seven died in suicide bombings. a state of emergency has been declared and the borders are closed. >> they declared three days of national mourning. we have coverage of those attacks on paris. aalice gainer has more. the president says they were an act of war committed against the isis group, and they will be mercyless toward the group. spectators inside say initially no one reacted at all, unclear on what happened. inside people scrambled on to the field as those outside ran. near simultaneous attacks were happening in other parts of the city.

the concert hall where the playing. gunmen held people in the theater hostage. heavily armed police stormed the theater. three attackers blue themselves up with suicide belts. >> the people who were dead in the stars, broken windows. it's a war scene. >> as many as 100 were dead inside. this man speaking from california learned his niece had been among those shot. >> she had been shot in the arm and the leg. it's a very, very sad situation. >> elsewhere, ambulances raced to a restaurant where a shooting left several others dead. >> i was holding a woman's arm. when i started to process what was happening, was asking

and i realize she had been fatally wounded. she had been shot in the chest. there was blood all around here, and there were other people in the restaurant who had been fatally injured. >> french police secured the scenes while they brought out the wounded. >> when i went on the streets, i saw 20 to 25 bodies lying on the floor, and people were very badly injured with gunshot wounds, and i took a teenager. she was bleeding very badly. i ran with her. >> intelligence officials were not aware of any threats before this series of attacks. meantime, germany media says a man has been linked to the paris attacks.

among the fatalities. the emergency meeting in the palace comes as police hfor potential accomplices to the eight attackers killed in last night's violence. the first such move of emergency and ordered additional troops deployed. >> police are doing some extra patrols in the city. they're standing guard at the french consulate. reporter: security is intense here at the french consulate. flags are at half staff on the upper east side as terror forces make their presence known outside the building. they're keeping a strong police presence here after the attacks, reassuring people in the city that they're safe.

it is going to be a cool, crisp, fall day, a day when temperatures are well below seasonable, especially when you factor in that wind chill. let's take you live outside for a beautiful picture of the sunrise. as the horizon brightens, it's really making for a stunning shot of the skyline. we have chilly winds. winds are west at 16 miles per hour. gusts today could be as high as 35 miles per hour. so similar to yesterday in that regard. the headline, a blustery chill will have clouds and a few snow showers passing, maybe a few raindrops mainly north and west of the city. tomorrow, a rebound. we'll have plenty of sunshine and temperatures warming up. the winds coming. so, if you don't like the powerful winds and the cooler temperatures, tomorrow is definitely the better day for you, and the next day we're warming things up even more so. take a look at this trend.

a high of 49 degrees. of course 49 is not the whole story. factor in the winds. it feels more like the low 40s out there in the city. it will feel like the upper 30s for areas north and west. today very chilly tomorrow. 58 with the sun on monday. stunning 62 with sunshine. today's high of 49 is the coldest day since april 9th, and then it was 43 degrees. we're headed toward winter temperatures. they're declining. it's a burst of cold air, just for today. as we look at the radar picture, a few snow showers, raindrops and also west of the city, we'll start to see shower activity trying to make its way in. very dry. we're not going to see a lot on the ground. don't be surprised if you see today. it's very possible. powerful winds out of the northwest. they're funneling on in. we'll have passing clouds and

the terror attacks. the nypd is searching for the man who attacked a business owner at his laundry mat. he punched him in the face several times. it happened inside mr. green laundry between 46th and 47 47th street. he says he asked the man to leave after a customer complained, and it looked like he was going to walk out. then. >> i turned around to talk to my worker for a second. the next thing i know he clocked me and hit me a bunch of times. >> he often allows homeless people to stay if they're not bothering anyone.

good morning. coming up on 6:30 on this saturday, november 14th. >> i'm andrea grimes. we're continuing to follow the attacks in paris, first, let's check with vanessa murdock for the weather in our area. >> very chilly start to the day. not only are temperatures on the cool side, but we have the winds whipping still. that means wind chills down to the 30s for us on this saturday morning. temperatures, though, a little warmer than that. 38 right now in liberty. that trans slate to 30 in liberty. 38 in the city. on the vortex, satellite and radar picture, we have clouds passing by. also notice flecks of green and a little bit of light pink. we may see a few raindrops today, maybe a few snowflakes out there north and west of the

president has mobilized 1500 troops into the streets of paris. of course there's the main concern of another attack. then we can't forget that there were eight attackersed. there's a lingering concern that there could be other coconspirators involved in this that remain at large. our understanding is a manhunt continues under way. >> then have you heard of any threats on any other world cities? can you give us a sense of the security measures where you are in london? >> reporter: so here in london, the prime minister is holding an emergency meeting to discuss the security in this country. as of now, there has been no heightened alert issue. we spoke earlier. i told you about a scare that happened at the local airport. gatwick airport. there was, from reports we're being told, a gun found in a bag. immediately there was a reaction to this, and that airport was evacuated.

it just shows the kind of heightened alert this country >> and they're reporting that one of those attackers said he was doing this for syria. any idea how this is going to impact the migrant crisis area in the region. >> we heard that. of course we're hearing from isis who has claimed responsibility, calling the attack a blessed invasion. with the attack, we've heard about terrorists sneaking in with those migrants. shut down. thousand there's question about how the movement through borders in europe will be attack. >> we know they've started more security at those check points travel through. you. thank you, jonathan. >> here at home, new york city mayor is calling attacks in paris sobering. de blasio said police need to be vigilant at all times.

moving moment as soccer fans sang their country's national anthem as they werevating the stadium that was attacked. [singing] the song was written by a captain during the french revolution for troops to march along to. and team usa and st. vincent showed an outpouring of support for france following those attacks. before the world cup qualifying match, players and fans packed busch stadium in st. louis, missouri and paused to honor the victims. >> people showed their solidarity with the people of france. one world trade center spire was shining the colors of france's flag. in las vegas, the high roller observation wheel displayed the colors of the paris flag. seattle also showed its

weather beyond your saturday. chaos on the streets of san francisco after the driver of a double decker tourist bus apparently lost control and crashed, injuring 20 people. this happened yesterday afternoon in the city's busy union square. police say the bus was moving fast when it struck a bicyclist and at least two pedestrians before smashing into metal scaffolding at a construction site. six of the injured were seriously hurt no. word yet on exactly what caused that crash.

in utah has changed his mind and is now allowing a lesbian coup toll foster a baby. the judge ordered the coup toll give the baby back, citing research showing that children do better when raised by heterosexual couples. the association has said there's no scientific basis for that conclusion. the case will be back in court on december 4th. now to a warning about spaghetti-os. parents may want to check their pantry. campbell's soup is recalling the cans. a small amount of plastic was found in those cans. they have a february 22nd, 2017 date stamped on them. they can return the products to the store for a full refund. it's been windy out there too. let's see what the start of the weather is like with vanessa murdock. >> yesterday was above seasonable, but those winds are

earlier this morning isis did claim responsibility in an online statement. the attacks unfolded at six locations, including cafes outside the national stadium and at a concert hall where people were held hostage. eight of the attackers are dead. bombings. security forces killed an that concert hall. >> many of the deaths that happened happened after they stormed the club bataclan concert hall. the band was performing when the terrorists began shooting into the crowd. the brother of one of the band members spoke about what happened. >> the whole band heard the gunshots, hit the deck and kind of went backstage and exited as fast as they could. >> the latest post reads we're still currently trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all of our band and crew.
