take a look at this video from sky force 10, crews rush to the scene just after 3:00 this afternoon to this neighborhood. this is on south penn street. no one was hurt in the fire, officials are trying to find out what happened. a river inr roxboro. people along fowler street called the water department, but hours later the water kept coming. crews said they let the water run so they would not interrupt thanksgiving for people on the block. philadelphia water says there was no danger to people or property. >> it's not completely abnormal that on a holiday like thanksgiving or christmas when we are not fully staffed, that a water main break could run for a day or so. >> the water department says this main break looks much more impressive because of the pressure needed to pump water up

the hill. the pipe that burst was just an eight inch main. that's the most common in philadelphia's water network. police are trying to figure out how a young man died after they found his charred body on top of a train. this is a scene at jefferson station in center city this morning. investigators say they found the remains of a young man, possibly a teenager on top of the train car near its power lines. authorities are working to identify the body. the gruesome find, struck a nerve with some commuters. >> it does look like his body is not in normal condition. wow. i don't even know what to say. that's shocking. >> the investigation caused delays on several regional rail lines this morning. new details tonight on a dog attack we told you about last night. police tell us the victim of that attack died at the hospital. this happened on pike street in the city's hunting park section.

officers had to shoot one of the dogs attacking the man. police say the dog bites may not have killed him, and they are looking for another possible reason he died. a jersey shore woman is accused of using a baseball bat and dog to attack a contractor. it all happened after she called the police to stop a nearby construction project. police in longport say when they got to the scene, this 63-year-old woman was swinging a baseball bat at a contractor while holding a dog on a leash. when officers tried to arrest her she took off. they caught her and she's now facing a long list of charges. in philadelphia, a man on a beer run is now on the run from the police after surveillance video shows him swiping a donation jar. the man was paying for his beer, he grabbed the donation jar and just took off. if you know who he is, call police. former national security advisor michael flynn's attorneys say they will no

a big mixup at philadelphia's love park. hundreds of people waited in line for a keepsake, only to be left empty handed. >> nbc 10's aaron baskerville talked to one man who was disappointed because the park has a special place in his heart. >> reporter: it's the holiday spirit that brought hundreds out to the christmas village in center city this morning. but after hours of waiting in line for a love park granite keepsake, that joy started to fade. >> people were led to believe they were being -- actual pieces were being sold here today. and to find out it's just a form, no timeline. >> reporter: kevin was one of those hoping to get his hands on that gift. he tells nbc 10 love park means everything to him. it's where he got engaged to the love of his life, his wife stephanie. here's what parks and recreation sent out yesterday. >> we got here 10:00 and the line's been from the beginning

nbc 10 first alert meteorologist tammie souza joins us. a little bit of rain, but also sun this weekend. >> we'll have maybe a little bit of everything. it depends on where you live, if you'll see the rain. which we actually need it. we're going to go into a dry spell. but i get ahead of myself. i'm letting the cat out of my bag. i'll tell you the whole story. let's start off with where were you this morning? 30 in it philadelphia if you were in philadelphia. if you were at allentown, you saw 24. 26 in wilmington. 24 in atlantic city. it was a very chilly start to the day. and at this point, we are in the 40s. we made it into low 50s across much of the area. so that was nice. that was seasonal. right now, 49 in philadelphia. 47 in allentown. 47 in wilmington. 47 in atlantic city. well, we are going to watch those temperatures drop a bit more tonight. in fact, we're going to be down at 8:00 at 42 in philadelphia. 40 by 11:00 tonight under clear skies. very light winds out of the south. because we have such a dry atmosphere, we are not expecting

any fog to form with these light winds and clear skies. we'll continue to drop and we'll be in the mid30s tonight. we won't be as cold as we were last night. here's what you need to know. we'll have a nice saturday. we'll get a warmup into the mid, maybe even the upper 50s. that will be above average for this time of year. we'll see some clouds building in the afternoon and then we'll see the possibility of a shower t. sunday, completely different. the front that brings that possibility of an isolated shower on thursdasaturday turns cool. we'll be looking at the upper 40s. a little bit of a difference between the two days. got rain, we have a dry stretch all of next week. we're below average at this point. any rain would be welcome. we don't want to be into a deficit headed into a warmer than average winter. and then, another warmup next week. so it begs the question where is fall? we're not going to go into a terribly cold pattern at this point. we'll be flirting with 60 by the middle of next week.

the woman who lives here was returning home from a holiday get together. she found her house of 30 years going up in flames. her son was inside when the flames started along east price street. he managed to get out safely, but terrell johns has been living in the house since the 80s. she says she's keeping the faith. >> god is able, something good is going to come out of all this. i know it will. i'm not trusting jesus for nothing. i didn't turn 80 something for nothing for all this. i didn't come this far for him to leave me. he said he'll never leave me and forsake me and i believe it. >> several nearby homes were also damaged. investigators are looking for what started that fire. a devastating fire on the shore tops the stories making headlines county by county. a viewer sent us this video of the early morning flames that destroyed three beachfront homes along pleasure avenue. no one was in those houses. the firefighter did suffer a

macy's department stores are dealing with credit card machine issues this black friday. an outage that slowed sales started impacting stores around 1:00 today. we reached out to macy's and a spokesperson told us they're working to resolve the problem as quickly as they can. this holiday season might not be the time to procrastinate when it comes to getting a christmas tree. experts warn about a possible tree shortage. the cause of the shortage dates back a decade when the recession hit. tree sales fell sharply in 2007 so farmers planted fewer trees. the result ten years later? a smaller supply. because of that smaller supply, you could be paying big bucks for a tree this season. >> everyone in the market is going to run out of trees this year. there's just not enough christmas trees to go around. >> wow, experts say the increase in price for christmas trees

sales. but still paying all its employees to take the day off. we have new information about that massive data breach involving uber. the ride sharing company says it discussed the hack with potential investor softbank before going public with the details earlier this week. uber is trying to complete a $10 billion investment deal with the japanese company. on tuesday uber disclosed hackers stole data from more than 57 million drivers and customers. it's the final chapter for nearly 200,000 books at a college library in pennsylvania. starting next month officials at the indiana university of pennsylvania will take 170,000 books off the shelves. that's because they haven't been checked out in the last 20 years. the school says despite downsizing the library, it will not affect any jobs. sending a message to his teammates. >> what malcolm jenkins wants the eagles to keep in mind as they prepare to face off with
