the next rain chance arrives next midweek -- arrives midweek. as we look at the high today, we anticipate 65 and the normal high is 61. 4 degrees above seasonable today. we will get some sunshine out of the day and i think we will as we move beyond the noon hour. on the vortex satellite and radar, we have spotty shower activity to the west. this will trend through -- continue through the noon hour and then the skies will clear. it is associated with a cold front that is well-defined right about here. what is happening ahead of the cold front is wind is out of the southwest and hence the milder temperatures. once it moves through, the colder air will dive in for a colder start to the workweek. you can see it multiplying on the u.s. current temperature map. green indicates the warm air

ilana gold is live in bayside . >> reporter: the victims are at the hospital and police say they were shot during an argument that happened outside this home on 28th avenue. this is a quiet, high-end neighborhood and police have had the neighborhood blocked off all morning as they tried to get answers. take a look at video from the scene. the shooting happened right after midnight near 214th street. police tell us someone rented a home for birthday party. when the victims left, there was an argument. one man apparently walked up to them and pulled out a gun and shot both of them in the torso. one victim's 27 and is in critical condition. the other is 23 and is currently in stable condition. the nypd had a busy night dealing with violence. this is the force shooting incident they responded to within two mack hours. the other scenes were in -- within two hours. the other scenes were in east
