live from south korea two days out from the wimp olympic. snow, sleet and freezing rain slamming into our area in just a few hours. could bring big trouble. good evening, i am jacqueline london. we have issued a first alert starting at 4:00 a.m. tomorrow. if you are in the lehigh valley. calm before the storm. come tomorrow morning, those roads will be slushy and slippery. these are our live cameras showing i-95, the ben franklin bridge.

let's bring in tammie souza to time this storm for us. >> we have the first alert that has been issued. this is two part. looking at the upper pennsylvania suburbs in lehigh valley. we will see sleet mixing in and we could see freezing rain which could make it treacherous. for philadelphia, the rest of the pennsylvania suburbs and northern delaware, we are going to see light snow, sleet and freezing rain. not a lot of accumulations but we will see a lot of icy roads and wet walkways. we are looking at cloud coverage starting to make our way towards our area. just starting to see the beginning edges of the snow making its way into ohio. you can see all of the moisture and energy to the south and

soon. bringing you live team parade coverage. then we will begin with denise nakano along the ben franklin parkway. navigating will not be easy. >> reporter: as the stage is getting set, people out here and beyond facing the challenge of getting in and out of the city. hottest ticket in town is the rail passes. ticket grab is on. for regional rail passes to get to thursday's parade. >> this is it. this is it. >> going to be insane. >> reporter: a parade expected to dwarf the 1 million philly fans. >> drawing people from all over the area. >> crowds will be so crazy. >> reporter: race is long and lines are long for daily passes that are selling out fast.

only a total of 50,000 regional rail passes are available for thursday. >> i got one for me, and mary -- >> reporter: people scrambling where ticket counters sold out for their allotment for the day. >> if i didn't check that doylestown facebook page, i wouldn't have known they had sold out. >> reporter: people driving in for the parade can enjoy free meters but good look in find a parking lot. no parking on parade route or adjacent streets. >> no driving. >> reporter: we have seen people standing by the stage it says super bowl champions and taking pictures.

the world is ready to compete in the winter olympics games starting two days from now. you can see all the action here on your home for the games nbc 10. we sent keith jones, a 7,000-mile trip and tonight he is 14 hours ahead of us. joining us live at the olympic park. hi, keith. >> reporter: it is 1:00 in the afternoon on a wednesday, believe it or not. we are at one of two sites. this is olympic park. i want to show you around just a

little bit. super store that just opened today. olympic mascots in the front. workers wearing red. a lot of security out. a lot of the workers front and center right here. just behind them, they are selling cars here. to the right of that, selling electronics. showing you one of the areas that hockey. 90 miles from a capital named seoul there, is heart. that is when pyeongchang will soon watch a record number of events and new sports including snowboarding big air, crazy 14 story jump and speed skating starts mayhem on ice.

dry right now. snow, sleet, and freezing rain are headed our way. first alert radar showing a storm heading in. tammie souza with everything you need to know. >> pack your patience. you may have a long ride in some places. the doppler radar is quiet. now the clouds are starting to drift in. we had clouds for much of the day. now here come the clouds once again. along with the rainmaking its way in parts of virginia and even west virginia. and snow in ohio. system is wrapping around the northern end of it. and you can see the moisture coming in on the southern end of it. from the gulf of mexico. in between, freezing rain. we could see mixing and freezing rain as well. stretching well back into the

missouri valley. and you can see here in pennsylvania we have a combination of pink warnings and purple watches. this is what you can expect. if you see where you have the pink up into the poconos, 6-8 inches of snow. this lavender shade, includes the rest of the suburbs, philadelphia. freezing rain and sleet could make it slippery and icy on the roadways. temperatures below freezing. winds are out of the north. now, what we are going to watch tomorrow morning is about 4:30 or so, we will see the first of the precipitation crosses delaware and south jersey. by 7:00, across much of

philadelphia and south jersey. we have rain along the jersey shore. you are not in these warnings because you will be too warm and see rain. by 9:30, see freezing rain and a mix. still snow ongoing in the lehigh valley and the poconos. look at these temperatures rising. philadelphia up near 50 degrees at one point in the afternoon. rain crosses the entire area. could end as thunderstorms during the dinner hour and temperatures fall, but the sky is clear. it will be breezy and cold for that parade on thursday but it will be dry. and that's the most important thing. 29 at 11:00, when the parade kicks off. 31 at 1:00, and 34 at the end of the parade. the wind chill in the 20s. we will see sunshine but you need to bundle up.
