right now at 11 the a mother vanishes. tonight friends and neighbors are making a new push to solve this chester county woman's mysterious disappearance. good evening, keith jones. >> new at 11. brandon hudson shows us how one family will spend the holidays without their loved one. >> this photograph and her mom was from last christmas. friends say she celebrated the holiday with family in poland every year. but that won't happen this december. since she disappeared in march. >> it's heartbreaking to think the annual trip they all took together between christmas and new yores won't happen. >> reporter: ashly may organized the fundraiser to help find the missing mother.

>> i would go to any event for her. >> reporter: she donated money from her school. where she was a student. the mother stopped going class after she had her son. but they kept in touch. until she vanished. >> i feel in my gut. >> reporter: pennsylvania state police say her husband was the last person to see her leave their home. he said she left in panic. police found her car in a nearby trail and searched the home weeks later. no luck. >> we were focusing on areas she could have walked to and been disoriented or somebody did something to her. >> reporter: mark works with greater philadelphia search and rescue. helping the family look for answers. as we head into the cold, the search gets harder. >> it's frustrating is wasted time. you can't get it back. >> reporter: an organizer said the money will be split between her family and greater

same area where officials believe the fire started. >> turned around and saw a sheet of fire. and i have never seen anything like that before. i can't really tell you how i felt. it was horrifying. i was traumatized. >> investigators can't say what caused the fire. three beach front homes were destroyed after a fire. a viewer sent this video of the early morning flames along pleasure avenue. no one was inside at the time. firefighter and small injury at that scene. but will be okay. streets turned into rivers today. a water main break flooded this neighborhood this morning. they called the water department last night but crews said they left the water run. so they wouldn't entrept thanksgiving for people on the block. water was shut off this morning and crews expect to have it back

on by the morning. it's not completely ab normal that on a holiday when we are not fully staffed. that a water main break could run for a day or so. >> the main break looks much more impress i because of the pressure needed to pump water up the hill. police believe a charred body found on top of a train is that to have a young man possibly a teenager. the body was found at jefferson station before 8:00 this morning. the investigation caused delays on several regional rail lines. police are working to identify the victim and how he died. a woman is charged in the death of a highway department worker. police say on september 5, she drove over an orange cone hitting two workers. you can see in this video from sky force 10 the windshield on the car is smashed in. she's expected in court later

this month. tonight a good cause had philadelphia neighbors hitting the hardwood. high school in east german town held the charity basketball game. sponsored by men who care of german town. the goal was to raise money and awareness for suicide prevention and antigun violence efforts. you can give shelter animals a new home for the holiday. it's offering free pet adoption at the main shelter through sunday. shelter officials say providing a home to an animal in need is the gift that keeps on giving. >> a true sign hoflt day here. the blue cross river rink is open. it is ready for business. the rink has been packed all day. as you can see into the night too. >> the largest out door rink was filled with families looking for some post thanksgiving fun. look at the people visitors tell us even if you don't want to

area. at the jersey shore a woman is charged with assaulting a contractor. long port police say susan was complaining about nearby construction work. when it didn't stop she confronted the victim with baseball bat and a dog. the victim was not serious hi hurt. dramatic footage tonight showing a woman being saved from the tracks. with really not a second to spare. it happened tuesday in australia. the woman was walking across the track. police aren't sure why. and tried to climb up the platform. three officers rushed to help her and saved her life. tobacco companies haven't run ads on tvs for decades. that will change this weekend. the federal government ordered a big tobacco to air these messages in prime time. stating in black and white that cigarettes are deadly. and companies designed their products to be addictive. the ads come 11 years after the

department won a lawsuit against big tobacco which said the industry deceived the american public. the companies are paying for the ads. >> hundreds of people got up early this friday and waited in loin for a special gift. but they left empty handed and tonight they want to know where's the love. this is the love they were after. engraved piece of granite from the original love park. shoppers were instead told to sign up for one. turns ot jus hours before the sale was set to start. the city found out they didn't have permission to sell the souvenirs. >> people were led to believe actual pieces were being sold here today. and it's just a form. and a time line. >> a spokesperson said that he hope to clear up the matter as soon as possible. love park. the renovation almost done.

skiers were going downhill for the first time today. at camel back mountain they have been making a lot of snow recently. but it isn't open just yet. the resort did open its snow tube hill tonight. like the slopes, the weather will have a lot of ups and downs over the next week. >> tammie souza is here. >> it is going to be a spectacular day tomorrow. and we'll take a turn for sunday. it's next week i'm excited about. for tonight if you're out shopping or dinner. we have clear skies. our high today was 51. we should be at 53. we're below average. we didn't pick up rain and the wind gust 19 miles per hour. so all in all it was a seasonal day. i would say comfortable. now this is what we're looking at. all day i have been fix on the warmth to the west.

51 chicago earlier. we were near 70 out across the plains. woer at 50 open ha right now. all the warmth is shifting east towards us. and there's more cold air building in across the plains. that's where we'll see the ups and downs. warm to cool to warm, warm for a while. and crash back down. so let's check out what's going on. here in our area. the 40s. closer to home, comparable temperatures. although chillier in allen town. at 30. 38 dover. coats ville down to 34. the clear skies. here's what you need to know. we'll have a nice saturday warm up. in the midto upper 50s. and sunday turns cool and breezy. we have a weak cold front. saturday night. got rain? we sure don't. we'll be in the dry stretch.

and we are already below average for rain. and non-fall next week. another warm up and 60s perhaps several days. everything is quiet. even the region is quiet. clouds billion building into western pennsylvania. we will see the clouds increase tomorrow afternoon. and then we will see the chance of a sprinkle. it really is just chance. watch as the pront comes through, there goes the temperatures. they tumble. we make it into the mid-50s tomorrow. by early sunday morning you'll wake up and be looking at the 30s and only going to make it spoo the mid-40s on sunday. we rebound a bit on monday. get back up to about 50 degrees. but again we have to climb from there. we will do that. we will do that on tuesday. we have wentz weather going on sunday. and the eagles take on the bears. 47 at 1:00. we'll see 49 at halftime.
