tonight. no-fight club. a local school paying children to not hit and punch each other. and for the love of luge, a local olympician competing for the race of her life right now tells us she stumbled into the sport by accident. >> announcer: nbc 10 news starts now. we begin with the search for three robbers who abducted a man and doused him with gasoline and set his car on fire. this video shows the flames. thanks for joining us to want, i am jim rosenfield. nbc 10's denise nakano joining us now where she is learning more about the victim. you spoke with his coworkers, what did they tell you? >> reporter: described him as a compassionate man. he is the one who needs help now

as he recovers from second and third degree burns. a chard 2006 pontiacs in flames. zip ties used to detain the victim. this man was among several neighbors who jumped in to help. >> i was trying to think anything that could put the fire out. >> reporter: the 34-year-old victim was car jacked sunday night. he had just wrapped up his night shift at a group home for people with intellectual disabilities. the victim came into his pizza take out hours before the
