whoi you koultd become the next victim. all hail the king. philly's push to bring lebron to the sixers. how just his presence could bring a big bonus to our entire city. we begin with this exclusive. a violent encounter with police caught on this brand new video. man says it shows an officer knocking him down and repeatedly punching him in the head. thanks for joining us. >> three police officers are on desk duty and the prosecutor's office is investigating. >> nbc 10 is joining us live in camden tonight. you talked to the alleged victim. what is his story? >> reporter: that 32-year-old father claims he did absolutely thog wrong. he hopes the video that we have

proves it. he was wearing a body camera and we're told it was working. >> the one cop grabbed my one arm and he's just punching me. i'm trying to block with this arm. >> reporter: he's still recovering from his encounter with police last thursday. in video we obtained the officer wrestled the 32-year-old father to the ground oud outside of a store. the officer appears to punch him in the back of his head more than ten times while lying on his stomach. >> that's what i call it, hatred. i did nothing wrong to them. i didn't resist. i didn't do nothing. >> reporter: camden county spokesman says there was a tip called to officers about someone with a gun at that location. when they arrived he matched the exact description and so did a car there. three officers have been taken

off the streets and will stay on desk duty until the investigation is over. >> the video is highly disturbing. we have serious concerns with it. >> reporter: you can see the officer knock off the hat of another officer while violently swinging his arm. he wants that officer to get help. >> he need more social skills or more training. >> reporter: that 32-year-old father did receive two citations. one for resisting arrest, another for obstruction. the prosecutor does have the case right now. police say they are waiting for this process to play out. an innocent bystander is shot when a gunman walks up to two men and start firing.

this video shows the gunman walk up and shoot one in the arm and the other in the head. one victim falls to the ground. the other runs away as the gunman keeps firing. a stray bullet struck a woman a block away. one of the men is in critical condition. the other are stable at the hospital. police are still looking for the shooter. part of boulevard is closed because of a serious crash. you see it here. three people are hurt after the accident near rising sun avenue. police were called to this home today after the officer didn't show up to her shift. the man's body was also found inside. tlp were no obvious signs of trauma. we spoke to several neighbors who were shocked something like this happens on their street. >> it's just awful.

it's terrible to hear anyone going. >> i want to know what happened. we don't usually have too much stuff going on around here. it's a bit after a shock. >> the victims identities have not been released. florida gun makers are booed for not making enough changes in the wake of the high school massacre. people started yelling shame after florida senate rules committee failed to pass an amendment to ban assault weapons. that committee did vote to raise the age limit to buy a rifle to 21 an create a three-day waiting period to buy those guns. president trump will meet with lawmakers later this week about how to stop gun violence. he would have charged into the

and brought him a petition signed by 500 students. >> i hope you hear our voice. >> reporter: it requests a popular history teacher be reinstated after he was suspended speaking to his students about safety concerns. >> i thought something need to be done in support of my history teacher. this man is just meant too much to me for me to sit down and watch this injustice happen. >> reporter: students tried to speak up during a peaceful protest in the school auditorium today. >> he does mean something to us and we need him. >> reporter: that's when the principal threatened with suspension or the can secelling prom and the senior trip. >> this is something that is on their minds every day and they are told that they're going to be suspended if they voice concern and support. >> reporter: parents say they want better school security and will support their sons and daughters who spend to take stand. >> they decide to walk out tomorrow as they did today, i support them. they get suspended, i support

them. >> reporter: the superintendent listened to concerns for more than two hours. he's asking students take it inside in the gym. tonight donzs of colleges are telling perspective students that rallying against gun violence will not hurt their chances of getting in. peaceful protesting will not keep them from being accepted. 15-year-old student caught with a loaded gun at a philadelphia school is facing charges tonight. police found the gun in a backpack this morning when the student tried to pass through a metal detector. the school was briefly placed on lockdown. the student confessed to stealing the gun. we're following some breaking news in delaware county where about 50 passengers are trapped on this amtrak train

after a high voltage wire fell on top of it. crews are working on shutting down the power so they can get the passengers off safely. new at 11:00, a traffic stop helped bust a dog fighting ring in chester county. six pit bulls and four rabbits were seized last week from dwayne molinas home. state police zersearched it aft finding a dog with injuries. they found dog treadmills, medical equipment and a loaded gun inside the home. vets at the spca say they are treating the animals for dehydration and other medical issues. >> these particular animals could be with us up to a year. they are considered evidence in the case. we'll be taking great care of them here pu it's going to be a lot of work. >> the spca hopes to put the dogs up for adoption after the court case has been decided.

the supreme court dealt a blow to the trump administration. it's a decision that has young immigrants breathing a sigh of relief. daca allows undocumented immigrants to go to school or work without fear of deportation. about 700,000 people are currently enrolled. the trump administration wanted to end that program by march 5th but the deadline is largely meaningless at this point. could lebron james be coming to the 76ers? that's what every philadelphia fan is dreaming about right now. a push to get the king to fill li started trending everywhere today. a company from our area put up three billboards in cleveland to entice lebron to leave ohio. brandon, that could be lebron's new home.

nightmare. this woman thought he was doing a harmless vacation for man she met on a tropical get away. she said she was duped into smuggling cocaine. >> you didn't notice any red flags? >> did not. >> she insists you can become an unsuspecting victim. we see how stories like hers happen much more often than you think. in 2016 she was arrested after arriving at the airport with half a million dollars of cocaine in her bag. she spent nearly four months in jail. >> that was the first time i had been forcibly away from my children. >> reporter: white told us she was was the victim of a weekend fling gone wrong and her jamaican love interest asked her to bring back what he called care package of cocoa an spices

drug scented decoy the afternoon we were watching. the art of this changing work happens here on the baggage floor where supervisor jeffrey adams says uniformed officers get support from others working undercover and from cameras over head. >> what are they looking for out here? >> they're looking for somebody that doesn't want to speak to them. >> reporter: the officers pay attention to mannerism, eye contact and the practice confidence of one trying too hard to look calm. it's those folks who get pulled in for deeping screening or even the small talk helps separate the innocent traveler from someone with drugs hidden in lugga luggage, clothing or in pods like these inside their own body. >> smugglers always adjust. they're business is to stay one step ahead of us and our business is to keep up with them. >> reporter: for white, this video of her airport interrogation was critical to proving that she was duped.

early in the morning we could see showers in southern delaware. we have a huge storm system that will form in the southern plains. it's going to come out of texas and mexico. it's going to bring rain across the area. the center will be right offshore and it's going to strengthen and deepen. all of this is problematic. woo we'll sigh high winds. temperatures will be in the 50s on thursday. by friday we could see a wintry mix. then it's gone by friday night and we clear out.
