atlanta today. nbc 10's drew smith is live at philadelphia international airport with more on how this power outage is having a major impact even in philadelphia. >> this time of year we're looking at the sky and hoping that snow won't mess up the plans and did not expect a major power outage to impact thousands of flights around the country. >> power outage causes pandemonium so i'm not in the pandemonium stage yet. >> passengers reading up on the bad news when they talk about when they can lead philadelphia after a power loss at atlanta's airport that puts the transit hub in the dark. >> it is a hunk airport so there's no and out of there now. it's closed. >> we really want to get out of here so i don't want to stay other in atlanta. >> delta is the maine carrier to atlanta and already had to cancel several outgoing flights other at phl. passengers say the airline is not putting people up at hotels so they are scrambling avoiding

to spend time in the terminal. >> i have to call some friends to pick me up. >> georgia power's repair crews are looking at an issue in a substation which has impacted the entire airport. >> that's very bizarre. the whole entire thing being out but, you know, here they are. they have been really nice here so that's all you can ask for. >> and like we said, the power has been out for hours and there's been no timetable as to when it may be coming back on. a lot of the passengers we spoke to says we've been rebooked for a flight in tomorrow morning. i'm drew smith. nbc 10 news. >> winning without wentz. nick foles with four touchdown passes to help lead the eagles past the giants. the win guarantees the eagles get a first round bye in the playoffs. nbc 10's steven fisher joins us live from xfinity live in south philadelphia and steven despite the big day for foles eagles fans had to sweat this up out until the end. >> these fans here at xfinity

live are emotionally spent. lots of ups and downs and the game ended an hour ago and most said the eagles fans are pretty confident with nick foles now going forward. the eagles pulled out another close game today. when the clock hit zero fans inside xfinity live felt a sense of relief. >> i've got to be honest, yeah, i was getting a little nervous but i felt that the defense and special teams, they have come through and give the offense another shot. >> crazy actually. i thought they were going to blot giants out. it was a great game to watch. >> the team came back from a 13-point deficit led by quarterback nick foles. >> got to respect him. i like hi. i'm with him. let's get to the playoffs. >> foles threw four touchdowns and had no turnovers and with this performance over the giants the fans think that foles can take them deep into the playoffs. >> nick foles proved something tonight. i'm very excited about nick. a close game like that.

flakes up in the clouds. not reaching the ground in many areas but that potential does increase here through this evening as this warmer air continues to push in our direction, so there could be some light pox of some freezing rain or maybe even some flurries from the pennsylvania turnpike on north. right now temperatures just too warm so anything that would fall would be in the form of either rain or it would be melting on contact with temperatures in the 30s and 40s, but this is what you can expect this evening. we're looking at some sprinkles from philadelphia to the south and east. really to the north and west that we may have the potential for light sleet or freezing rain. i'll have more on that and also the major warmup ahead coming up on your ten-day on 10. >> now to a developing story. tonight governor tom wolf called for a pennsylvania democratic state is following a philadelphia enquirer and daily news investigation. the report talked to rehn people who allege inappropriate sexual behavior towards co-workers by the montgomery county legislator. now the report says he

inappropriately touched female staffers and he promoted an office culture that objectified women. governor wolf said this disturbing behavior is absolutely unacceptable. here's the state senator's response. it is true that sometimes i touch people when i talk to them. a clasped forearm, a pat on the back but never anything inappropriate or sexual. i know now that some people subjectively find that touching unpleasant. the alleged two incidents described to me by the "inquirer" did not happen and i never in any way intentionally or unintentionally touched them inappropriately. it did not happen. nbc 10 has not verified the accuser's accounts of what happened. leach has been in office for 15 years. well, philadelphia police are searching for a woman who was abducted early this morning in north philadelphia. police say she was with family and friends in the area of howard and diamond streets when her ex-boyfriend showed up force her into a car.

the no one has heard or seen from her since. police are looking for a black four-door sedan. and a man survives being shot three times this morning in fdr park. yellow crime scene tape roped off where that shooting happened by the tennis courts. police say a man was selling sneakers when he was shot in the chest, wrist and head. he's in critical condition and police are still searching for the shooter. a man is charged with attempted murder after police in mercer county say he went on a rampage with a sawed-off shut gun. police say it all started last night in hamilton when the suspect jumped into a woman's car. she ran off to get her husband, and police say the suspect shot at both of them but missed. now while officers were searching for him, they found another man who had been shot in the arm. police found the gun along with two other victims could also have been shot. coming up on nbc 10, a snowball fight for the ages.

