died. he was best known for covering some of sporting's biggest events and his catch phrase, oh, my appeared all over. his voice led him to the top of his field. calling the olympics, and bruin basketball games and was most recently the voice of the san diego padres before retiring in 2016 after seven seasons with the team. >> thank you to everyone. it's time for me to move on. and i'm looking forward to that. and i'm looking forward to calling another big league baseball game tonight. >> enberg's daughter nicole confirmed the news with the associated press and said he died at his home, apparently dressed and ready for a trip when the family believes he may have suffered a heart attack. he was 82 years old. >> that's the voice of my childhood there. loved listening to him. as we kick off the christmas holiday weekend, aaa predicts

that 107 million americans will be traveling by planes, trains and automobiles between now and new year's day and the wintry weather will not make the traveling easier. the national weather service has posted traveling advisories from the rockies to new england. we have the holiday forecast. bill? >> yeah, bad timing for busiest travel day. we are seeing snow developing in areas of central and northern new england. as we go lou the day. it's i-90 northwards that we will see the worst of the snow and the worst of the ice developing later on this evening. a bit of rain, cleveland and pittsburgh, big airports like new york certify and philadelphia and -- new york city and philadelphia and d.c., they will be dealing with rainy weather tomorrow. and further to the south, just a real big rain event is under way. we are going to see this developing during the day today, from dallas to little rock to memphis, and all the way through nashville and atlanta, and then in to saturday, a bit of snow on the back side of it.

right now, it is dry and chilly outside. look at the cold temperatures in new jersey. 28 degrees now. just below freezing in the suburbs, and 35 in philadelphia. we have clouds that have moved into the area. it's going to be a mostly cloudy day. there will be a few hours where we'll see some breaks of sunshine, for example 9:00, up to 40 degrees. the temperatures in spite of the clouds will be warming up nicely. 52 degrees for philadelphia. low 50s for new jersey and delaware, into the 40s for the suburbs and the lehigh valley. i'll break it down hour by hour, show you what the day looks like and give an idea of when the rain will move in when i'm back in ten minutes. first katy zachry has your first alert traffic. good morning. i want to start out with a look at the majors in pennsylvania. 95 as you make your way southbound between woodhaven and the vine. as we go later in the morning, that might be a trouble spot. right now, no crashes, no delays. a 13-minute drive. 76 eastbound as you make your way from the pennsylvania turnpike to the vine street expressway, that's an 18-minute drive. however, let's look live at 76. this is montgomery drive.
