on the roofs but also on the sidewalks. so anything that is left like that, that is slushy, will freeze during the night tonight and be icy tomorrow morning. the other end of our area, rehoboth beach. just starting to get the rain. so they'll be the last ones to see it end. it's already pretty much over in berks county, chester county, western portion of montgomery county. the lehigh valley. now we just have a few areas of light snow up in the poconos. that's the last of the precipitation for them but still getting the last of it coming through philadelphia. you can see the end of it coming from east to west. you're seeing this whole giant area headed right down to the delaware beaches and cape may county. it's a few hours more of rain for them. but the drier air is moving in and it will be here during the day tomorrow.

is live in upper darby. you've been looking at how to get to the parade and how to get out when it's over. we'll have a lot of people headed to the same place at the very same time. >> reporter: that's true. so you'll have to pack your patience tomorrow. tens of thousands of people will be using some kind of public transit to get to the parade. here in upper darby, the metered parking is going to be free tomorrow. that's only if you find a spot. >> you'll have to plan your parade venture just like you'd plan a trip. it's going to be an all-day rush hour. >> reporter: to get to the parade, patience and planning are key. if you have an independence regional day pass, no, it's first come, first serve. be early. >> there's like a train at 6:21. you have to be here at like 4:30 or 5:00. >> if not try the market, frankfurt or broad street lines. they'll be packed but run more freque frequently, carry more people and they're free. with road closures in the city,

ride sharing can only get you so close to the route. no parking at the sports complex or fdr park. limited parking inside the city so driving yourself could be frustrating. >> you've ever thought about using your bike to commute into the city, thursday is the day to do it because you dont know what it's going to be like. >> and they are done selling any passes to get into the city. same thing with the atlantic city rail line. those two options if you didn't already get a pass, they're not an option. we have a lot more information on our website. i'm miguel martinez-valle. >> another look at a wet street. rain has been falling here all day. meteorologist steve sosna has more on that. >> you were just in minnesota so you how to dress for it. but for our philadelphian, we need to take into consideration the amount of time you'll be out in that cold.

here are the windchills off to the west. feels like 11 in pittsburgh. 14 in columbus. this air is making a bee line right towards us. we're having the largest outdoor event in philadelphia going on here tomorrow. the wind speeds here tonight will be great. when you head out to the train station tomorrow or are waiting for the bus or just walking in center city, wind gusts of 20 miles per hour, you have to remember, the temperature is going to be in the middle 20s. it's going to feel like the teens. so just a little bit of wind is insult to injury in this kind of situation. and then eventually see the winds start to relax. let's break down the forecast for you. many of you will be getting out there before 11:00 a.m. temperature in the mid-20s. windchills stay steady here. upper teens to low 20s. you'll need the layers tomorrow. this is my survival guide here to being outdoors for this

length of time with so many people. find the sunny side of the street. get there early. wear at least five to seven layers. reduce your alcohol intake. a lot of people will be having fun out there tomorrow but in this type of cold, alcohol can be detriment to your body. hydrate with water. and also find a wind sheltered area. maybe take some of those smaller bottles of water with you. an extra battery charger for your cell phones because your phones do die quicker in the cold. coming up at 6:18, glenn will take a look at another storm we're tracking for the weekend. that will be much different than today's storm. >> all right, steve. tomorrow the ben franklin parkway will be packed with eagles fans. more than 1 million people, possibly two million people are expected at tomorrow's parade. metal gates are already up on south broad street to help control the crowds. they're coordinating efforts to keep people safe. ladder five is one of the fire stations kids will be taken to

we were at philadelphia international airport where the philly faithful touched down for the celebration. most fans tell us the excitement that came with sunday's win has not let down. >> played the "rocky" soundtrack ten times over. went into work. saw they announced the parade. didn't think twice. got my tickets and i don't think my boss will ever forgive me. >> i made a promise i'd come back for the parade if they ever won. this is a dream come true. >> many of the out-of-town eagles fans are making a weekend of the trip and sticking around the city to take in the sites. businesses are cashing in on the birds super bowl win. among them say montgomery county sign shop flooded with orders. deanna durante has that story all new at 6:00. >> it's a commercial sign business here in montgomery county but it's also run by eagles fans which is opening up a whole new line of work. >> not something typically we make a lot of money on. >> reporter: c.j. says he didn't do it to get rich.

freezing mark like lehigh valley. good thing the rain is moving out but there's still moisture on the roads. you can see this band of rain. it's just about to end in philadelphia here. and once that moves out, that is the end of it. it's not like it's going to change to snow or anything and delaware and south jersey still have a few more hours to deal with this. also the temperatures. they will be going down. the rain is at the shore where the temperatures are above freezing. but anything -- any standing water is going to freeze. some slush is going to freeze in parts of the suburbs that had that earlier today. of course, there were big differences in weather conditions across the area today. just like we had expected. it's 56 in rehoboth beach. 35 in allentown. but the colder air is going even to rehoboth beach, and it's going to be a cold morning and a cold day tomorrow.

already getting down near the freezing point in berks county, lehigh valley. these areas probably have the most travel problems in the morning. your driveway, sidewalks, going to be pretty icy. it's 32 in fleetwood right now. mert mertztown 33. 35 bethlehem, nazareth and eastham. they'll be down below freezing before too long. friday we've got clouds moving in. although it should stay dry. not quite as cold as tomorrow. and then the moisture starts coming in on saturday. that's mostly in the afternoon. starting on the lighter side. then saturday night it's getting heavier. widespread rain all over the area. and sunday, there's more rain. it's going to be a wet weekend. it's going to be a rather mild weekend. nobody is going to be getting snow. so there's your tradeoff. friday is dry but kind of

cloudy. saturday is on the milder side but rain mostly in the afternoon. and saturday night and sunday. steady rain. temperatures way above average for this time of the year. close to 10 degrees above average. but tomorrow is close to 10 degrees below average. plus a little wind on top of that. but at least it's sunny. here comes a pretty wet pattern that we're seeing here. the weekend near 50 both days. rain both days. then maybe a one-day break and then more rain coming and it may be wet for valentine's day, too. but at least it's not going to be super cold and you don't see any day in those ten days near as cold as tomorrow's parade is going to be. cold or not, they will be out there, glenn. i'm danny pommells from nbc sports philadelphia. the eagles excited about tomorrow's parade. we go behind the scenes of the
