rather be. for folks in the northeast and the midwest, the cold is almost over. we're finally turning the corner coming off what has been the coldest two-week stretch on record. here at jfk, it was the record of 4 degrees that broke the record of 6 set in 2014. right now, it's almost 20. but for those traveling it was absolutely miserable, with the cold, cancellations and the chaos. this morning, a new headache for passengers at new york's kennedy airport. just when air traffic seemed to be thousanding out, a water main break on sunday, apparently caused by the extreme cold, causing more chaos. water flooding from the ceiling inside terminal 4. power had to be shut off. all incoming flights had to be diverted. the weather channel's stephanie abrams had just landed. >> they made everyone leave

"fire and fury," which details a white house in chaos. the president's former top adviser, steve bannon, is backtracking after he was quoted in the book, accusing donald trump jr. of treason for meeting with a russian lawyer during the campaign. over the weekend, bannon writing in a statement, his comments were not directed at trump jr., but rather the president's former campaign chair, paul manafort, also at the meeting who should have known better. i regret that my delay in responding to the inaccurate reporting regarding don jr. has distracted from the president's accomplishments. bannon said his support of the president is unwavering. on "meet the press" the book's author made a shocking assert n assertion, that white house official s constantly reference the 21st amendment. many say trump is unstable and

>> all right, guys. here in los angeles and much of california, they're getting much-needed rain. but a lot of it is coming. in fact, we have flash flood watches from santa rosa all the way down to los angeles, riverside. the heavy rain on the burn scar areas could cause mudslides and flooding. we can see rainfall and strong winds. variable winds anywhere from 30 to 70 miles per hour along the coast. up in the mountain passes, could be upwards of 80 miles per hour. as we look at rainfall totals through tuesday into wednesday, locally about four to six inches of rain, especially between santa barbara and los angeles. but some of the foothills could see seven to ten inches of rain. that could lead to flooding and mudslides. so, this is going to be watched very closely out here. that's what's going onround the aco good morning. i'm meteorologist bill henley. a dry start this morning.

almond oil. mix it up and apply it on to your skin. moisturize, leave it on ten minutes or so, wash it off and your skin will feel fabulous. >> dip a tortilla chip in it and call it good. next, this is for lips? >> lips have no oil glands in them. we lick them. sometimes we use lip balms that can dry out your skin. you want to use a lip balm. this one has oatmeal in it. or something as simple as aquafor, can be a great recommend if i for your lips. >> you night want to take a toothbrush and get rid of the dry spkin. you can also use a green tea bag. green tea contains anti-inflammatories that work really well. then, take olive oil out of its

little set here and apply on to the skin. and you have a great lip balm. >> all of us have been talking about cracked hands from this cold weather. >> gloves are the key to improving your hands. keep them in every coat pocket. keep them at home. you have gloves that you can apply your own moisturizer on. there's special gloves. you can try them on. they contain an oil inside of them. >> no way. i love these. >> mineral oil and olive oil. you leave them on your hands when you're watching tv. >> do you put moisturizer and put these on? >> you can. there's moisturizer built into these. >> i want that. >> here we go. >> i got it. >> she wants that. >> i don't blame her. you can buy coconut hand moisturizers. you can also make your life really simple, take some olive oil or coconut oil, and apply it on to your hand.
