this is apart of the system that's entering our region right now. >> thank you for joining us, i am erin coleman. you can see the snow is entering our region. this was a scene a short while ago in west philadelphia street department, busy loading the salt trucks. a total of 70 pieces of equipment will be ready to treat those roads. our first alert meteorologist is tracking this winter water. we a tammie souza is looking at how much will it impact where you live. we begin with glenn schwartz. >> the timing is strange. we are waiting for the next round of snow to start in our town and they're going to get more snow than much of the rest

of our area. all of our counties are going to get more snow in the delaware and south jersey county. this is midnight to 10:00 a.m. on wednesday, slushy conditions for the morning rush especially untreated surfaces. the snow time can start in any minute. it is going to take hours before it gets to the rest of chester, montgomery and bucks and it may take until midnight to start in the philadelphia. this is the slowest system that i have ever seen. i am takes 7:00 a.m. until tomorrow to start when it is ending. look at how close it is. it will be here in a couple of hours. it is not moving in this direction. there is the snow. right over redding right now and as we go through the next several hours, we find the snow advancing, the temperatures starting to trap and that's

where it starts accumulating and tammie will tell you how much accumulation. >> you know what, it is because of those temperatures is different in every neighborhood, that's why we'll break it down for you. neighborhood by neighborhood. out here long at jersey shore, you may get a dusty tail on this thing. south jersey, less than an inch, it is when you get to the i-95 corridor and philadelphia off to the north and west, that we see it is starting to stick. lets go neighborhood guy neighborhoo and neighborhood. i am going to run it down. look at the time line, it starts as rain and changes to a mix and a little bit of snow at the end, there you go. less than an inch across all the jersey shore in south jersey, you have to get out of the i-95 corridor before you see an inch. lets go to delaware, pretty much of the same thing, where he looking at starting this rain because we are too warm, much

today we learn exactly when opening statements will begin. >> reporter: it will start on monday in allentown. a jury was selected here at the federal courthouse in philadelphia and they took all day with their goal was to get that accomplished today and they're able to do just that. mayor ed pawlowski walking into court here. he's facing with corruptions and campaigns and donations. today, 70 jurors were brought into court, they answered questions from the judge. the judge asked if any of the jurors heard or seen or read anything from this trial, nearly 30% of them said yes. twelve jurors along with six alternates were chosen again. the break down is ten men and eight women tch, the judge toldm not to discuss this case with anyone. it is expected to last six

valley. we had our first alert effect from tonight from 10:00 in the morning. is this a lot of snow for most of us? >> no. the poconos will be the big winner and they'll love it for the ski resorts. maybe they'll get six or serch inches of snow. it is going to be during the morning commute and it will start the rain and transitioning into snow and could make for a sloppy commute in some places and especially for the pennsylvania suburbs. and then, good-bye, good-bye cold, good-bye snow. we have a big week warm-up, a really nice weekend warm-up. lets take a look at our doppler radar right now. we have some light snow that's trying to make it to the ground. from redding and allentown, the darker shades of purple is what we are watching to see for consistency. right through cook town, that's where we are seeing of light snow and flurries right now. this will continue through the same area right now again and again. we'll see the highest amounts

out there because we'll see it for the longest periods out tomorrow morning. it is a narrow system. it does not have a lot of moistures associated with it. for us, again, this is not going to be a huge snow maker but it is the unfortunate timing that has us concerned. lets go hour by hour and take a look at your neighborhood. we'll be dropping through the 40s in philadelphia and look at this. 31 in allentown and 31 in redding. doyle town and polk town, you are getting that mix. at 10:00 tonight, there should be rain starting and changing at 33 at 5:00 in the morning. a light snow there and still raining in south jersey. some of the snow starts to fall if south jersey and temperatures falling below freezing but most of the moisture is jongone.

