morning on i-95. >> it happened at 1:00 this morning near corner street and east chester. two box trucks and a van. seven people were rushed to the hospital and four people were ejected from the van but they are in stable condition. they are expected to be okay. one of the drivers was taken into custody for not having a valid license. no word on what caused that crash. new information, the city's health department is investigating at least three cases of the mumps. anyone who has been sick, stay home. the mumps is caused by a virus and is contagious. there were 120 cases of the mumps city wide last year. police in queens say the men in this sketch attacked a woman with acid like chemicals. the victim was getting into the car on wednesday. that is when the suspect called to her from behind.

when she turned around she was splashed it face with a hazardous substance. she was treated for third degree burns. >> >> a man is recovering after getting left battered and tied up during a home invasion. he says a masked gunman came into his home through an upstairs window. he said the gunman let two accomplices in through the front door and began beating him and asking for money. >> he started punching and hit me once with the gun and punched me on this side. what do i do? i'm a 76-year-old man. he is about 30 maybe. >> the robbers left him tied up after making off with his wallet, $25 in cash, a television and other items. he was able to free himself and flag down some sanitation workers on the road who came to his aid. he has a black yoi and fractured nose. he will now install security bars on all his windows.

was killed on duty in soho friday. around 5:00 p.m., the 68-year- old kevin downing walked into the building and shot him before taking his own life. he usually left work at 4:00 p.m. but agreed to work over time yesterday. >> he was an incredibly hard worker, very good at keeping the building safe and he gave his life for it. his life was taken needlessly. >> three guns were found near his body. detectives were seen removing evidence this morning. recently he was a real estate agent after being fired from statistics. downing appeared he was fired in retaliation after blowing the whistle of alleged corruption and waste. he wrote a letter saying there was evidence indicating the firing was inappropriate. after the shooting, congressman told reporters his live in

an effort to get money. drivers wonder if it is a scam. >> reporter: when he got this letter demanding $58 for unpaid port authority tolls he was skep dal. you? >> not at all. anybody could have sent it out. >> reporter: he is not alone. dozens of people have posted on a facebook page about getting it is a scam. >> if i received one of those letters, i definitely would have thought it was a scam especially in this day and age. there are so many of them going on. >> reporter: facebook page moderator says an ez-pass scam made the news this week. official looking e-mails trying to trick you into downloading a virus. he is a retired cop so he did some detective work. >> it is not really a scam. >> reporter: the indeed for payment alliance one of washington state is legitimate. >> the port authority hired them earlier this year to try to collect millions of the

dollars from thousands of people. >> the letters do not specify when and where the toll violations took place which may add to confusion and doubt but any letter with this phone number 1(866)897-5349 is a legitimate attempt to collect. count full drivers should call for more information. and speaking of the port authority, an alert. the lower level eastbound lanes heading into the city will close overnight. the lanes will close from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. during the week and from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on saturday. the port authority says workers will remove construction platforms used for work on the upper level. a truck driver's mistake caught on camera. the wild video is next. >> why walking like an egypt when you can walk like this new york kerr.
