getting calls alerting them they are safe. this after about this time last night we're told two people apparently parked their car at the outback steak house, came into this parking lot, got into a car with another man who then crashed his car into parked cars along the side. investigators say that man was stabbed. it's video police had in the minute after the killing. watch as two people dressed in black crossed from one parking lot to another. just at the top corner of your screen, you can see the people get into a car. a little while later they take off running back to the waiting car in the parking lot of outback steakhouse. the people tracked blood across two parking lots.

moments later the car with a 31-year-old man behind the wheel slowly moves forward and hits parked cars. >> you see the amount of blood and nothing -- the blood on the driver and then on the car itself. i knew it wasn't just a small fender bender. >> reporter: he called 911 but says with so much blood he wasn't sure how to help the who was dead when police got here. >> not anything you're used to seeing at any time in your life. >> reporter: neighbors nearby hung christmas decorations, police were examining a buick driven by the victim and tracking persons of interest in the case. charges are expected soon. as for people who work and live in the area, shock of the crime scene is starting to wear off. >> i'm realistic that crime happens everywhere. we're fortunate to live in an area that has a will the of cops and a pretty safe crime rate. >> reporter: we're told that the surveillance cameras that captured that video installed just within the last l of weeks.

and again investigative sources are telling us that persons of interest in this have been identified and one of those persons is in police custody at this hour. reporting live in plymouth township, deanna durante, nbc 10 news. we're following breaking news right now that's impacting tens of millions around the world. a hack attack on uber. 57 million people have been impacted. the hackers took names, e-mail addresses and phone numbers among other data. this attack happened back in october of last year. but ooub reportedly didn't disclose it and chose to pay the hackers 100,000 to delete the data and keep things quiet. and new information right here uber's ceo is calling on the chief security officer to resign because of these developments. a man is in custody after a stand with police in new castle county today. police say they responded to a home on lawrence avenue around 1:00 this afternoon for a welfare check. once police got there as they walked up and heard shots from

inside the home. police arrested the suspect and transported him to the hospital with a self-inflicted stab wound. . it's unclear what, if any, charges will be filed. to your first alert weather. rain could impact your travel plans tomorrow morning. >> if you're driving out of town tonight, the weather b won't cause any drama. flying live over 76 between the boulevard. give yourself extra time to get through security. it's a busy night on the rails as well. we're looking at 30th street station. amtrak is dealing with a surge of riders. let's bring in glenn "hurricane" schwartz. the rain could affect traveling very early tomorrow morning. >> that's right. and it's especially true in delaware and south jersey.

the rain should come up toward the philadelphia area but the farther north and west you are, the less likely it is for those roads to be wet. you can see the moisture creasing from the south. not much rain close by that's for sure. but it is going to. develop. all the computer models are showing that now. it will generally be after midnight. and again especially delaware and south jersey. this is the morning rush. the latest computer guidance continues it a little bit longer and expands the area a little bit more and brings the rain a little bit heavier toward the coast by tomorrow morning's rush. but again, lehigh valley berks county looks like not getting anything. by noontime, even the shore is going to be drying out. but colder air will be moving in. itten won't be cold in the morning when it's raining. 51 in philadelphia. likely not raining too far north and west. but could be heavy rain at the

shore. we'll see if there's anymore rain coming for the holiday and the temperatures up and down again. that's coming up. president trump is is breaking his silence on roy moore. >> i can tell you one thing for sure. we don't need a liberal person in there, a democrat. >> the president said today alabama voters must elect roy moore to prevent his democratic rival from winning next month. moore is accused of sexual misconduct with teenage girls when he was in his 30s. the republican is under growing pressure to. drop out of the senate race. both cbs news and pbs fired charlie rose today. a day after eight women accused him of sexual misconduct.

the attorney for the family says they are happy with the da's request to recuse himself. tonight a pennsylvania state trooper says he can still hear the gunshots from when his fellow officer was nearly killed in a shootout. they got into a gunfight on the side of the road. kelli was shot several times. steven fisher has brand new insight from inside the courtroom. >> the trooper was comeposed a as he answered questions about what happened along route 33 on november 7th. he t it his ears from the close quarters gunfight and also said that day he feared for his life. the trooper will set across from each other in court. he sat there emotionalless, still had bandages ob his hand.

he got his break when the corporal survived. >> reporter: when things got physical, they tried to use taser, but had little to no effect. he was able to break free grab the gun from his own car and fired shots at him and the corporal. kelly was hit in the thigh and chest area. after clairy drove away he found him over the guardrail in a puddle of blood. he tied a tourniquet but he was in bad shape and fighting to stay live. their goal is to put clairy for life. >> hopefully the rest of his life. >> reporter: his tox callingicology results were revealed. he did test positive for marijuana. meanwhile, he will be back in court on february 8th. steven fisher, nbc 10 news. a philadelphia doctor linked to drexel university admits to

his victims are women who worked for him. which was despite his own production company. >> some of those have an hr department, but some are just a few people and that's where it gets tricky. what we found out you do have some options. the spotlight switching to smaller companyies. >> is this something you come across or you see these people who work for a company that just are too small to have an hr department? >> often.

>> we wanted to find out your options. if you work for a small business. in the cpbs told "the washington post" they had no record of sexual harassment complaints. show was produced by an independent production company and two women said they'd complained to its connective producer. if you're an e employee of a small company, you can take complaints to state agencies. they can investigate, but beware of dead lines. >> if you wait you can be told you waited too long and there's nothing they can do because it's outside the time period. >> how long do you have? >> under the state laws 180 days. under the federal law, it's 300 days. so they are very, very short periods of time. >> also think about how big your employer is. she says those working for companies with less than four employees may have even fewer options. >> what if it's just a husband and wife and they have one and

employee. >> that can be a problem under the law. there are other laws that could potentially apply. >> and no matter what size company you work for, it's important to memorialize what happened so you can show how it started. if you told someone to stop doing something, send them an e afterward saying i'm glad we had the conversation and i expect a professional relationship. >> great information. new fallout from the sexual harassment allegations impacting politics in washington. that's coming up on "nbc nightly news" with lester holt at 6:30. new at 6:00 a lot of drivers were shocked when they were pulled over by police in chester. >> as soon as officers walked up to their car windows, they asked what they wrong.

it's 54 in philadelphia. now we got up to 59 today. it was above average. allentown is down to 45 degrees. but that's still not all that cold. we have a southwest wind which is keeping the atmosphere on the warm side. we have some high clouds that have come up from the uth. you can see the general area of moisture just coming right up the coast. we're not e see ging a roth of rain yet, but it's starting to build. up a a little bit. now as we go through the night tonight and into tomorrow pay attention to then different areas here. pick your spot. or close toast your spot. by 11:00, nope. 2:00 a.m. a different story. but it's mostly philadelphia, delaware and new jersey. northern areas, generally dry. and then there's the morning rush. philly delaware heavy rain in

atlantic city. and then more rain in trenton. but it's just cold and dry generally to the north. allentown at 40 degrees. by 10:30, everybody pretty much is out of the rain and then watch the temperatures here. 1:30 it's 52. and then it goes down by 4:00. instead of the. temperature going up in the afternoon, it's down. and the wind is going up as well. so we're going to see the temperatures fairly steady for awhile and then really plunge for thursday morning. that's when we're going to be seeing some of that cold air. now for the thanksgiving planner, it's cold in the morning. it'sly in the afternoon. but it's dry. black friday similar story. cold in the morning, dry in the afternoon. and it looks like it will be dry for the rest of the weekend too. i'm john clark. coming.
