some of us are getting some snow action. it looks like it is petering out. let's look at the live picture over manhattan. 38 with a brisk breeze and north/northwest wind at 9 mph. the highs today in the mid to upper 40s for many of us and in the city we will top out with 50. tonight mid-30s. the jet stream is dropping to the south and it is the first widespread sprees -- freeze for many. looking up to the periphery of the viewing area, there are some snow showers. as we go through the day, there will be a mixture of sunshine and clouds and north of the city there may be snow flurries that are not out of the question. as the temperatures warm, they will be less likely.
