killers. >> reporter: dinardo appeared thinner than in past court appearances. his hands and legs were shackled. he nodded at his mother and gave her a small smile as he left the courtroom. after the victims families were kept separate. he spoke only a handful of times saying he understood the charges against him. wearing an orange jump suit and green jacket, he entered a plea of not guilty in the four murders. in exchange for taking the death penalty off the table, he led police to with us with respect to any other crimes he may have committed that we didn't even know about. >> reporter: any information shared about potential crimes have been referred to agencies and the jurisdictions could have happened. but says he can't talk about progress of those investigations. he says if he fails to hold up his end of the deal, death penalty is back in play. as for his cousin shawn kratz,

there are no deals, at least not yet. kratz was present on the farm for three of the murders. as investigators spent days searching the farm, kratz was not on the radar until dinabl d gave him up. the da says he will seek to have him put to death upon conviction. defense attorneys for both men left court without talking to reporters. prosecutors have stressed that no deal is in place for shawn kratz, so if he's convicted, they still can seek the death penalty against him. deanna durante, nbc 10 news. turning now to your weather and a refreeze threat after that snowfall overnight. a live look at the italian market and broad street from our campus camera. sidewalks could be icy from any of the snow that melted during the day.

also watch out for black ice tomorrow. side streets could be dangerous. refreezing tonight and a chance for snow tomorrow. >> some parts of the area. we have last night's snow at night. stuck immediately on the cold roads tomorrow the first place may melt before it gets heavier and starts to stick. delaware wanted the places most likely to see the snow south of wilmington where that picture was taken. you can see the moisture in the middle of the country and near the gulf coast is going to combine into a very fast-moving and weak system. here's tomorrow morning. we're dry. anything melted this afternoon still around going to be nice in the morning. but here's the afternoon. here's the next system coming through.

philly may be just on the edge of getting a few flakes. then in the afternoon, the southern half of delaware, jersey shore, seeing a couple hours of snow. we're not talking about long lasting or especially heavy. it's 31 in philadelphia now down to 24 in pottstown. 25 in allentown. it's already a cold night. temperature doesn't even have to go down at all for it to be a cold night. it will be going down somewhat. down into the teens in some parts of the area. we'll talk about how much snow to expect and what to expect for the weekend and the warm-up next week. >> an update to a story we told you about last night. police arrested a man and charged him for hitting a student with his car. he's charged with assault and he was drunk when he hit the student right in front of campus around 6:30 last night. she was taken to the hospital in critical condition. >> temple university police are

going through surveillance video to find out who is responsible for racist posters found on campus. we'll show you one of the three fliers sdovrd on the campus. we blurred out some of the language. in a, the fliers were called disgusting and hateful. >> tonight an update on a fire that killed two children in montgomery county. yesterday's fire was sparked by an extension cord plugged into a space heater. the sheriffs dep's two sons died in the fire. it starleted in the porch area of their home after an electrical failure in the extension cord. his wife and 9-year-old daughter survived. developing now on capitol hill, new trouble for republicans in their fight to change our taxes. passage of the sweeping tax bill is uncertain right now just days before an exexpected vote.

key republicans are withholding support. that includes marco rubio who announced today he will oppose the bill in its current form. tonight e we spoke to a local businessman who will tell you what no other ceo will. he says this tax plan will make the rich even richer. lauren mayk asked him to explain why, all new at 6:00. at the flagship in fish town, his visit is filled with coffee. but it's the financial jolt being crafted in washington that has him buzzing. >> it means there will be a huge wind fal for us companies. >> reporter: this ceo is not happy about it. he recently wrote an op-ed on the issue and is sharing his take. >> it's people who don't need it. >> reporter: proponents on the tax bill say it will help spur growth. >> as we speak, congress has reached an agreement on tax

legislation that will deliver more jobs, higher pages and massive tax relief for american families and for american companies. >> but carmichael say it is won't work that way at his business that has 600 employees and 27 cafes or others. >> if your company gets more money out of the tax bill, are you going to raise wages, grow and hire more people? >> we already pay minimum wage. i'm a ceo. i have a duty to my shareholders. >> reporter: that determines where the money goes. >> i'm going to pay down debt, make a dividend or buy shares back. >> reporter: republicans claim the tax bill will help businesses to invest, grow and compete. carmichael, a democrat, argues they are already doing fine. >> we are on a massive roll here. don't screw with it. >> reporter: a tax break could prompt bigger profits and a

semiautomatic rifle to fire faster so it prates like a fully automatic weapon. caught on camera, police say this man try ied setting a poli station on fire. you can see someone walking up to the front door and another angle shows him throwing something towards the lobby while people are inside. police say the person tried lighting whatever was in the bottle before throwing it, but it not catch fire. new at 6:00, the women of philadelphia city council want every employee to be trained on sexual harassment. a bill introduced today require annual trading. it was prompted by the wave of misconduct allegations around the country. some corner stores in philadelphia may have to take down their bullet proof glass. a new law gives authority to determine if the barriers will stay or go.

