than yesterday, too. look at new jersey and the lehigh valley in the low 40s right now and 39 degrees in delaware. no sign of any cold air to start with. and with sunshine we'll see the temperatures climb to near 60 degrees in the suburbs, and right up to 60 degrees for new jersey. a little bit cooler at the shore, but still a nice day with partly sunny skies. and you'll see partly sunny skies in the lehigh valley and delaware, too. i'll walk you through the day hour by hour, and break it down for each part of our area when i'm back in ten minutes. but first let's see how the roads are looking on this last day of february. jessica boyington with an update. we're starting with the schuylkill expressway the only place we have any major construction and it's even that big. you can see cones still on theode. gon, this is the westbound side here and we're just losing a lane moving towards center city. other than that it's good to go. it'll be there probably until about 5:00. remember that old city fire

caused a closure. we're also watching 422. the eastbound drive times are looking good so far from the 29 to the schuylkill expressway. and speeds there into the mid-50s with a nine minute trip there. vai and tracy. now to our breaking news we're following for you. a standoff in a burlington county neighborhood ends with one person dead and another hurt. matt, a lot of things have happened in just the last half-hour. walk us through. >> reporter: a little while ago we moved a bit closer to where this shooting and barricade situation happened overnight. just behind me you can see more police vehicles at the scene and the crime tape is still up because there is still that investigation unfolding here on the 200 block of roosevelt avenue on edge water park. we are still working to get more information at the scene, but over there you can see the house where this all happened. burlington county dispatch is telling us at this point what

they know is one person in the house died from self-inflicted gunshot and another person taken to cooper trauma but no word on that person's condition just yet. neighbors themselves wonder what happened around here. there will of course be a question as to what the motive was for this shooting. we're working to find out more details at the scene, but the perimeter was just shortened around the scene indicating police do feel there's less of a threat to the surrounding area. investigators at that house taking pictures and going around with flash lights. as we get more information we're going to bring it to you. matt delucia, nbc 10 news. new this morning in west philadelphia someone shot and killed a man right in front of his gif and that killer remains on the loose. the witness told police the victim was getting out of a car when two men approached around 8:30 last night. one of them whipped out a gun and started shooting hitting the

26-year-old in his chest and torso. police raced the victim to the hospital where he died. investigators uncovered a weapon from the scene but are still looking for the gunman. and camden's mayor is now weighing in on video that showed of an encounter. >> he calls the video disturbing and troublesome. but the mayor believes this is an isolated incident and urges the city to have faith in its police officers. last thursday police responded to a store on callings road for a report of someone with a gun. the officer appears to punch him nearly a dozen times while he's on the ground. >> i don't expect the individual if he's brought up with charges he will be here, and it'll send a message to any other officer that's currently on the force that we're not playing. >> three officers are now on paid administrative leave. the camden county prosecutor is now investigating.

new jersey's attorney general wants more transparency when it comes to police involved shooting. announcing a new directive that calls for the release of body cam or dash cam videos within 20 days of officers using deadly force. agencies can with hold the video past the deadline but they're required to have a reason. the body of reverend billy graham will arrive in washington, d.c. today where he will lie in honor at the u.s. capitol. >> graham will remain there tomorrow. out of respect the house of representatives will suspend its vote. house speaker paul ryan said the request was made by president trump shortly after graham passed. >> if there's any american whose life and work deserve tuesday be honored by laying in the u.s. capitol is billy graham. so it's an honor for us here in the capitol to receive reverend graham's casket and to greet his

construction should clear by 5:00 or so. so another 20 minutes or so with that. for the most part no delays. when they start to remove that that's where you might see some of the lays. and here with the bridges, we're clear across the board. no scheduled openings right now. like i said i'll have updates for you on that. we'll have updates for our area and new jersey when i come back. good morning, i'm meteorologist bill henley. a mild start this morning. 39 degrees right now in philadelphia. we've got a warm day ahead. look at the temperatures climbing through the 40s and into the 50s by 10:00 this morning. and then this afternoon near 60 degrees in philadelphia. i think it makes it into the low 60s today. a similar warmup. 50s by lunchtime. 55 degrees by 2:00 in the afternoon.

a cold spot is the lehigh valley. 32 degrees with very light wind, dry air and clear skies. the temperatures have come down a little bit more in allentown than the rest of the area. but a nice warmup. 54 degrees. that's at lunchtime. look at those temperatures. upper 50s to near 60 degrees this afternoon. new jersey about 33 degrees. once the sun is up the temperatures will start climbing immediately. 8:00, 42 degrees. and near 60 degrees at 2:00 this afternoon. the same southwesterly winds will bring us into the 50s at had shore by lunchtime. and it'll stay in the low 50s this afternoon. the winds will be a little bit stronger for today at the sher. we've got more wind to which for the coming days especially for the shore. for delaware we'll see some sunshine. once the sun is up, upper 40s by late morning and into the middle 50s by noon and into the upper 50s this afternoon. those same southwesterly winds.

been similar break-ins in other parts of new castle county recently. >> and professors at lehigh university wants to take back the president's degree. the faculty said in a motion that the president has exhibited behavior that does not meet lehigh's values. and yesterday the governor signed an executive order to create the jobs and economic opportunity council. the panel will make recommendations how to boost job growth and development in the garden state. and students at the lehigh valley's parkland high school are showing support of the victims of the school massacre in parkland, florida. >> they are selling these parkland for parkland bracelets to raise money for the families of the shooting victims. carl duffman and his sister

with winds out of the southwest we're in for a pretty good warmup. even warmer than yesterday. lehigh valley at 32 degrees. low 40s in the suburbs. delaware right near 40 degrees, and in south jersey most of the temperatures above freezing. upper 30s inputsman, mount laurel 37, but plenty of spots in the 40s. turnersville to start with. not bad at all for the final day of february. we have brilliant sunshine yesterday. it's not going to be that clear today. but you won't need your rain gear today. that's on track, though, for tomorrow. after a dry start tomorrow morning this rain is going to be moving in just in time for the afternoon. you can see today will be nice and clear. 11:00 tonight no sign of really any clouds. but they will be increasing first thing tomorrow at 7:30. watch how that moves in by lunchtime noon tomorrow. rainfall in delaware and just

let's check route 1 for you. >> yeah, it looks like a good time to leave the house, jessica boyington. anytime usually before 5:00 is a good time to leave the house. not too bad right now. this looks like the southbound side is good. more traffic moving towards the schuylkill, but we're not seeing any delays right now. of course the roosevelt boulevard looks good. route 202 still looks great. both directions a 10 minute trip there to the schuylkill with speeds up in the 60s. a bit of delay because they're removing it right now on the westbound side along south street. so they have these vehicles in place where the lane restriction is picking up cones and all that traffic is stuck behind it. a bit of delay moving through center city. so right by 5:00 and if you're heading out the door in the next couple of minutes you'll probably just miss this. take a look at this scene. this is the scene that greeted two russian astronauts and
