police say the 64-year-old did not immediately tell medics the child shot herself in the thigh and the woman allegedly hid the gun before they arrived. >> i wouldn't know her character to say why, you know, she did that, but some people get nervous. that's the only thing i could think of and afraid to be in trouble. >> reporter: police say the gun who is also facing charges. he usually locks his gun himself but the man was running late to work and asked his mother to secure the gun for him. the child found the gun, unlocked in a closet. >> kids always discover things. >> reporter: earlier this month a 2-year-old in ol any shot himself and later died. a 6-year-old shot his 3-year-old brother at home. and one month before that, a 3-year-old shot his uncle, all of the guns were not locked and stored in safe places. >> it's frustrating. it's driving us all crazy. you have these parents who want

to have guns and you have a right to own a gun, but when you have children, you have a bigger responsibility to make sure that gun's put away. >> as for the 3-year-old for south wilten street she's expected to survive but the doctors are trying to save her leg. >> it's just sad, the whole outcome is sad. >> a philadelphia police officer is recovering tonight after being hit by a car in oxford circle. police tell us the officer was directing traffic when an 89-year-old woman drove around a police car hitting the officer. she was taken to the hospital and expected to be okay. the driver of the car has not been charged. and argument over parking ended with a stabbing and two police officers say they just happened to be in the right place at the right time. police say around 12:45 sunday morning, two men started to fight about a double parked car on cal owe hill street. one of them stabbed the other twice in the chest.

two officers were gassing up their patrol car at the same time and then heard the screams. >> incredibly this occurred right in the shadow of a police district, of a police station in center city. >> the man who was stabbed was taken to the hospital and the other was arrested. new information tonight about a story we first told you about last night at 11:00. police are now saying it appears the two people found shot to death near i-95 in bucks county were killed in a murder/suicide. around 5:30 yesterday police got a call that a woman was running in the northbound lanes of i-95 in bensalem and when they got there they found her dead. she had been shot a number of times. david chew len chew was found dead on top of her still holding a gun. a man shot by police last night in trenton is now charged. police say he was running from officers and then reached for a gun. two officers shot him.

the runway. no one was hurt but passengers were bussed back to the terminal. and on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year, there were three shootings at shopping centers across the country today. in upstate new york, thousands of shoppers are were evacuated from a mall after shooting this afternoon. local and state police, s.w.a.t. teams and the fbi responded. police say it might have been an accidental discharge. two people were hurt after fragments of tile exploded when the bullet pierced the ground. police are still searching for the person who was carrying and fired that gun. take a look at this. surveillance pictures. the man on the escalator is pointing a fake gun at police in a texas mall. an offduty officer was investigating a theft when the suspect started running. the man flashed what looked like a gun so the offduty officer shot him. no word on the suspect's condition. no one else was hurt.
