we are here in super bowl city just four days out from the eagles throwdown with the patriots. >> so what happened today? the birds held a super bowl practice at the university of minnesota for the first time since they got here to minneapolis. they are trying to stay both focused and relaxed as they brace for tom brady and bill belichick. >> and after that practice tonight, nbc 10 caught up with eagles quarterback carson wentz at the mall of america. he chatted with some eagles fans there this evening. >> and tonight we also caught up with a former eagles quarterback who led the birds to their very first super bowl ie peernappear. let's go to steven fisher for team coverage. he's live in minneapolis. ron thinks our city deserves a super bowl win this time around. we all think that. >> reporter: i agree with him. but he is not the only nfl quarterback who is pull iing fo

parking lot of lincoln high school. then someone started firing shots. you learned one possible reason for the shooting. >> police are looking into several different possibilities. one possibility includes one group being disrespected in a wrap. rap video. the school was on lock down for 90 minutes today. you can see the saucaution tape up. no students whatsoever were involved in the shooting. police tonight continue looking for that shooter. >> i think it's disgusting. adults coming to a school to a kids game with weapons. >> as officers had their guns out, students made their way out of lincoln high school tonight. a shooting outside in the parking lot forced the northeast philly school ob lock down. video showed the scene inside. officers checked it for secur y

security. they were one of many students inside at the time looking for answers. >> they were patting kids down. if you didn't is your i.d., they put you in a certain room. >> reporter: investigators tell nbc 10 about 15 men went looking for someone at basketball game going on at the time. the school ushered those adults outside, but another group of men followed them. a fight broke out with at least eight shots fired. shawn was a referee the at the game. >> they came running in telling everybody to get down and hit the desk deck. >> a man later died at hospital. richard ross said the school handled the situation the right way. getting those adults out of the building immediately. >> the way some people resort to violence over the most any stupid stuff, it's beyond comprehension. >> once again, a very important note. no students were involved in this whatsoever. police did recover a weapon, but

we have been seeing them everywhere. take a look. >> eagles cheerleaders greeted passengers at philadelphia international. rolled out the green carpet for birds fans bound for the super bowl city. we kaugt up with some of thoeds passengers after they touched down. >> the excitement coming up the last two weeks and actually going to the game, being able to take our sons to the game means the world to us. >> it wasn't all green at the airport. greeters dressed in vikings purple were there to welcome eagles fans to their city.

it feels like 1 degree. now here at home, we're a bit. warmer. we were so cold last night. it's 32 in philadelphia. 33 in atlantic city. dover at 33. mount holly at 29 degrees. over the next 12 hours, our temperature will hold steady and start to climb. so we're going to see southerly notching up into the 40s. by noon we're in the mid-40s here in philadelphia. and that's good news because after that we're going to take quite a tumble. we'll have an active weather pattern ahead of us. some rain changing to a quick burst of snow early. which is ground hog day u. they have a mix there. and super bowl sunday here in philadelphia, we're going to see snow to rain to snow. it's going to be all over the place. and it's going to make for some treacherous and bad driving conditions. right now, doppler radar is quiet. a little clipper has passed over the poconos. that's the same one that actually moved through the twin cities yesterday. and we're looking at a fairly

quiet weather pattern. now in the twin cities, we're looking at cold air. look how clear it is. behind some flurries they had. let's take a look at our hour by hour. clouds will be in place. we'll see some clouds. but look at this. e we see some rain starting to move in as early as the afternoon. moving through philadelphia. maybely in south jersey and delaware by 9:30. and then look at this. it will switch quickly to a pop of snow. we may or may not see it in philadelphia, but you will probably see it in south jersey. then it's out of here by the time you wake up and head out to work. but things get cold. look at saturday morning. you wake up in the teens with the windchill and the single digits. and then on sunday. we have a substantial storm system coming and could bring some snow. that would be at 1:00. then we get into 5:00 and see a mix in the lehigh valley. switching all over to rain by

i'm danny from nbc sports philadelphia. the eagles and patriots, super bowl lii drawing oh so close. you can feel the excitement up there. the eagles practice tr the first time this week at the university of minnesota and sang happy birthday to head coach doug pooeeter son after practice as celebrates the big 5-0. they took a break to mimic the halftime show on sunday. here's john clark with more on the special bond that this team has. >> reporter: some of the defensive players said there's genuine love on this eagles team. most of them say it's the closest team they have ever been on and it all started in the off season with some bonding and one big role. take a look. the eagles are still having fun here at the super bowl. how much fun is this team having? punter donny jones singing kenny chesney with fletcher cox, who is wearing a wrestling mask.
