on this sunday, november 15th. i'm diane. >> and i'm andrea grymes. let's get to vanessa murdock with a look at the forecast this morning. we can see the sun behind you. >> it's up and cold still this afternoon. a different story and it's going to be nice to end the weekend. right now, though, if you're stepping outside any time soon, we hope, of course, you will wait until after the show this morning. nonetheless, 40 right now in the city; 31 in sparta and 40 in greenwich; and it feels like 29 in baby loop and edison -- babilon and edison, 27. there is lots of sunshine and that will be the trend all day long. right now in the vortex satellite and radar, a patch of clouds making its way through the southern half of new jersey. generally speaking, today is a weekend. by noon, 50 degrees out there and feeling like 51 by 3, 58 and there is a breeze by this afternoon out of the west- northwest and 10 to 15. nothing compared to yesterday. andrea and diane.

you. leaders in france promised to wage war on the islamic paris. >> police arrested at least three people during raids in belgium, including the brother of one of the suicide bombers. the arrests came after a car with belgium license plates was found close to the site of one of the attacks. the attackers as frenchman ismael mostefai, a man investigators said is known to his ties to islamic radicalism. >> we're learning more about the victims. at least 129 people were killed in the attacks, including a college student from california. jonathan has more from paris. jonathan? >> reporter: good morning to you. the family of isma, el mostefai tell police they had no idea he became radicalized. seven family members, including a brother you mentioned are in police custody being questioned. there is a new clue that

surfaced today, this morning. police found a black car they suspect played a role in the attacks located about six miles outside of paris. it was abandoned and there were guns inside. this coulds of french police -- thousands of french police and paris. growing vigils and himmor -- memorials line the streets as the country mourns. home. we wanted to go on the street and live again and not to fear they want us to have. friday night. the french officials say three teams of terrorists all armed with assault rifles and identical suicide vests, launched coordinated attacks on cafes, a soccer game, and a concert hall. >> it's like war. crazy. >> reporter: 23-year-old cal state student nohemi gonzalez was killed while having dinner with friends. she was spending a semester studying abroad in paris.

>> she brought joy, happiness and laughter to everyone she worked with. >> reporter: as a precaution, many of pariss top tourist attractions were closed, including the eiffel tower and the louvre. the french president hollande carnage. one of the attackers was born in france and had a petty criminal record and they are searching for accomplices and vowing to take no mercy when they track them down. we're back here live outside of the bataclan theatre, one of the locations that took place of the attacks on friday. forensic teams trying to search for clues to the identities of the remaining six attackers who were believed to have apply a role in all of this. meanwhile, the memorials continue to grow as those in paris pay their respects. >> thank you, jonathan. and back here at home, while authorities say there are no specific threat says, police

in the tristate area are on high alert. they're stepping up security across the region. >> and alaina gold joins us from east rutherford, new jersey, where the giants are scheduled to play the patriots later today. >> reporter: police are not taking chances. they're focused on met life afternoon. and this -- and we have seen stadium security bring out their canine iss and they're suspicious. football fans can expect a heavy police presence at met life stadium for the giants the troopers beating up security around the perimeter in the parking lot and inside. authorities warning fans to not bring bags here and if it's a must, the bag has to be a clear one. the nypd stepping up security across the city and it's more than evident that officers

heavily armed in time square where teams are patrolling the crowds as part of a operation called her cue lease. >> and you'll see them in greater numbers. >> reporter: they want guarded locations and they're making their presence known as places more out of the way includeing webster all, an east village concert venue. >> i have never seen cops here. to see this? >> reporter: i feel more safe about it. >> reporter: the nypd doing bag checks across the city and at subway stations. they have specialized equipment and undergo intensive training for active shooter scenarios. they're not letting guard down after the terror attacks in paris. >> is come this has a broad target set from locations involved in sporting events to bars and concert halls and crowded public places that is a

great swath of new york. you will see an increased general perhaps in the number and type of police. >> reporter: you will see new intense mobilizations and most places you travel. the port authority stepping up patrols and they have bag checks system wide and law enforcement is warning everyone to be on high alert. they want to emphasize there is no specific threat. alana gold. >> thank you. and the seem of france, the support is evident across the area. this is a live look at the french consulate where a vigil is growing. dozens of people leaving flowers, candles and notes of love and hope. and the famous arch in washington square park was lit up in blue, white, and red, the colors of the french flag.

