who is apologizing to the eagles fans for stealing their parade view. . >> let the olympics begin. tonight south korea opewith the open ceremony. good evening, i am nordenise nakano. let's take a live look at that flame burning in pyeongchang, joe south korea right now. we sent nbc 10's keith jones to south korea to cover all of the olympic action for you. he joins us tonight from the olympic village tonight. >> reporter: today it is 1:00 in

the afternoon in south korea. the opening ceremony was last night, but the energy out here was electric. that is called the oval. that is for figure skating events and some of the speed skating events will take place. if you zoom on out, you will see two big businesses. samsung so the right and to the left is the hockey center. this is where the u.s. team will take on russia. while the opening ceremony took place right now, this place is clearly still buzzing. the show began in the sky at the pyeongchang, south korea welcoming the world with a spectacular display. down on the floor a mixture of high-tech drummers and dancers. in the vip a scene of historic

diplomacy. u.s. vice president mike pence sat one row away but didn't interact with the north koreans. the stars and stripes led the largest olympic delegation ever. you can spot local athletes. athletes from russia wore grey and white this year. the official team barred for doping violations. tongas athlete marched shirtless again. north and south korea marching together. the lighting of the olympic

now. the city is taking a look back at how smooth it went. problems were minor and police made two arrests and handed out five citations. the most serious incident was a stabbing that stemmed from a fight. and the victim is going to be okay. >> still had knuckle heads, but i would still give it an a. >> minor hiccups here and there, but in general, well done. >> the price tag is estimated between two-and $3 million. nbc 10's brandon hudson joins us. and fans were beyond frustrated.

>> reporter: fans waited their entire life to see the eagles parade. they waited in the cold. three buses blocked their view. a moment hundreds of eagles fans will never forget for all the wrong reasons. fans who waited five hours. and they missed it. >> they pull up and block the view of everyone. >> reporter: cell phone video showing three buses driving up and parking blocking their view of players, coaches and the lombardi trophy. at one point you hear fans chanting move the bus. >> we thought eventually that they would get out of the way

but it just sat there. >> reporter: the family can joke about the moment now but said they were a bit disappointed at the time. >> i remember seeing zach ertz for sure. >> it was like the moment passed us by. although it was exciting just being a part of t we feel like we were a part of history. >> reporter: philadelphia police used the buses to transport officers. >> i assure you it was not the intent of philly pd to obstruct the view of anybody. >> reporter: the buses only blocked the view of that particular crowd. police said they were aware of the problem and they will make sure that it doesn't happen again if the eagles have a parade next year.
