i'm denise nakano. and that's the feeling right now for the million plus eagles fans in our area. they pulled off their first playoff win in nine years. live team coverage on that win from everything on the big plays from the fans going crazy tonight and what's next for the team and the city. we'll start with drew smith where it was a party all night long and all day, drew. >> reporter: it was so fun. thousands of fans streaming out of that stadium down here onto the streets with us. people just going crazy, dancing, sengininging, jumping. for the fans, this victory was so sweet. fans feeling good and letting loose after this eagles playoff win, and their taking some credit too. >> the fans really brought it today. i mean no question about that.

nbc 10 news. ryan is throwing it up in the air. incomplete! incomplete! >> and calling the biggest play of the game. taking a last minute stand but the birds pulled it off danny pommelsright now for a fu. what a low scoring game but a heart was jumping out of my chest in that last drive. beating the odds in the process, of course. so many people expected them to lose, but they believed in themselves and in the end that's all that really matters. look at this. the ball bounces off the falcons knee with tory smith would setup a jake elliot field goal. then eagles in the fourth quarter, on fourth down the field of victory.

the sports complex. here's a live look at the wells fargo center where the killers were playing tonight. and there were no leisurely strolls across philadelphia tonight. it was just too cold. here at chestnut street it was chilly and the winds kept people moving. and steve it's another cold night, but we could soon be dealing with snow as well. >> i'll walk you through that in a bit, but first let's get through the cold. we're continuing that first alert through 9:00 tomorrow morning. and the reason why, it feels like single digits outside. make sure you bundle up and dress warmly and take some breaks inside. looking at south philadelphia right now where we currently have a wind chill of 6 degrees. ouch, it hurts. 21 degrees is your actual temperature. down in wilmington single digit

wind chills, too. it's cold no matter where you go. single digit wind chills here throughout the suburbs and down through jersey. and heading out the door tomorrow i'm tracking another cold one. well, hawaii's governor is apologizing for an emergency alert mistakenly sent out to residents warning them of an incoming missile. this is what the warning looked like. a state emergency manager said an employee simply pushed the wrong button during a shift change. one of our reporters was in hawaii and he got the same alert on his phone that everyone else on the island receive. and we asked him what he did when he got the message. >> my wife is from here, and we come here over here.

two people are charged in connection with the murder of a man in burlington county. now, this is 20-year-old shane davis and 19-year-old jana coaly. police said she hit david broke yo with a shovel and then david shot and killed him. police say he got into an argument with the couple before he was killed. the couple lived in the same apartment complex. fire destroyed this three-story home in cape may county this morning. they were called around 7:30 this morning and as you can see the flames were just too intense. fortunately, no one was hurt. with the eagles win, our entire area is now thinking what if. next we're talking to fans about the week long anticipation

pandemonium on broad street tonight an the eagles first playoff win in nine years. and now the eagles are just one win away from the super bowl. that means eight more days of hype, anticipation and dreams of parade here in philadelphia.

nbc 10's andrea cline thomas is live in center city tonight. and that buzz only going to get bigger with each passing day. >> reporter: looking at some of the buildings you can literally see the pride after tonight's win. and some fans say the impact is even bigger than the game. from the fmc tower to the eagles logo scrolling along the sears center, the color green now illuminates the city skyline. what will the city be like this coming week now that we've pulled this off? >> on the precipice of insane. >> reporter: the birds managed to stun many of its own fans in its win against the falcons tonight. will you be wearing your eagles gear to work? >> absolutely under what i'm wearing. >> better than christmas. >> reporter: even with the super bowl within reach, fans remain optimistic. >> the last time they were in the super bowl was on my

there. 5 in the poconos, 21 in philadelphia, and 25 in wildwood. the breeze is pretty substantial here tonight. a big change from last saturday night. everybody was smothered and covered in snow. now basically no snow except for the snow plows in the parking lot sa lots right now. temperatures in the upper 20s, the wind chills again in the upper teens. so don't look at the car t thermometer or bank thermometer. as we work our way into monday, which is the holiday for many of you, martin luther king day, temperatures 30 to 35. if you're out and about doing some acts of service, it looks like a nice day to be outside. tuesday storm system, our

scenario number one, and this is the most likely scenario, this storm systems stays well-off shore. the coastal storm, that would take the heavier storm well-off the east coast. scenario number two not off the table just yet, this lower pressure develops close to coast, that would mean heavier snow in the delaware valley. again, stay tuned. th that forecast may change. temperatures in the 30s and then there's that warm up for the birds, next weekend 55 degrees. how about that? danny pommels with sports. steve, i love the warmer temperatures. the eagles red hot as well. they've done something none of the major teams in town have done since 2012, advance in the playoffs even while wearing the underdog tag.