a vigil to remember the victims. steve langford was there. >> reporter: an impromptu rendition of the french national anthem under the washington square arch, a monument modeled on the arc de triomphe in paris. >> a couple of friends were shot inside the bataclan and outside as well. >> reporter: this french citizens living in new york said his friends wounded at the bataclan concert hall will survive their injuries. he expressed his gratitude for how new york, which so suffered in 9/11 is showing its support. >> they must know what people in paris feel like. we appreciate that. >> reporter: a mayor of new york arriving to offer his condolences. >> deep sorrow. we feel a sense of loss with the people of paris.

homeland. >> and we, of course, always associated bottoming with beirut and new paris is beirut and that is something that is so new to us. >> i thought so. >> reporter: the new jersey father of an 18-year-old taking a year off in paris to live calling his son in france when he got word of the paris attacks. phone. he was in the car with my brother and they were fleeing from the scene. >> reporter: he was in the paris neighborhood hit by the worst attacks when they erupted friday night. he on spoke to us from the french capital. >> and i had adrenaline going through me. i know it was bad but i didn't know the extent of what was going on. >> people in france have a chance to come on the street and express their distress and anger. we have to do it here in new york. >> reporter: new york.

presidential debate began with a moment of silence for the hundreds killed or wounded in a rocked paris. all of the candidates denounced the attacks. the first-time democrats spoke about the incident. it was a difficult road since earlier in the day, the republicans condemned president obama who once called isis the junior varsity. the three democrats had the debate on cbs, the first broadcast network to host a debate event fought over who should take the fight to the islamic state terrorist isis. defeated. it couldn't be an american fight. >> i would disagree with score. this actually is america's fight. >> and the musliminations in the region, saudi arabia, iran, turkey, jordan -- all of these nations are going to have to get their hands dirty. >> in particular, turkey and the gulf nations have got to make up their minds. >> reporter: with reports that one of the terrorists involved from the paris attacks got into

france hiding in a group of syrian refugees, questions whether we should let the refugees into our country is a hot topic. >> i would want us to take our place among the nations of the world to alleviate this sort of death. >> reporter: hillary clinton supported having the u.s. admit increased numbers of refugees, 65,000 but with intense screening. >> and i do not want us to, in any way, inadvertently allow into our country. >> reporter: they squabbled about the minimum wage, sanders saying it should be $15 an hour. >> and this country needs to move toward a living wage. it's not a radical yet. -- idea. >> if you go to trump, it would be the highest hissitor cage average we had. >> and it should always be going up. with all due spect to secretary clinton. >> of course. >> they were asked what challenge they faced that will make them a good president. mrs. clinton said there were so many, she didn't know where to

advice to president obama to go after osama bin laden. o'malley said he knows how to manage people in a crisis and sanders said it was his experience of the senate committee of the veterans affairs. >> it will be interesting to speak with john dickerson the next hour. we have an update on an outage that caused serious delays at our airports and flights are back to normal at jfk, laguardia, is any newark. last night, flights were delayed more than 2 1/2 hours at the major airports. long island mcarthur, westchester county and teterboro were affected. an external communications problem affected the air traffic control facilities and prevented planes from landing. there is no indication that this has any ties to terrorism. and time for the exclusive seeks 2 forecast. vanessa murdock is here with a look at the weather. >> and that is the general trend. today and tomorrow, warmer than it's been in the low 60s by tomorrow and today, more seasonable mid- and upper 50s

show you how beautiful it is and don't let that sunshine deceive you this morning. we're off to a cold start. forty degrees in the city, 30s north and west and winds out of the west at 7 miles an hour and headlines warmer today than yesterday and 10 degrees warmer and we'll be in the low 60s and toward rain, because we need it, the next chance arrives on thursday and thursday is looking to be an ugly day and a rainfall update, november so far, nearly 3/4 of an inch and who look at the stats for the year and received about 35 inches of rain. the deficit now is approaching the nine-inch mark. thursday, we anticipate rain. at least it will put a dent in the numbers. on the vortex satellite and radar, the pictures we see now are high, thin clouds through the southern and southwestern portions of new jersey and for today, a mostly sunny day, thanks to high pressure dominating the forecast. in fact, a big area of high