it is all about locations and locations, temperatures will fall tomorrow. we'll clear out tomorrow night and we'll start a nice rebound. we'll start a nice rebound for the end of the weekend. less than an inch of south jersey and the shore. in suburbs that's where we could see one to three inches of snow with berks county and lehigh valley picking up three to four inches of snow out there. not a great deal. this is definitely going to put a smile in your face. this week, the actual temperature for the game, we'll look at 51 verses 30 last week. we'll be looking at 51 for the windchill verses what was 17 last week. completely a different playoffs scenario and here is a look at the game. 50 at kickoff and that's at 6:40. 48 at halftime and about 10 miles an hour. 46 degrees, this is unseasonably warm and extremely nice. your ten days on ten.

this weekend, residents in kensington can pick up tool kits to help them, it contains cleaning supply and educational materials and blue lightbulbs. residence will be encouraged to install those bulbs outside the home. also, in kensington, police are looking for a man caught on surveillance video pulling out a gun and robbing a small grocery store. it happened a week ago inside the ontario mini market on east ontario street. watch as another employee tried to sneak up. the robber spotted the employee

and told him to stay away. this man armed with a knife. he robbed everyone at north fifth street last month. the surveillance video was taken after the robbery. you can see him changing clothes there. during the robbery, one witness knocked the suspect to the ground and police say he stabbed the witness in the back but that man is okay. lawmakers in delaware backing a bill that would eliminate cash bail. the senate voted in favor of the measure and now heads to the governor's desk for final aproouf approv approval. there are some who say it unfairly punishes those who don't have the money on hand to buy those freedoms. those against saying it will put more criminals back on the streets. officials from the new jersey coalition against human trafficking are expected to be

a live shot in allentown looking forward for some snow flakes and not quite there yet. the first alert is for our counties in pennsylvania. a combination of more snow there and lower temperatures creating more issues, this is midnight to 10:00 a.m. of course, it can get some slushy or snow covered roads with conditions like that. it will affect the morning commute because of the timing. so as this area of snow on the radar right now, it is going to take hours just to move 20 or 30 miles through chester much of bucks and montgomery county and close to midnight before it comes through philadelphia and the i-95 corridor. 7:00 in the morning before it reaches the shore. this one is one of the slowest moving systems we have ever seen. look at this and we are getting close so we could see it is not

moving one mile south of redding in the last hour. it is a large system, at least length wise, once it finally moves, looks like it is just about the entire area we'll see some snow. here we go through the evening, temperatures are marginal, we could see it start off as rain in the philadelphia area and pointing south. b by the morning rush, that's when it will start to accumulate and tammie will tell you how much it will accumulate. >> it is all about locations. this is with the big map. what you are looking at is where you see the white, you will get a dust to nothing, maybe it falls or melts away. you will see a lighter shade of purple moving across trenton or philadelphia and eastern part of south jersey and delaware and clipping the southern portions of pennsylvania suburbs, that's where we'll see one to two inches fall.

right here, this one could be one through three. the highest totals will be in lee high valley. that's where you see the three to six or maybe eight inches for the poconos. here you go, this is our snow cast, we are looking at rain starting off the jersey shore in south jersey. you are not going to see much of anything. maybe a little rain and here comes the quick pop of snow, it is in and out and again, a dusting to maybe a half inch. wilmington, you may see an inch. philadelphia, that's where we'll look at an inch or one or two inches. it starts to rain and a little bit of a mix. right through the morning commute, you will be done, again, just one or two inches. the big numbers, they're going to be in the lehigh valley and berks county and poconos.

it is not bitterly cold but it is cold off. lets take a look at the neighborhood to drive home the difference between who's going to see the snow right away and where we are concerned. we are concerned of the lehigh valley, 32 there right now and 43 in philadelphia, 39 in delaware and 37 in south jersey. it is 29. nassau is 30. now, lets go to suburbs, newtown, you are at 38. north whales, you are at 35. unionville at 35. temperatures that don't support kno snow. we'll see this starting the from rain. right now we have snow that's making its way to berks county and lehigh valley and you can see the dark shades of purple
