westbound looking good. also watching 95, and moving through delaware. for the most part, doing well here. 11 minutes on the northbound side from 295 to 495. speeds into the 60s. amtrak, septa, new jersey transit, and patco on time. >> 4:00 a.m. now developing, the power is back on at the world's busiest airport in atlanta. the outage lasted for hours. the power outage yesterday canceled more than 1,100 outgoing flights and delayed at least 250 others. the problem caused a domino effect. air traffic controllers across the country held or diverted planes bound for atlanta. the blackout stranded thousands and raised concerns about the cause. >> i personally thought it was a really big -- i don't know, terrorist attack or something crazy because the power was out, and phones stopped working. >> atlanta's mayor said he cannot rule out terror now, but power company officials say it was an underground fire that caused extensive damage to the

electrical system. right now the impact of the power outage is being felt at philly international. matt delucia joins us there with what's going on. matt? >> reporter: we are also seeing some cancelations for today from philadelphia to atlanta. the majority of them being the earlier flights. behind me, you see a lot of the other flights are still getting ready to take off here to other destinations. it really is only atlanta that is being affected here. delta says most of the sclcance flights are for the early morning. upwards of 300 flights in and out with delta being the largest carrier. the airline is particularly feeling the effects of the power outage. delta is hoping to get back to a normal schedule this afternoon. if you are connecting or flying to atlanta from philadelphia, this airport here simply says you should keep checking with your airline for the status of your flight. we talked with travelers who have been stuck here overnight. of course, we are in the busy holiday travel season.

grocery store in camden and stole cash and merchandize. this is surveillance images. they are from inside elizabeth's grocery on north street last thursday. police just released it which is why we're telling you about it now. at least one of the men had a weapon. investigators hope the video will generate a lead to help crack the case. governor tom wolf called for pennsylvania senator leach to resign immediately following a "philadelphia enquirer" and "daily news" investigation. it included 11 people who allege inappropriate sexual behavior toward co-workers by the legislator. the report says that leach inappropriately touched female staffers, and that he promoted an office culture that objectified women. golf wolf said the disturbing behavior is absolutely unacceptable. here's part of the senator leach's response, "it is true that sometimes i touch people when i talk to them, a clasped forearm, pat on the back, but

nothing inappropriate or sexual. i now know that some people subjectively find such touching unpleasant. that said, the two alleged incidents described did not happen, and i never in any way intentionally or unintentionally touched them inappropriately. it did not happen." nbc10 has not rare fewed accounts of what happened -- verified what happened. leach has been in office for 15 years. the final numbers are in for new jersey's extended bear hunt that ended saturday. officials say hunters -- got less than 407 bears, less than the 636 last year. this year days were added to the season. phil murphy will end the hunt temporarily so other methods can be investigated. bowling helped brighten the holidays for a group affected by a fire. supporter of the post office cafe hosted the fundraiser last

a leading u.s. senator is calling on the government to put new screening devices that detect suicide bombers into use across the country sooner rather than later. >> democratic leader chuck schumer of new york wants the tsa to speed up testing of the technology. the devices look like small tv cameras on tripods. they scan for metallic and nonmetallic objects on a person's body, triggering an ala alarm if it's detected. chuck schumer is hoping new york is next and soon. >> it has to be all hands on deck. tsa, i think, has shown too lax an attitude. >> the tsa says the devices are not ready yet for a national rollout. a terror suspect in new york city injured himself on a subway platform last week when he set off a crude pipe bomb strapped to his chest. firefighters in wilmington want to change a delaware state law so they can start carrying a lifesaving drug. the firefighters are trained to

more than 104,000 people in los angeles will wake up this morning away from their own homes, forced to evacuate as the thomas fire has grown to the third large nest california state history. yesterday cal fire said they have the massive fire nearly halfway contained. two people have died as a result. among them the firefighter who was honored in this procession yesterday. he was part of a strike team in an active area of the thomas fire. new this morning, the owner of the carolina panthers is putting the team up for sale after allegations of sexual misconduct. >> jerry richardson posted this letter announcing his decision.

he's waiting until after the current season to sell the team. this comes amid allegations that richardson used a racial slur against an african-american employee and sexually harassed female workers. the panthers started an internal investigation and welcomed the nfl to get involved. rapper and music producer sean diddy combs is interest friday buying the team. he posted on twitter, "there are no majority african-american nfl owners. let's make history." and two-time nba mvp steph curry tweeted, "i want in." the temperatures weren't the only things dropping the past week. so did the gas prices. aaa says the prices in pennsylvania, new jersey, and delaware all dropped since last sunday. you can expect the price drops to continue. as supply goes up, demand goes down. the price around philadelphia, $2.67. in delaware, the average is $2.31. the new "star wars" movie is proving to be a box office force to be reckoned with.
