nfl as a player and as a coach. and they have three sons. two are off to college. they came home this weekend. here rather, not home. they came here for the super bowl. >> she said pause their colleges wouldn't let them leave early. they had classes to attend. they just got in yesterday. doug's mother is a widow. his mother terry a widow a couple of years ago. when doug got the job here in 2016 his father gordie died that year. it was amazing experience for him to have his mother in her mid to late 70s. just having his family around. we got a chance to visit with her yesterday a little bit. right after the game, jeannie

did you think it would take this long? >> i had no idea, but i knew he would win a championship. >> we'll see you back in philadelphia for the parade. >> yeah. >> yeah, there it is. so much excitement. this happened just of the trophy ceremony. they were coming off the podiumment they were the first to be there as they were walking off. i waved them over. we developed this relationship being here and being around the team. he bought the team in 1994. he's from the boston area. you know, he's been around boston and the dynasty he recognized. all of his family and friends. he's a big red sox fan. i know he goes in for games. i don't think he's got season tickets to the patriots but he has them to the red sox. he likes to take groups of players, by the way.

the whole because eagles fans came by and righted every single one of these. that is the sentiment we are seei seeing. they have been hard at work tonight. they are making their way down side streets. there was quite a bit of trash on this street as well. they want to try to get as many as they can cleaned up for the morning commute. eagles fans came up, realized the people were jerks, and took a hand at cleaning some of that up. that is the spirit we have seen throughout the whole city. there's been so much joy, so much fun. a great little restaurant where

we were at, they served a late night dinner at 2:00 this morning. so many people wanting to help each other out. we have been loving it out here for the most part. >> that guy is so pumped up. i'm sure his neighbors don't mind. it's 4:00 in the morning. >> not don't. >> we'll send it back to you guys. >> drew, before you two, you have been talking to fans, business owners. any opportunity to talk to the police who were out there? any chance to chat with them, get a sense of how their day as a whole looked and what they're planning for as we continue this week in terms of celebration? >> we left the area where we were watching the football game. we were on broad street.

we were watching tv right through a window. and the police were some of the happiest people out there, jumping up and down. they were just like everybody else. they were working hard for hours trying to make sure people were celebrating safely and that nobody was in danger throughout this night. they were trying to get people to go home and go to sleep towards the end. but they were out there celebrating as well. yeah. it was a lot of work up and down broad street. they were effective at that they did. they had a game plan. they made it happen tonight. >> it's a good point to mention something drew said. the majority of the eagles fans did not knock things over, did not break things. the spirit we saw from the fans who came and helped to pick things up. >> you and i are both philly area natives. i grew up right outside the city.

you grew up in the city. >> inner-city. >> just celebrating, having a good time. >> just like these guys. >> skyforce 10 of center city, over city hall really at the height of the celebrations. and it's interesting because i was watching our coverage just after the game, as we switched over to cozy. you got a little bit of a trickle. then it was the flood from north philly, the flood from south philly. >> this is where people wanted to be. they came from all over the city to be there. to see how many people there are for this celebration. mostly under control. >> it is is symbolic. this is why people flooded broad street around city hall. it is where we see our democracy work inside city hall. here we go with our fans celebrating.
