300 mile away. the 300 million gallons of waste was accidentally released by contractors cleaning the mine for the epa. there are about 500,000 abandoned mines in the u.s. the epa estimates it would cost between $20 billion and $54 billion to clean them. and that's not including coal mines. this morning the chinese government said it will launch a nationwide inspection of dangerous chemicals following two huge explosions at a warehouse facility. the cause of wednesday's blast remains under investigation. at least 50 people were killed, and about 700 others were injured. one survivor was pulled from the debris this morning. hillary clinton begins a two-day campaign swing in iowa today. overnight, she picked up a key endorsement in the early voting state. former senator tom harkin threw his support behind clinton. in an op-ed in "the des moines register," harkin says clinton

has a record of getting things done. clinton's e-mail controversy won't go away. now two of her key aides may be facing questioning. >> reporter: two of hillary clinton's top aides say they won't delete any of their work-related documents or emails. lawyer for huma abidin and cheryl mills say the pledge comes after an order last week from a federal judge that they preserve their records. on wednesday, the fbi took possession of clinton's private e-mail server. it's trying to determine whether the former secretary of state's personal e-mail account could have been compromised. >> i am confident that i never sent nor received any information that was classified at the time it was sent and received. >> reporter: a lawyer for platte river network, the i.t. company that manages the clintons' e-mail system, said the server of moved to its new jersey facility when the clintons upgraded their system after clinton left the state department. lawyers said the old server is now blank and likely does not contain usable information.

accident. a dramatic fire rescue as a truck driver was running across the new jersey turnpike with his pants on fire. tourist from australia stopped their car wednesday and helped him remove his pants and put out the fire. his truck had collided with a tractor-trailer. the driver is hospitalized in serious condition. and a man was killed by a roller coaster in ohio. police say 45-year-old james young had just finished riding th raptor thursday at cedar point amusement park in sandusky. he jumped over a fence into a restricted area to find his cell phone which he had dropped. young was struck and killed by the ride. there were no other injuries.

the colorado state court of appeals ruled against a denver baker in a dispute over a wedding cake. jack phillips refused to bake the cake for a same-sex couple. the court says phillips is free to believe what he wants, but that under the state's anti-discrimination law, if he wants his business open to the public, he is prohibited from refusing customers based on their sexual orientation. >> the ruling is wrong. the constitution guarantees me the right to practice my faith, my religion anywhere, any time. >> holding one's sincere religious beliefs does not allow them to use them to exclude other people from public life. >> lawyers for the baker plan to appeal the decision to the state supreme court. and a worker at a target store in arkansas was bitten by a customer's monkey. store officials used social media to track down the owner of
