brady attorney says that his client is not seeing any kind of distraction. faci facing these allegations while he's working in d.c. in montgomery county a possible breakthrough after a man was stabbed to death at a strip mall. police say they identified two people who may know something about this case. sdp one has been questioned. this is surveillance video police got minutes after the killing last night. off ridge pike and plymouth township. two people dressed in black going from one apartment to another. walk up to a car and take off running in the opposite direction. moments later. olympic gold medallist the latest gymnast to accuse the former team doctor of the sexual abuse. naser has been accuse of assaulting 140 girls and women. including teammates.

new video shows this south jersey boy taking the next step in his road to recovery. the six yeerd frs hit by a bus last month. and now lost part of his leg. as nbc10 shows us. he's facing this new challenge with strength and courage. >> he said mom, if i walk will i fall down or will i break my leg again? not understanding the con set it's no longer there. >> reporter: it's the new norm for 6 year-old. he's learning how to walk again. after losing the lower half of the right leg. his mother tells nbc10 he's gone through four surgeries. and now rehabbing. >> i wish it was me. and i could take away his pain. every day. >> reporter: their lives changed forever on october 26. when the first grader was struck by a school bus. near alabama and fair view. investigators say he was

crossing the stroet behind a different school bus. cell phone video shows him on a stretcher. we're told the case is in the hand of the prosecutor. >> the pain he went through. all the pain. that's scary for me. that he was so strong through all that stuff. >> reporter: the daily grind of rehab is a lot for anyone. let alone a six year-old. who questions if he will walk again. with his courage and tenacity. his mother says there's no doubt he will. a man in custody after a stand off with police in new castle county tonight. police responded to a home around 1:00. this afternoon. for a welfare check. they heard shots coming from inside the home. and neighbors were ordered to shelter in place. police arrested the suspect. he was taken to the hospital with a self-inflicted stab wound. so far charges have been

filed. nbc10 was in woodbury heights for the meeting. the former police chief tells us the township recently received two proposals from neighboring police departments to take over policing duties. residents don't want to lose the police force. >> their police is their protection. and i don't care where you come from, the people in that town they want their own police. >> down ship officials say they will review the proposal. and community input before making a decision. now to a nbc10 exclusive. investigators working to uncover new leads in the disappearance of two boys from south jersey. nbc10 jersey shore reporter was the only one there. as they went searching for clues. >> reporter: it's a mission. to find the missing. >> it's a lot of tr rain.

>> reporter: and an intense and challenging search. for any sign of two boys. more than 4 decades after they vanished. without a trace. we got this exclusive look at the renewed push to figure out what happened. to 12 year-old david williams. and 17 year-old steven anderson. on april 7, 1975. the day the roommates were reported missing from their residential facility. now known as the developmental center. in the pine lands of burling ton county. >> many search efforts were done. they were unable to find anybody. >> reporter: the fbi has joined new jersey state authorities and the national center for missing and exploited children. in the hunt for answers. uncovering promising new information. >> a fresh set of eyes for the case. >> reporter: skb providing resources that didn't exist.

in 1975. this recent weekend search brought investigators to the developmental center grounds. and a second location in ocean county. using specially trained dogs to sniff out potential clues. >> these dogs are able to identify skeletal remains back to the civil war. as well as if they are charred. >> anxious to talk with anyone who was involved in the previous searching or people who worked at the center at the time. they know that is a challenge. after so many years. >> memories fade. witnesses die off. it could be the one phone call. that one bit of information. that leads to a conclusion. >> reporter: these age progressed photographs show what williams and anderson may look like now. >> you have to have hope. >> reporter: investigators won't say if this search brought them closer to solving the mystery. they are determined to blaze new

trails to find missing pieces of a 42 year-old puzzle. je nerithat's what a new la claims it was filed nd 46 states. the suit is going after 18 drug makers and says they worked together to fix prices on 15 drugs for everything from diabetes to high blood pressure. one of the drugs jumped 75% in price. another 200%. we reached out to the manufacturers named in the lawsuit. seven responded and denied all allegations. half of women admit they need to spend more time thinking about finances. and stop missing investment opportunities. a new poll shows only one in four women from a plan for their future. one in three keep half of the savings in cash. instead of investing. nearly half say they spend free will without thinking about the long term. we asked our financial expert

no. >> we're giving the silent victims a voice. doctors are treating more and more take into accounted newborns. in pennsylvania the full scope remains a mystery. we went to the state leaders. to find out why. >> >> reporter: even for a one month old. her crying spells are unusual. sometimes her arms switch. her sleep is irregular. even for an infant. she's addicted to oip yoed. her mom got hooked on percocet after a back surgery. >> i got pregnant with my daughter. i'm like well, i'm okay. and i'm not okay. >> today she is newly sober. still watching her baby weaned off the drug. >> i know how it feels and how it felt when i go through withdraw. to see my daughter go through that. i don't wish that on my worst enemy.

>> reporter: her doctor says she's treating more opioid addicted babies than ever before. but can't tell us the long term effects. >> there are few studies about the lasting impact of being born addicted. some studies are ongoing. but fail to pinpoint which drugs and how much of the drug will end up causing symptoms like a learning disability. doctors simple need more information. in order to predict which patients will develop what symptoms. >> it's hard to know whether you are making progress on a crisis. if you don't have good data. >> reporter: child protection advocates want pennsylvania to make the medical condition called neonatal syndrome a reportable health condition. track babies born addicted to opioid. >> and under score the message this is a public health crisis. >> states such as vermont. ohio and california. have been tracking for years.

where sdp how many are born addicted. few states have collected more information than tennessee. it has data since 2012. >> that's given us a handle if you will at the state level. on whether we're tackling this problem. >> reporter: it helped guide policy that stabilized the number of opioid take into accounted newborns in tennessee. the state sees 1,000 cases each year. >> folks pay attention. and think about what they mean for the community. and use that to drive local intervention. >> reporter: in spring 2016 the administration told national public radio it would move to make newborn addiction reportable. but it hasn't happened. >> if it was a prior thin. why is it still stagnant? >> it's not. but changing the regulation is takes time. it is very important for the department. we're working on it. >> reporter: acting health secretary says the state does have medicaid data on infant

addiction. it's from 2016. and includes patients on medicaid. not the entire state. >> how do you solve a problem when you don't know how big it is. >> certainly data like that is important. i think when ever you can have timely data that's a benefit. it's important not to under estimate the data we have. >> reporter: more information can pinpoint the communities in most need of treatment. making infant addiction reportable does mean changing state regulation. and we found that starts with the office. >> when can we expect that to happen? >> i don't have a time line. >> in the meantime. babies are born every day with an addiction. right now they're living in a state that won't track it. until long after they leave intensive care. >> in new jersey. infant addiction is reportable.
