knew jordan was going to walk away with it. we didn't even get to see lindsey and mark backstage. they didn't do the carpet. i don't know if that was an emotional thing. or we had our moment, let them have our moment. >> once we knew frankie was in third, it was pretty clear. jordan and lindsay's performance was perfect. >> they had more perfect scores. >> you talked to jordan and lindsay after their big win. what did they have to say? >> i asked him because a lot of people were talking about jordan being the best male dancer this show has ever seen. asked him what he thought about those comments. >> hearing len say that you might be the best male dancer to ever be on "dancing with the stars," i'm just going to do this now. what do you say to that? >> i don't -- i don't know.

>> jordan, you are. you're holding a mirrorball. i just want you to know that. you're incredible and i'm so proud. >> thank you. so much of it is the journey, honestly. woo! i've been crying all day, so this isn't great. have i learned so much on this show and identify experienced something i would never trade for the world. holding this is amazing, hearing len's comments have been amazing, putting in all the hard time, work is amazing. developing a trust and ska bond and a love for and with somebody that you never get to do in 12 weeks' time is a gift from are god. and that's something that i will have forever, you know. at some point in time it might not be as shiny, but this will always be and that means more to me than anything. >> you got him to cry. you're barbara walters. >> it was one of those moments

you really saw him kind of clue into in part of the experience. he'll be on the tour. but he really is thankful, i think, for the friendship he's gotten with lindsay. you see those two -- i have never seen dancers -- >> so in sync. >> you two are in sync. >> they really are, though. the chemistry was off the charts, from day one. that is what made me say these two together were going the distance. >> i'm so happy for her. she's worked so hard. she's been from third to second and now finally getting her due. she deserves it. let's talk about the other lindsey, lindsey stirling, who we said the violinist -- >> she was my favorite, by the way. >> she danced and performed last night. what did you feel about her? she's come a long way in her journey as well. >> what she does with that violin should not go unnoticed. i mean, it's pretty incredible. >> she has youtube followers. >> it's unreal. to see her ee vofl, they talked about one of the first things

they did, they brought it back last night, one of those situations where you really saw the growth. you see this woman, she came into the competition a pretty solid darncer, but she grew as ballroom dancer and performer. >> and as a person. her package last night talking about her anorexia and her past and gave up the violin. i mean, she was so honest in letting everybody into her life and to watch her journey now, where she is now in her life and what she's going to do going forward. interesting they didn't show up at the end. >> i was bummed about it because mark is going on tour with her for her christmas tour. i wanted to talk to him about that. i also wanted to share that moment with them to see where they were, what they were thinking about because it was a really difficult -- that moment where you're standing up on stage, who's going to win. >> it could have been anybody's game. >> maybe the emotions got the best. talk about frankie's journey. he grew so much before our very eyes. beginning of the season we all

said, no way can that guy dance. look where he ended up. >> i thought he was going to be the sleeper hit from the second performance. the first performance i was like, oh, lord. what have they done to this boy? but i think he has found a new lease on life through this competition, through this process, through this experience. it's incredible to see the timid, shy guy who started this experience now blossoming with a whole new lease on life. >> he was freaking out before every performance. >> oh, no, no, he still freaked out. like, full-on panic attack. >> towards the end he realized that's part of his thing, that's what gets him going. >> he also realize ared it's not a panic attack you're having, you're excited about this. it's the adrenaline rush. he had it when he was racing. he had it when he was acting. now he has it when he's dancing. >> i'm excited to see what he's going to do next. he has to get some great show.

it's your time, frankie. >> he's going on the tour with "dancing with the stars." >> december through march they're all on tour. >> i said, he found a new lease on life. it was a really -- i mean, you see in his package, his friends talk about he was depressed, he was not the person he was before the accident and now he's bright again. >> that's better than any mirrorball. you find yourself. i felt that way with lindsey, too. i have rose-colored glatsz -- >> rose. >> rose. >> we're celebrating the finale. >> it's rose wednesday. >> natalie says it's rose tuesday, i said wednesday. >> what day of the week is it? >> they're going to do an all-athlete season? >> right. >> i love this. >> i think it's interesting. you get the athlete thing, right, a lot of people like to see the athletes perform, but i think it's going to be interesting with the audience because i want to see more than just athletes. i want to see dancers, actors, that kind of thing.

