we're talking 30s by tomorrow morning. a look at i 76 at city oov avenue. besides rain. fog will be an issue for drivers. tammie souza joins us with the forecast. >> it's going to be a busy night out there. if you are out and about driving you'll be wearing a lightweight jacket. you'll be comfortable but dealing with ponding on the roadway. localized flooding. low lying areas you'll find the fog. we have a first alert through tomorrow night. and continue to sew rain tonight. period of heavy rain and isolated thunder storms out there. along with that fog. we have seen anywhere from one to two inches of rain across the area. probably another half inch of rain. the arctic blast moves in tomorrow. temperatures drop as much as 30 degrees. in two hours. it will be fierce. so whatever you wore today you'll need to put it away and pull ot the winter gear.

home visiting family over winter break. his body was found buried in a shallow grave in a park. he was the last one to see him alive. >> we don't know the location of the murder. specifically. we know that where we discovered the remains. and we know mr. wood ward self-admittedly put himself at the location. >> investigators are still working to determine a motive for the murder. tonight a hit and run crash confession. a driver admits he was racing before hitting and killing a man in bucks county. he's not behind bars. now police are trying to get him back from over seas. brandon hudson has the story. >> it was a tragedy just days before christmas. prosecutors say sifter was behind wheel december 10 when his car hit and killed williams. riding his bike.

he was racing another car on route 13. he took off in his benz and drove the damaged vehicle to a garage. two days later he boarded a plane. >> it's not fair. it's not fair. they can fwo to another country. and not have to pay the price. >> williams neighbor last saw him a week before the death. >> he was a good neighbor. it's a shame what happened. they leave him lay there on the ground. >> reporter: investigators found the damaged mercedes at a home. sifter told a man who lives there he hit a deer. days after flying, prosecutors say he called the police and admitted his involvement in the crash. saying he has been racing at speeds exceeding 70 miles per hour. he left the scene because he was scared. >> it's an extradition issue. >> they're working with the prosecutors office and the feds to bring sifter back. the turkish born american

citizen does have motivation to return. >> he has a young child in the united states. it's unfornt the situation for not only the deceased family and also his family. >> the district attorney office says that sifter has attorneys in turkey. as well as here in the united states. the rain added to the mournful mood outside in center city today. that's where family, friend and first responders gather to pay final respects to a fallen hero. the sound of bag pipes mixed with rain drops creating a somber sound track for the funeral of fire lieutenant. the 42 year-old died last saturday after he ran into a burning home. trying to save a life. >> mat didn't go home saturday. for his family and friend there is no sol is and no words.

there's only the knowledge that he every day of his life was a hero. he lived, ate, slept and breathed this job. >> his sacrifice was honored with a promotion to captain. a shooting in burling ton county around 4:00. in edge water park township. they have a person of interest in custody. no charges have been filed. tonight president trump is denying he made crude comments about african and haitian immigrants during a meelting with senators. today the president responded on twitter. insisting he never said anything derogatory. other than haiti is obviously a very poor and troubled country. end quote. despite the presidents denial, illinois senator who was in the meeting insisted the president did indeed use the term.

our head spin. >> it is such a whiplash. we have been calling it that all week. it is. you rarely see temperatures falls like this. we made it to 64. in philadelphia today. that's about 24 degrees above average. this is a gift from mother nature. we have fog out there. all the warm air. above the cooler water. on the river. we had a mystical looking day. right now it's 62 degrees. 62 degrees. in january. in the middle of the nilgt in philadelphia. you saw people out and about in short sleeves. won't be the case tomorrow. 96% humidity. we have wind out of the south. here is the taste of what we'll go through. we have the 62 that looks great. 60 at 2:00 a.m. 59 at 4:00 a.m. and then it goes straight down. in fact we're actually going to be in to the 20s. this forecast model is just a little bit optimistic. it will get quite cold. rain all day today.

we have had almost an inch and a half in philadelphia. three quarters in redding. mount holly a half inch. not as much on the jersey shore. half inch in dover. the rain is continuing out there tonight. bands of heavy showers come in. we have seen severe weather to the south. across virginia and maryland. and the carolinas. none of that reached into our neighborhood. we're not expecting it. we could have a clap of thunder here and there. so up in burkes county moving into the pennsylvania suburb. a few lingering showers. from atlantic city to ship bottom. clearing out. to toms river. again we'll see the passing showers. the big peckture shows there's a big batch of rain yet to move through the area. look at the snow. going all day long in ohio. that is moving our way.

we won't get the snow but the pink we could see freezing rain. here's the system off to the south and east. it will lift across the area. hour by hour. through what's going to happen. watch the numbers. we have the wind coming in southeast. that's a nice mild wind. and we have the rain across the area. heavier rain will move in about 2:00 in the morning. we have south wind. look at the shades of pink. headed towards the mountains. the cold front is starting to come through. by the time we get 5:30 a.m. 4 is philadelphia. they could see freezing rain. maybe a sleet mess up in burkes county. for all of you up there please approximate careful on the roads in the morning. 9:30 in the morning we're into the 20s. winds coming in out of the north and west. game is on right there. 27 degrees. we tumble over night. we'll wake up at 21. sunday morning only about 14
