pandemonium has reached a fever pitch in minneapolis ahead of the super bowl. big award. we are live on the red carpet of the nfl honors. and betting on the birds. $4 million bets have already been placed on super bow eagles. nbc 10 news starts now. ♪ right now at 6:00, we are now just a little more than 24 e super bowl. >> and everything is picking up here for sure, the hype and the snow. a check of this live picture of us bank stadium and the snow is moving out and the arctic cold is coming back into minneapolis. >> we are getting the first look at the eagles on the super bowl field. the team dressed up to take their official picture at us

two women are in critical condition tonight after the car they were in went into a lake. police were called to hamilton around 9 clok th:00 this mornin. they hit a guardrail and went across a median and right into the water. firefighters pulled the women from the car.

what a treat for hundreds of young people at the community college of philadelphia. nbc 10 hosted the 25th annual african-american children's book fair in spring garden and not only did they have a chance to pick up some great books, but also the award-winning authors and illustrators behind the books were there to meet and sign autographs. nbc 10's andrea klein thomas and brandon hudson helped host the event. coming up, a big day for these very small fans. why the super saturday was such a big day for them and how they're helping their dads make a prediction about tomorrow's super bowl. and the super bowl soccer on the way for our sunday. i'm tracking a storm system that will bring us heavy rain just in time for game time. will it be over by the time the game is over? i'll let you know coming up in the ten-day forecast next.

all of the layers and dress for a mid-winter evening. the temperature is feeling like 20 degrees right now in philadelphia and let's find out what's going on in minneapolis right now. it feels like zero and this is going to seem balmy because tonight it will drop to 20 degrees below zero in terms of the feels like temperature and that's what it is for international falls and game time tomorrow and at the dome and it will be 70 degrees and outside the dome it will not be. if y do know friends and faly tha there. this is serious to dangerous cold and make sure they have all of the layers out there. minneapolis has many skyways and you can usually navigate through the city through the skyways and try to avoid being out in the cold. cold weather overnight tonight, and the main concern in our area will be this icy mix you are well north and west tomorrow morning and that includes the lehigh vallet and poconos and montgomery, bucks and chester county and it will start, and i don't see any problems there and a steady rain for all by

tomorrow evening and even in the lehigh valley where the mixed precipitation will change over to rain. 27 in blue bell and 21 in the poconos and overnight lows will be cold again and temperatures in the 20s and let's get right to the storm system and we're quiet for now and you don't have worry about storm or ice during the overnight hours and that's coming at us here by tomorrow morning and that's the concern for snow and sleet, part two is the heavy soaking rain tomorrow night and tomorrow mor much happening out there and see the green showing u across the delaware and that's the first vestiges of the storm and that will pump up into a steadier rain tomorrow afternoon and philadelphia, your rain and burks county and lehigh valley and you can have ice and snow and be aware, there could be slippery travel before it turns into a wind swept, heavy, soaking rain right at super bowl time and the latest indications