president trump's transition team lawyer is going after special counsel robert mueller. allegation naz mueller illegally obtained thousands of e-mails as part of his investigation into russian election meddling. mueller's team got the e-mails from the general services administration. the transition team lawyer says the documents were private, not government property. a massive wildfire continues to threaten coastal communities in southern california. officials say the thomas fire is now 40% contained in parts of santa barbara are under evacuation orders.

frans were rolling on time at the andual brandywine railroad holiday exhibition. more than a thousand locomotives, passenger and freight trains moved along 2,000 feet of track. it's one of the largest modular model railroads installations in the world. the exhibit at the brandywine river museum runs through january 7th. a village of vendors offered unique holiday gifts at the green's grow holiday bazaar in kensington. the urban farm and garden center was transformed into a winter wonderland with fresh cut locally grown trees an wreaths. they offered handmade holiday ornaments, ceramics and jewelry. and camden police officers gave santa a helping hand today loading trucks with toys for kids in the community. once all the presents were packed, santa and two elves went door-to-door to deliver the gifts, and they handed out about 1,000 new toys to kids all over the city. well, take a look at the crowd inside temple university's

leah core center at the eighth annual operation brotherly love. 1,700 children were invited to the indoor carnival that provides warm coats, presents to kids in the community. the athletic logue and project home helped out and they had just as much fun as the kids. >> it's an indoor carnival in the middle of the winter. it's cold outside and it's warm inside. >> here everybody is together as a community. >> operation brotherly love is one of the largest holiday events for families in need in the region. no balls were flying today at six flags great adventure ocean county. the goal, to set a world record for the largest snowball fight, and more than 500 people showed up to be a part of it. >> similar snowball flights took place at six flag parks in text

yeah, california and missouri. the number to beat 9,000 people. no word yet if they set a new record, and this was actually planned for last weekend but had to be postponed because of the snow we get so, hmm. they cancelled when it was snowy and had the fight when it's pretty sunny out, right, steve? >> yeah. i guess trying to get there was a little bit challenging last week. i'm glad they got their snowball fight in, a milder day. got hit with a snowball. at least that snowball would member of the temperatures got up into the 40s here this afternoon so it was a nice break from the arctic cold that we've been seeing here for the last couple of daves so as we take a look at the weather headlines you can see we do have spotty light mixtures coming into our area, and that would be mainly north and west of the city. tonight, not everywhere is going to get one of these patches of light mix, but it will be enough to cause a knew spots to get some slippery surfaces. we'll be watching that. the bigger story i think the is milder weather coming our way. monday and tuesday.

monday we get near 50 and tuesday we're well into the 50s. almost a spring tease, and that milder weather will hang around into christmas weekend so the trend is more towards a wet than white christmas. sorry all you snow fans. a lot of you people are getting excited and things can change a little bit, but the trend is definitely for some milder temperatures. so here is your neighborhoods right now. temperatures 41 in philadelphia and 41 in delaware. temperatures in some of the suburbs from chester and montgomery county are cooler so if any of this mix comes in here later on tonight with temperatures right around 32 degrees you may see some slippery spots. again this, will not be a widespread ordeal. 36 in warrington and 36 in new hope right now. temperatures across the area are still not that bad right now. 41 in philadelphia and 38 millville, and the concern is mainly from the pennsylvania turnpike on northward. that's where you have the best chance of any kind of light mixture occurring. radar network showing some of that moisture down to our south.

again, most of this is not reaching the ground, but let's track it hour by hour. as you can see this, little pencil line moving to the north, that is that light mixture there right along the pennsylvania turnpike, i-476 up towards interstate 78 and 80 so just be aware of that, and once we get that out of here we're in the clear here for the rest of your monday. it looks like a nice day ahead of us. so temperatures tonight. 34 in philadelphia and north of west of the city and as we take a look at temperatures tomorrow we start chilly in the morning, mid to upper 30s and look at this. spike it into the mid to upper 40s and not a bad day ahead of us, and the ten-day forecast shows the spring tease ahead of us. unlike this week it will be almost warm in comparison. 46 on wednesday. winter officially arrives on thursday. that's our coolest day of the week and then as we look ahead towards christmas weekend you can see temperatures just a little too warm for snow. let's see what's cooking in