right now at 6:00, one cow, two great escapes in just four hours. stormy the cow got loose twice from a nativity scene.

she first trotted away from old first reformed church around 2:00 a.m. police corralled her. they took her back to the church only for her to get out again and she ran into a parking garage. how she got out is and how her escapades cost her her job. >> she was born and raised in philadelphia. >> reporter: she spends most of her time at a farm in red soxbo. she somehow got out of her pen overnight. >> we think someone tampered with it. . >> reporter: you see from the camera she went on to i-95. luckily a state trooper who has a farm helped get storm ji off the road. >> our biggest fear is on the that a car could make a collision with it.

>> reporter: stormy wasn't done. a short while later, stormy busted herself out of the nativity and this time moseyed down second street and the hotel garage. once lured back to the nativity, she met ginger, the skinnier cow who was not replacing her. stormy is back at the tarm. the church has done a live nativity, but in the last few days we had, they got some complaints about the animals being out in the cold. the farm and the church say this is more shelter than these pastor animals are used to. >> technically it is illegal. >> you're not allowed to have farm animals in the city. the church is getting a permit. they also say they don't see any sort of animal cruelty at the church. the church hopes everyone can move past this and enjoy the holidays. tim furlong, nbc 10 news. >> the church tells us they are going to look through surveillance video to see if someone is intentionally let stormy loose.

ring. turning to your first alert weather. another cold night out there. there's snow on the ground that fell overnight. here in philadelphia, that snow developing today could refreeze. we're tracking another chance for snow for some in our area. for that, let's bring in meteorologist glenn "hurricane" schwartz. >> the areas to the north that had the most snow last night are going to have some of that refreezing tonight. this is one example. allentown, that's the pl building. allentown is not going to be seeing any snow from the system. that's going to be more to the south and east. 31 in philadelphia. now some 20s everywhere else except the poconos. it's already 14 degrees. that's cold for the middle of december. and are these numbers. 27 degrees in greenville.

28 in newark. 30 in middletown. and farther to the south in delaware, the warm spots in our area generally. 34 in reading. that's as high as we go. moisture along the gulf coast. very fast moving. there's 11:00 a.m. we have nothing going on. there's like the sidewalks and driveways and snow that wasn't shovelled and melted. but here comes the next area of snow. it could get a few flakes into the philadelphia area. that's during the afternoon and the first flakes would melt. here we are at 2:00 and 3:00. we're going hour by hour. neighborhood by neighborhood,

you can see the central and southern part of delaware. cape may county, part of atlantic county. by 5:00, it's already moving out. that's how brief this thing is. our neighborhood forecast does not have any kind of significant snow. just cloudy skies. temperatures pretty low. but as we go along farther to the south, a better chance of snow than robinsville, which is farther north in new jersey. because the farther south you are, the delaware neighborhood had a chance for snow. let's see how much.

but an inch or snow in some areas. the eagles and giants game looks like it's going to be dry. and z chilly. not too windy. so that's not bad. this is normal for this time of year. we're not seeing weather as cold as what we have seen the last couple days. we're not expecting any snow or rain until sunday night which is only possible. so much of the weekend is is okay. it's on sunday that's possible. temperatures monday and tuesday, some rain with the front coming through. cools us down a little bit as we start winter officially on

kelsey did all he could to take the spotlight off nick foles. he was hurt in a drill and not ep happy about it. let's have a look at how he took out his frustration. got a running start on this recycle bin. he was dealing with an ankle injury, but he got cleated in the shin. he was not happy afterwards either. >> what happened is i'm an idiot. you think at 30 years old i would be able to control myself better than that. nothing serious. i got cleated in one of the drills. it was a stupid reaction. >> nick foles making his second start in the last two against the giants. replacing carson wentz. doable, but not easy. he was asked if the defense needs to step up their game to help out the offense. >> defense has been carrying the load all year. this team has been carrying the

flags are blowing over center city on this chilly night. a live look there. and also over boat house row. always a beautiful shot at night. chilly out there for any outdoor activities this evening. that's not really going to change much for the next few days. >> it's really cold out there now. it's going to be cold all day tomorrow. tomorrow night it's cold. and we're going to see some light snow especially toward the show, south jersey, southern delaware tomorrow afternoon. not going to last long. then we're dry for the weekend except perhaps for some rain sunday night. so most of the weekend is okay. we warm up monday and tuesday. that's going to balmy. but christmas eve, the pattern changes and it's cold again.