winds generally out of the west as we see that and we'll start to see some slightly warmer temperatures and today going to be the warmer half of the weekend. still a bit of a breeze this afternoon with lots of sun. tomorrow, mild monday and wins out of the southwest tomorrow and pumping in slightly warmer air and in the low 60s and on to tuesday, things change a bit. what is happening, we have a backdoor cold front sliding down from the northeast and as that happens, wins are more easterly off of the water and we'll see additional clouds and temperatures into the 50s on tuesday and so enjoy the slight warming trend while it lasts. today, under mostly sunny skies and a bit of a breeze, nothing compared to the last few days. 58 in the city; 60, morris town; 50, white plains and montauk, 55; seaside heights, 59 and at met life stadium, the giants are taking on the patriots at 4:25 and for kickoff, 66 degrees. still sunny out there but sunset is not far off and

getting dark, winds out of the west-southwest at 10 miles per hour is any tonight, mostly clear and not as cold. 46 degrees and tomorrow is a beauty. my pick of the week, 61 degrees and lots of sunshine to start off the day. as we make our way into tuesday, more clouds and cooler as i mentioned, the high of 55 and mostly cloudy, 61 and possibly showers late wednesday. the main event looks to arrive on thursday. 63 degrees and rainy and very windy. next weekend, i think, he gets cool saturday in the 50s and sunday in the 30s and 40s. >> and sounding like a good day. >> that is for sure. and the scarflet knights got shut down by nebraska. >> first, stefan curry led the warriors to victory yesterday and 107-99. and this is steve overmyer with the rest of the cbs 2/wafn update. >> it's been a miserable season for rutgers football. the coach being suspended and

rutgers lost four straight and they won't be post season eligible. the next question, will the coach kyle flood survive this? they have been in nine bowl games the last several years and deemed god to go after -- good to go but the nfl-bound receiver was held to 62-yards on four catches and they pretty much threw the kitchen singe at nebraska. -- kitchen sink at nebraska. and rutgers within a touchdown in the third and this is must win for nebraska as well. a loss would have eliminated them from bowl eligibility. last week, they upset seventh- ranked michigan state. last night, they handed rutgers the seventh loss of the season, 31-14 and don't forget this afternoon on cbs, giants against the undefeated new england patriots. that is at 4:25 p.m. for cbs 2 sports, i am steve overmyer. >> and time now, 7:19. coney island.

headline in the french paper reads this time it's war. this tourist in paris is a new yorker who witnessed the 9/11 attacks. >> and we have lived through this, you know, we know how painful it is for the french. we know how painful as the president said yesterday, it is for all people who believe in human rights and dignity. and we stand with the french and it's a very sad day for all >> reporter: the paris prosecutor said the terror attack was the work of three teams armed with rifles and suicide vests. one of them, a man from france with a criminal record. a syrian passport was found near the body of another attacker. one terrorist blew himself up outside of the soccer stadium. the game continued but word of the attacks spread as fans left. >> and people were running in every direction. and police were corralling people towards one direct route

it will be warming up and today will be the better half of the weekend and she'll have the forecast coming up. police released surveillance photos of a man they say was involved in a string of robberies in coney island. on monday, he followed a 63- year-old woman into an apartment building elevator, pushed her against the wall and grabbed her back. he's accused of pushing two other women the past few weeks. a body was discovered at the playland. the woman's body was found on the property around 3:30 yesterday afternoon. there were no obvious signs of foul play and the medical examiner will determine an official cause of death and there is no word on her identity. and-for-s battled a mass of fire in brooklyn. and it began after noon yesterday. more than 100 firefighters had to be called in to fight the fire against the wind. and many people in moan reported seeing the smoke.

the cause of the fire is now under investigation. and new york is taking steps to deal with the growing deer population on staten island. the department of transportation added six of the temporary signs like that one in bay terrace to alert drivers about deer crossings. it's welcome news for drivers who have had close calls with the animals. >> and i'm coming down snake kill one day in the rain and all of a sudden, boom, nowhere. had to hit the break and missed it. >> and the d.o.t. plans to post 21 permanent signs by november . >> and maybe the deer needs lessons to cross the street. >> maybe. >> and they're dangerous, though. you have to be careful. >> and i think they're well- covered, you know what i am saying?
