president trump says additional major sanctions will be imposed on north korea following the launch of another long-range missile. he said he spoke to the president of china and the situation will be handled. it showed kim jong un signing the launch order. it came down in the sea of japan. it said it is capable of reaching all of the u.s. mainlands. it is the 20th launch that year. united nations security council

it is 65 at bethany beach. the average high is 61, 61 yesterday and perhaps higher than that today and we start dropping. we drop but it's back to average for this time of year. over the weekend it's not going to be that cold either. we do have a cold front that is going to be coming through. it is fairly close to us. it's not that cold bethiehind t front. it was in the 60s there yesterday. st. louis was in the 70s. they dropped quite a bit. it's not that cold. minneapolis 33. there is still no real cold air in the country. we have mostly clear skies around. not a lot with that front that's approaching. we do see showers coming into

missouri and that could be the beginnings of some activities along the front as it comes in. here we go into tomorrow morning. it is obviously sunny today and sunny tomorrow morning. most of the day could feature sunshine. now we are talking. this is late thursday night after 10:00 or 11:00 p.m. and after midnight towards the shore. there is the front coming through. by the morning rush on friday early morning and especially new jersey and delaware. you may see brief showers. that's about it. so there is the temperatures for today. showers late thursday night and very early friday morning. we are going to be seeing this in the pa suburbs dropping

allegations to light despite how powerful the person is on the other side of them instead of of changing jobs and muscling through women are speaking up and speaking out, a change she is delighted to see. >> if there's no consequence people don't take it seriously. a lot of these organizations have sexual harassment training but what does it actually mean and how you take an instant like matt lauer and use it to go back and then say okay. this happened. we had all of these things in place. it still happened. let's talk about what's not working that is allowing him to do that in spite of having all of these rules and regulations. so talking to your employees and colleagues really will give you the solution for each organization. overall in society we have to send a message which i think these brave women are doing.

arrested a suspect in a string of deadly shootings. >> nbc has more on who police have in custody. >> overnight police making a stunning announcement. >> we will be making an arrest in the seminole heights murders. >> a man they believe is responsible for murders that has shaken the city for nearly two months. police arrested 24 donaldson after apprehending him earlier in the day taking a tip that he was carrying a firearm inside the restaurant. it launched an exhaustive operation blanketing neighborhoods all over tampa. since october 9th four victims all killed within a 7 block area all targeted under the cover of

darkness. family and friends became emotional after learning of the arrest. >> i'm shaking and my hands are sweating. i'm overjoyed we caught this killer. >> it shows his cell phone records put him in the area of the murder. police are saying they found dloeting similar to what the suspect was wearing in the first murder. they also found what appears to be a spot of blood on that clothing. nbc news, tampa, florida. >> pope francis continues his visit by meeting with a supreme council. it came after the pope addressed a crowd and told the country's ethnic minorities to resist the temptation. the trip has been overshadowed by operations targeting the muslim minority. business owners say not in my backyard. they are considering letting a

and we have going to have pretty good weather for that tree lighting. pretty nice right now, 58 degrees, a lot of sunshine in philadelphia and 60 in parts of the area. in south jersey we have a lot of 60s already. it's not even noon. it is 63 here and cherry hill and 62 in millville and 62 in hamilton square. that is pretty warm considering the average high temperature is 54. we do have a cold front that's approa approaching. it doesn't have any rain with it at the moment. behind it there is some what cooler air. 43 in chicago. in the 60s yesterday. this is not cold air really and so it's going to take a while for this cold air we have been talking about to get here.

a few high clouds coming in sboo the region now. there are showers getting into missouri but otherwise it is bone dry in the eastern half of the country. what's going to happen here is we go through the night tonight and into tomorrow morning we are still clear. another front coming through tomorrow night and that's when we could see some showers. it has been pretty dry lately. a lot of this is in the middle of the night. first thing friday morning especially in south jersey and delaware could effect the morning rush. north and west of philadelphia by the morning rush time it's already gone. and the rest of friday pretty sunny and not all that cold. now, tomorrow it is colder. it is about 10 degrees colder than today. it is only 49 here and allentown

at 46 degrees. dover is 55. nobody getting to 60 degrees tomorrow. what about the weekend? we have early morning showers on friday. that's especially true indelawa. that's why i have pa suburbs and lehigh valley dry. some places will have rain and some won't at that time of day. saturday and sunday the weekend is dry. the temperatures are right around average. could possibly be a little bit above. so that's a pretty quiet weather pattern. as we go into next week it is a different story. now we are talking about friday and the weekend. we have warmer air coming back in early next week and then some really cold air. the first of the season starts coming down. by next wednesday it is still
