chill which will be even worse degrees the day on monday. at 11:00 in blue bell. it is 1in wilmington. actual air temperatures today a little bit better than yesterday but not by a lot. we are up to 20 in philadelphia and 19 in blue bell. today will be the better of the next coming days ahead because of less wind and also less threat of snow. the radar is dry. our next system we are tracking here will arrive during the day on saturday. a coating of 2 inches normally would pt n't be a big around here. we issued a warning for light snow tomorrow followed by da dangerous round of cold. any untreated surface will be slippery. this is a four-day alert.

this is for the entire viewing area. it is from 5:00 a.m. tomorrow through tuesday. it is almost unheard of. you'll see why. first we have a round of light snow. normally it is not a big deal in philadelphia. ground temperatures are so cold that the road chemical solutions are not as effective. when a road is not treated it is slippery. it is the dangerous chills that last through the day on tuesday. it is also new year's eve weekend. timing is not working out on this one. a little bit of good news. the wind is relaxing a bit. we have seen some breaks for sunshine. 22 in south jersey.

one of the coldest spots is in burkes county. it is 13 -- there you are. it is moving over to the east. we are temperatures in the low to mid-teens. it will be a struggle once again here for today even though we all see partial sunshine at times. temperatures not moving much. it is a little bit of a breeze out there. look what happens to the temperatures. feels like 15 in the northeast and 6 below in mount poconos. the attention turns to the midwest. let's take a look at the satellite right now. crow cro clouds are starting to stream in. the snow won't begin until to

tomorrow. temperatures boo tinto the low mid-20s. by 9:00 down to 18 degrees. you can see this drop off in temperatures as we move through this evening. after that sunset it will get cold. in delaware temperatures around 20. gep, not much wind so it's not as blewal. no threat of snow tonight. we'll start the hour. you can see the snow off to the west moving in around 5:00 or 6:00 in the morning. it won't be a lot and it won't be heavy. it will do its damage on any surfaces untreated. be careful tomorrow and then the focus turns into the cold. how much snow are we talking about? 1 to 2 inches of snow. i don't think it's a plowable snow but it will be a snow of inconvenience. she here is what we are looking at. we are looking at a coating to 2 inches.

by the time you get into sunday and monday you need to add more layers. you need to trap that heat in. normally i would show you kur current conditions. we'll be seeing snow in all of our neighborhoods. it starts around 6:00 or 7:00 and continues on and off throughout the day. with these temperatures that snow will stack up quickly. it will be a fluffy snow. the air is very dry and very cold. this is the powdery stuff. you'll see that at 10:00 tomorrow morning. the poconos will be seeing more snow. there will be maybe some enhancement of the snow along the jersey shore. we'll have to see if we have any fans here as some of the ocean moisture gets in the system. it will not stick around and

won't stall. the next problem will be the cold and frigid air that comes in behind it. here is a look at the snowfall totals. you can get more enhancement across south jersey. i'll be with you starting at 5:00 a.m. it is brutal sunday through tuesday. wind chills from 5 to as low as 20 below in the poconos. layers, layers, layer. people, pets and pipes. look out for neighbors check in with them several times this weekend. it is serious stuff. this is 6:30 tomorrow evening. loo look how this color changes here. look at the feels like temperature by 7:00 a.m. is 1 degree in philadelphia, 5 below in allentown. you can see no real improvement.

7:00 getting ready to go to the new year's eve party. plan on a temperature of feeling like 3 degrees. aga again, take breaks and give yourself time to warm up and lots of layers. we have 4 below in philadelphia and 20 in the poconos. look at that, wind chills of 5 to 10 degrees above zero. it could not come at a worst time. we have so many going on here. it will be absolutely brutal. da da dangerous cold. mummers parade, feels like 0 at 9:00 in the morning. the cold will continue all day lopg. if they go ahead with the parade make sure you're dressed accordingly. if you're body starts to feel