this is what happened last time we traveled. without -- because i'm working. my husband is going to the airport without me. so, i'll meet him there. last time we did this, he left the suitcase behind. the boys' suitcase. we got to our destination and i'm like, where are the kids' clothes? oh. i'm like, what? you left the kids' clothes? then hi to go shopping the minute i landed to buy the kids' stuff. this is what happens when the wife is not there. >> we ride them and tell them what to do. >> i'm not looking forward to that. >> lines stress me out. we just went to new york together. i have a rule, i won't check a bag. even if i'm gone a month. >> who held you up? >> natalie checked her bag because she had a lot of cute coats. i did not. we got there, i said, let's go. she said, i checked my bag. >> forgot the kit rule. >> you hit the ground running. i'm not very patient. so, airport travel, so i suggest -- can we please get the

actually one of the hard scenes, but -- i actually like doing crying scenes because it's real acting. it's the actual acting part. >> what's it like working opposite julia roberts? i mean, have you seen some of her movies before doing this one? >> i saw "hook" and that is one of my favorite movies. >> what was it like with her as your mom? did she give you any advice? she makes me laugh, that big laugh she has, right? >> yeah. she was already so comfortable with me the first time we met. it was so easy to do to pretend she was my mother. >> tell us something fun. your mom is julia roberts and your dad is owen wilson. tell us funny. >> owen wilson, one time on set he stubbed his toe and he fell to the ground during the scene and he said a curse word. >> did he apologize to you? >> oh, yeah. >> good. >> what about julia, tell us something funny. >> she's really good at improv

because she's a real mother and she's already so motherly. that's something great about her. >> did she bring her kids to the set? did you get to meet them? >> yeah, i got to meet her kids. >> sweet. i know she was so into this, you know, the book and then doing the movie, of course and the whole choose kind campaign, which i love. i know that's part of what you're here for today with crest. but it's also something you're doing with schools across the country, right? >> yeah. choose kind is just -- it's just doing whatever you can to make someone else's day better by including people or just even smiling. and that's why i'm so proud to have partnered up with crest. >> you got a nice smile. yeah, good teeth right there. i was thinking about this movie because i was thinking your friends probably wouldn't go see "room." have your friends seen it or going to see "wonder"? >> yeah, all my friends -- all

the grade six classes in my school are going to see "wonder" in theaters and i think a lot of schools are going to do that. that's awesome. >> that's cool. >> and i know a lot of schools are having kids read the book. my kids read it. had you read it? >> no. my older sister was studying it and reading it but i did read the book with my mom during set. >> what did you learn from playing aggie? >> i learned a lot, to choose kind but to also be proud of yourself and to be brave. >> there's such a positive message in this movie. not just about kindness but how to confront bullies and all of that. i think for you, though, you're a middle school sturngts right? you have gone to schools now. i know you're doing this tomorrow with some kids in your school. you're going to see the movie with them as well? >> yeah, that's really exciting. >> how fun for you.

>> it's really fun, yeah. we're going to -- we're going to go -- i think we're going on a walk to the movie theater, which is really exciting. it's going to be so much fun. >> are you like the big stud in school, the big superstar? >> well, not really, no. >> very humble. >> i'm not buying that. looking back on your life, you're 11 now and you just dressed up as 11, so is "stranger things" your show? >> i love that show. who doesn't, though? it's really fun. >> the cutest thing i've ever seen. >> have you seen the second season yet? it's a little scary. >> i'm watching it right now. it is really scary. it's pretty scary. i like to watch it. it's really enjoyable. >> now your whole family, except for your mom, is in a movie. your sister, your dad is in a movie. >> that was so fun. my dad was a camp counselor. my younger sister did a little cameo as background. and then my older sister was one

of the girlfriends. >> how was that working with your family? >> it was fun. usually i don't do that a lot. >> your sisters are actresses, right? >> yeah, they're both actors. and at home we don't really talk about acting. we just like to play around and do stuff, which is good. >> you already have your next role lined up or just going into back to boyhood, back to normal? >> i'm not working on any films right now, but i have two films coming out. i have "predator" and "life and death of john". >> what do you play in that one? >> i can't give it away. >> is "predator" a scary movie? >> yeah, it's really fun. >> do you get scared at all shooting scary scenes? >> sometimes i will. >> can you tell us about

"predator" or is that a secret, too? >> that's a secret, too. >> your lips are are sealed. >> is it true that on set -- they didn't met jacob, they only knew aggie? >> that's true, mentally and physically because while -- i always got on set before anyone else got on set. and i was already in the makeup before they got on set, and they never really saw me. when we took off the prosthetic on set. and even in between takes i was always still as aggie. >> i know you met some kids who have this facial syndrome. what have you learned from your friendships with them? >> i learned a lot. actually, i -- i -- i -- my parents were researching facial differences, we came across a group of children from

children's hospital in toronto. reached out and asked if they could send me letters of experiences they've had or anything they just wanted me to know. later i got a lot of letters that -- from experiences. i remember this one letter was about the experience of being stared at. and i -- that taught me -- that taught me how aggie is feeling when he's being stared at. >> so hard to deal with. >> you've done a great job. >> you made them proud. >> thank you. >> good to have you here. >> good to have you -- well, thank you for having me. >> nice to have you here, too. >> thank you. >> happy thanksgiving with your family. look for nat at the airport. >> he's canadian so his thanksgiving was last month. >> but you're leaving today to go out of town, sflit. >> yes. >> enjoy those crowds. >> you can handle it.
