virginia killed during a live interview. a photo shows the suspect holding a gun used in the murders. he was a former reporter at the same station. >> the station tweeted this message in memory of the victims. we love you, allison and adam. cbs 2 has this report. >> reporter: viewers were watching as wdbj 7 morning reporter allison parker was interviewing a member of the chamber of commerce at 6:45 this morning and then suddenly several gun shots were freezing the video, but next the camera falls and then captures this chilling image of the believed gunman. shortly after the station confirmed the news on air. >> allison parker, 24 adam 27 if you're just joining us, our news 7 wdbj 7 morning team fatally shot this morning while out covering a feature story at bridgewater plaza at smith mountain lake. >> the augusta county sheriff's office identified the shooter as reporter vester lee flanigan and worked at the station for about a year.

someone using the name posted video of social media that appears to show the actual shooting shot by the gunman himself. the post also includes accusations of racism against the reporter and conflict with the cameraman. >> there were a lot of good things happening for adam and allison. oh, wow she's a rock star. she has really done a wonderful job reporting, filling in and organize, you throw anything from that girl and she could do it. >> parker graduated from james madison university and just moved in with chris anchor chris hurst who tweeted this morning being "she was the most radiant woman i ever met and for some reason she loved her back. she loved her family, parents and her brother. cameraman ward was engaged to producer melissa ott who was in the control room watching at the shooting happened. >> she had gotten another job. >> president and general manager of the station jeff marx described the scene as chaos as state police block off

the roads around the perimeter and locked down schools in the area. >> and chris and mary both federal and local authorities there from virginia participated in this search that went on for hours. that gunman now dead and we're told taking his own life and abc news also has said they received a 23 page pack from someone, fax i should say from someone who says he is bryce williams an they've turned that over to authorities. williams is a former station reporter shot and killed himself after gunning down another reporter and her protographer this morning. chris and mary back to you. >> dianne thank you well tributes are pouring in from the victims all over social media. among them senator tim cane whotweeted "heart broken by senseless tragedy, deepest sympathy to loved ones and allison and adam and the entire wdbj 7 family." now to a developing story, the frantic search continues for a missing fisherthan in new jersey. the coast guard confirms it

just found a boat under water in sandy hook the same area where someone reported a boat sinking yesterday. cbs alana gold is there live with more. >> reporter: mary the coast guard is still on scene here at sandy hook doing an extensive search and right now crews are trying to figure out if the boat they found just a few hours ago is in fact that fisherman's boat and of course they are still trying to find him too. chopper 2 flew over the sandy hook channel as rescue teams spent all morning scanning the water near buoy 14, and made some progress. this is where they discovered a boat submerged, exactly where fisherman went missing yesterday afternoon. >> andresex n's sister spoke with us on the phone. she says the entire family is keeping in close contact with the search teams and waiting for drivers to find him. >> i have not given up hope. none offer us, we aren't giving up hope police say on tuesday a

captain called in for help when he saw andresen's 40-foot vessel sinking. today his slip here sits empty. >> i couldn't go to sleep last night until i said a few prayers for tom joseph runs bellford sea food co-op. he said he had been buying this for the last three years and he left to go fishing yesterday morning. >> it's hard break together lose one of your own fisherman. >> i waived out and as far as i know that's the last time i saw him until he heard about it his fellow firmermen never imagined he wouldn't return. >> i think he had water in his boat and just capsized and went down. >> is that what people are telling you? >> he went down and never came back up. >> so there's still no word on the missing fisherman. his family says he has a wife, two children and several grandchildren and right now

they're waiting for answers. elana gold, cbs 2 news. a manhunt today for a shooter who killed a cab driver in union county new jersey. co-workers say he was disbatched to pick up and he was ambushed. cbs 2 is live for us. janelle? >> reporter: chris it happened right in front of these homes on bedford street. neighbors had no idea what was going on, one woman actually telling us she thought it was a car backfiring, but it turns out that was a gun shot that killed that cab driver. a father of ten. his kids this afternoon in mourning. >> my dad was, he has 10 kids to feed. >> imad, his father's oldest son, his namesake says his dad was fighting the gunman to keep his hard earned cash for his family. a struggle that cost him his life. >> he refused to let go of the money and they shot him in his head. >> the 57 year old cab driver

shot and killed in his taxi, ambushed according to his manager jim may who says it appears the gunman called station cab shortly before 11 tuesday night requesting a taxi on bedford street. a quiet residential block in rahway. >> the passenger said he requested service to go to washington street in rahwayh is a short $7 trip. >> may says the passenger may have been trying to rob him and there was a struggle that ended with him shot in the head. the gun shot causing him to lose control of his cab, crashing into two parked cars. >> he started to shift probably around 7:00 and he probably would have had at least $60 to $80 in carbon him so i would assume he had less than $100 on his possession at that time. >> something happened to him like this with no reason. just for a couple of bucks somebody shoots you and robs you. it's very sad. >> investigators back at the scene this morning searching for evidence with the alleged gunman still on the run.

his family says the jordan immigrant had been a cab driver for decades and knew the danger, having been attacked before, but did it to provide for his 10 kids. >> he got stabbed and smacked and slapped and he got cuts on his face so it was kind of always in the back of his mind? >> yeah, he knew it was a risky job. >> now police say a woman who was in one of those parked cars did have minor injuries and she was treated at an area hospital and released. as for the gunman we're told that he was likely injured himself, he was last seen running from here on bedford street toward rahway river park. police asked me anyone who may have spotted him or may have seen him to give them a call. reporting live this afternoon from rahway new jersey, cbs 2 news. >> thank you. all eyes watching wall street again this noon. the dow sored nearly 400 points at the open as markets tried to shake a six day losing streak. let's take a live look at the

big board for you. stocks are in the green. we can see the dow up 165 points at this hour, the dow, nasdac and s & p all up just over 1%. well, donald trump is in journalist. security escorted a univision anchor out of a news conference. cbs 2 mark albert has more. >> reporter: donald trump has added another journalist to his line of fire. this time it's univision anchor george ramos. >> sit down. >> go ahead. >> no you don't. you haven't been called. >> i have the right. >> go back to univision trump says ramos started questioning him without being called upon he just stands up and starts screaming so you know, maybe he's at fault already i've been a journalist for more than 30 years and all over the world and never been thrown out of any press conference from any interview. this is not cuba or venezuela.

new information as french prosecutors filed terrorism charges against the man accused in a foiled train attack. >> we're hearing more details about how a group of americans took down the suspects. cbs 2 reports. >> reporter: blindfolded was escorted to face the charges in a french court. the prosecutor said he pumped himself up for the attack by watching the video inside the bathroom of the train before emerging shirtless and strapped with 270 rounds of amunition. he said the moroccan born was intent on killing a whole train load of people if not stopped by those passengers on board. french american was the only one to take a bullet trying. in an interview with cnn his wife described the moment spencer stone and his friends piled in. >> i hear somebody saying an american, i'm sorry for my language.
