be one of several stops the pope makes to new york, there will be closures all across the security concerns ahead of the pope's visit here to new york, this afternoon the mayor will be meeting with various security experts to make sure that the pope is properly protected. >> it is going to be a day to be on a bike or on foot that's for sure. bike, foot, take the subway anything but a car city leaders say it will be the best way to travel once pope francis arrives. central park alone expected to have closures and security checkpoints all over essentially a frozen zone as thousands see him to greet the faithful from his motorcade. opportunity for the pope to come to new york city, so many people have been waiting for so long. >> already ahead of his arrival the holy father. >> we have disrupted one particular case in particular,

call about an -- bus, saying 52- year-old was not even supposed to be driving the bus it was his day off. he faces charges including wreckless endangerment, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and dwi. the clerk who spent five day ins jail for refusing to issue marriage licenses returns to work today. kim davis says she'll notinterfere with the deputies issuing licenses but will not authorize them. >> reporter: an emotional kim davis began her first day back at work with a statement to the media. >> i don't want to have this consulate, i don't want to be in the spotlight, and i certainly don't want to be a whenning post. the clerk spent 5 days in jail for refusing to issue any marriage licenses. siting her religious beliefs against same-sex marriage. >> for think this would be an act of disobedience for my god.

for free maternity clothing. >> the woman she went to see wanted to steal her unborn baby. it is the dr. phil exclusive for the premier of his season. >> what happened next. when she attacked me she hit my back, very aggressive and hard, i asked her i said was there a spider on me? and she said, yeah, i think i got it. and then she continued, i turned around, pulled my hands up and i said what are you doing? and said i just want to leave, i don't want to hurt you, i started walking towards the door, and she grabbed me very roughly, pushing me deeper into the house towards the bathroom. we jostled in the hall way as i tried to push my way towards the door, finally we get all the way in front of the bathroom and she -- she keeps telling me she is going to call the police on me.

i said, i'll call the police, that's when the real struggle begins. she throws me to the bed. trying to suffocate me with my pillow, hands, she broke something over my head and i felt the liquid wash over med, just kept saying, why? why are you doing this? why? >> dr. phil joining us now, live dr. phil thank you so much for being here, someone surviving such an attack how does she handle that physically, emotionally. >> you know, it is so terrible and people steal babies we'd know this, it is a horrible fact, the mothers never survive. this mother survived was left for dead but got to a phone called for help, hero 911 operator and police get there and she finds out that her baby has been taken because she's bleeding out something terrible.

and she tells us this whole story and i'll tell you if you're going to watch a dr. phil show, this year even one show, you need to watch this. it is compelling and moving, it is a story of victory and fighting for your life and the moral of the story is you cannot continue to trust people on the internet. she put herself in harm's way. she went behind closed doors with a stranger she knewing about that she met on craigslist and this horrible tragedy took place. i think when people watched this, it will change the way they look at the internet, it will change the way they look at their lives. i certainly want today go home and hug my grandchildren and hug my children, it is just, a moves and compelling story. all right dr. phil thank you i look forward to it. season 14 of the dr. phil show premiers today 3:00 right here on cbs 2. there is much more ahead here at noon, burned down

forecast coming up. . don't forget to follow us on facebook and like our page facebook.com/cbs new york. thousands evacuated as crews get a struggle on the fire in california. reporting from middletown where the fire has already claimed one life. >> reporter: there is nothing but rubble left at that 50 unit apartment complex in middletown california. a wind-driven wildfire devoured the town 20-miles north of napa, hundreds of homes leveled. very difficult to see this level of destruction in a small tight knit community like this. some residence came back to see if there was anything left to salvage. >> it is hard to believe, what's going on i never seen devastation like this. >> the fire erupted on saturday, quickly raced through the town. jumping highways and scorching everything in its path. many residents face scenes like

this surrounded at fire at every turn. >> we have 20,000 acres in 12 hour. hundreds of firefighters are on the frontline, the forecast calls for more gusty winds today. in middletown, chelsea edwards, cbs 2 news. so far, that massive fire is only about 5% contained. police in arizona call copycat attacks in recent weeks police say the teens allegedly shot at cars with a slingshot the 18-year-olds admit to flinging rocks at pedestrians and vehicles, there is no link between the teens and the shooting i said shoot incidents. and time and time again new york ranks the worst city for road rage. whatever the reason one thing is for sure road rage is only getting worse now there is an app for that. >> anytime there is a problem leave it to technology to find a way to try to solve it.

would say get to commercial. said you know what ladies do what you do best, we are blowing out other things in the show that we normally had just so you guys can talk more. >> is it difficult in the off- seasons when you have that six- week period when the show is kind of gone dark for the summer before the season premier of kind of creating some, why change it or do you want to continue to add? >> i think you know what it is constantly, you have to, you can't just have the same format, season after season. have to shake it all bit, otherwise it gets stale and predictable. >> you have to evolve. it is like a fashion trend, you know, even though i was holding onto my hair style for 25 years i decided to switch it up, you have to evolve. as far as the other changes we can expect any other i guess big differences people will see and or notice when they are watching?

i don't have to show this. but tony makes the point, fall is right around the corner. but we had a lot of beautiful blue pictures as well. really a pretty day. let's enjoy, the northwest wind gusty at times, you bet. in the city right now we have a west wind, 13 to 20 miles per hour, most ly subny a few if the city, definitely more in parts of the hudson valley 67 in white planes, sparta, 67. this time last week we were all setting on average from yesterday about 6 to 7 degrees cooler than we were as those dew points are low too, part is a dry wind a west northwest wind gusts between 25 and 30 for parts of the area this morning and still we had that 25 miles per hour gusts for parts of long island, it is a blustery day today, that northwest wind will keep us

around where we should be 76 the hope for the high. that's normal. not flirts with records even with a warm up over the next couple days sunsets at 7:07. we have this dry air in place still dealing with moderate drought conditions and much of the area still abnormally dry. we don't see any rain in the forecast this week, which again is going to contribute to higher pollen counties during the course of the next few days today we're at 6.8, not a whole lot of relief over the next few days, real quickly the radar and satellite this big exiting low that's why the wind is filling in but after that, high pressure builds in fills in, and a subtle change in the wind will also bring back the heat, we're looking at the low to mid-80s good part of the weekend staying dry into saturday. >> thank you.
