good evening, i'm keith jones. >> i'm erin coleman. online shopping steals some of the spotlight, many shoppers told us they love the thrill of hunting down bargains in person on black friday. in delaware tonight, shoppers from all over our area showed up at the christiana mall to score the tax free benefits of the first day. montgomery countyerse nbc, t the premium outlets in limerick, where people told us they like showing up in person and touching the merchandise. if you didn't get out with the black friday crowds, you can still score deals all weekend long. >> let's go to george spencer live in king of prussia, george? >> reporter: erin, we've been here for about four hours now. first outside with the parking and traffic madness, now indoors with the bustle that's actually inside the mall. for many here, black friday is an annual opportunity not to be missed. but if you are missing it, the discounts should stick around for a few days.

at the christiana mall this morning, handfuls of shopping bags, illustrate this year's black friday story. and up at the premium outlets in limerick it was the seemingly never ending lines of customers, including this one outside tory birch where we found monica carroll waiting for one particular must have deal. everything else, she'll be on cyber monday. >> i'm waiting for monday. >> reporter: going online? >> online. >> reporter: more people are making the shopping shift online. founders at south jersey's best blackfriday.com. tell us their rush started last night and will continue through monday. and they say the discounts stick around as long as the product is available. >> most of the deals it's going to be throughout the weekend. you'll be able to get it on saturday and sunday. amazon, they don't take the deals offline. >> reporter: their website curates the best discounts across all retailers.

and even though they're all about online shopping, they warn that the internet's biggest retailer won't always have the biggest discounts. >> obviously, amazon is a good bet, but sometimes your walmart, best buy, target can beat amazon pricing. >> reporter: here in blackwood, bestblackfriday.com saw its biggest day ever yesterday. about four million unique visitors. some diehards insist the in store experience is all they want on this day. >> no matter what economically is going on we'll be out here for the holiday festivities. >> reporter: and by the looks of it here at king of prussia, she is not the only one who feels this way. this mall, the biggest on the east coast, and all of the simon malls in our area, will stay open until about 10:00 tonight for people who feel like they need to get out here and get in on the black friday frenzy first-hand. live at the king of prussia mall, george spencer nbc 10

weekend forecast in just a few minutes. new at 6:00, we're getting an up close view of the damage left by a raging fire that burned down a chester county senior home one week ago. tonight, federal investigators are finished at the scene but they can't say what caused the fire. nbc 10's aaron baskerville tells us how one survivor came back to the scene to see what's left of her old home. >> reporter: for the first time we're getting a closer look from the ground at the damage at barkley friends in west chester. debris is everywhere outside the senior living center where a fire had 137 residents scrambling for safety. >> i turned around and saw literally a sheet of fire. i never seen anything like that before. >> reporter: sue broderick lived in room 215 on the second floor of the south wing, thankful to be standing here talking to us. she came back for the very first time today to see the damage for herself. >> i can't really tell you how i

felt. it was horrifying. and i guess i was traumatized. >> reporter: the atf tells nbc 10 the national team of investigators has turned the scene back over to local authorities today. there still is no official cause of the fire, believing it started in the south wing. when you look at a scene like this what goes through your mind? >> it's unbelievable so many people were able to escape. >> reporter: broderick, who lived here for two and a half years was able to walk downstairs, where firefighters unlocked a door to get her out. a more dramatic rescue was caught here on surveillance video with a firefighter throwing a woman over his shoulder. >> unbelievable. unbelievable. it's amazing anybody got out. >> reporter: she looked back at the scene with a heavy heart, knowing four residents did not make it out alive. aaron baskerville, nbc 10 news. meanwhile, take a look at this, a delaware county home engulfed in flames. sky force 10 over that scene, crews rushed there just after

3:00 this afternoon. this neighborhood in clifton heights. this is on south penn street. no one was hurt in the fire. officials are trying to figure out what happened. at least 235 people are dead and more than 100 hurt after an attack on a mosque in egypt's sinai peninsula. the attack happened today, northeast of cairo. this has been a volatile section of egypt. the mosque was crowded during prayer. militants blasted helpless worshippers with gunfire and rocket propelled grenades. then they blocked escape routes. no one has taken responsibility for the attack. this afternoon, the president tweeted, will be calling the president of egypt in a short while to discuss the terrorist attack with so much loss of life. we have to get tougher and smarter than ever before. and we will. need the wall. need the ban. god plebless the people of egyp the family of a new jersey man killed in a terror attack

plans to sue new york city. he was killed last month. drake's parents filed notice they will sue the city. they say the truck shouldn't be able to get on to the path. the suspect is charged with murder in the deadliest terror attack in new york since 9/11. back here at home, a gruesome find at a center city septa station causing delays for commuters this morning. after police found a charred body on top of a train. this was the scene at jefferson station at 10th and market. investigators believe the remains are that of a young man, possibly a teenager. they're now trying to identify that body and figure out the cause of death. the wave of sexual misconduct allegations coming out of hollywood is growing. the lapd says the number of accusations against entertainment figures is at 28 up from 22 last week. harvey weinstein is at the center of at least one of those investigations. the allegations against weinstein set off a series of

sexual misconduct accusations against high profile men in entertainment, media, and politics. in philadelphia tonight, love park's renovation almost done. but the city now says the cost of the whole project is going up. here's a live look at center city at that park there. officials say the original budget was around $16.5 million. now it will be around $26 million. that includes $23 million for construction and around $3 million for design fees. the park has been under renovation since february of last year. hundreds of people woke up early today to buy a piece of love park. many were sent home, eventually frustrated and empty handed. instead of being able to buy the granite love keepsake, shoppers were told to sign up for one. the city would only say the gift would not be available today because of quote, unforeseen circumstances. one shopper has a special reason for waiting in line for hours. >> i was engaged in the park here, so i was hoping to get one

the neighborhood's thanksgiving meals. >> reporter: friday morning, the water is still pouring down fowler street. the pressure needed to pump it up the hills, forcing thousands of gallons through the eight inch main below. >> 6:00 a.m. this morning, there's basically been a river going down fowler street. >> reporter: neighbors called for help thursday night. the water department says it made a choice to leave the water on to not interrupt thanksgiving. >> we had a smaller staff on. and we did not find this water main break causing any property damage. so we decided to let the water main stay on and make repairs today. >> reporter: according to the water department repairs like this are going to become more frequent. philadelphia individuals about two water main breaks a day. most happen between december and march, starting the first week of december. the philly water department will have more crews working 12 hour shifts to manage. the neighbors today did not think the response was fast

enough. when we got here philadelphia police came to close the road. >> but still the water main hasn't been shut off. it's still just draining water. >> reporter: the water has been off since just before noon and the water department says it will be back on by morning. that eight inch pipe below this street, it is one of the most common pipes you'll find in the entire philadelphia water system. the department tells us if there would have been a risk to people or property they would have shut the water off on thanksgiving. nbc 10 news. new at 6:00, a south jersey secret santa is making spirits brighter for dozens of families tonight. >> the man paid off 62 lay away orders at the toys r us in cherry hill. the total price tag, $10,700. he bought another $2,000 in toys to donate to toys for tots for other children to enjoy this christmas. >> just unbelievable.
