morning starts right now. good morning. it's 6:00 on this saturday, november 28th. i'm andrea grymes. >> and i'm diane macedo. the top stories are straight ahead, but first, vanessa murdock is here with the forecast. what a beautiful day it was yesterday. >> i know, and now mother nature is throwing a change in the winds. temperatures on the mild side but not nearly as warm as yesterday. changes to note if you have plans to be out and about today. the umbrella is a good idea because showers are a possibility. taking you to temperatures, low to mid-50s is right where we stay today. we will not see much fluctuation in temperatures. satellite and radar. there's plenty of clouds showers as well. it's associated with the cold front that will be slowly push to the southeast throughout the day today and even linger through the day tomorrow.

keep a close eye on the planned parenthoods in the city after yesterday's shooting. >> reporter: the suspected gunman 57-year-old robert lewis deer is in custody after surrendering to authorities following a standoff with police in colorado springs on friday. ozzie lacono was parked outside of the building when he came face-to-face with the shooter. >> i could see it in his eyes, here. >> reporter: the suspect first started to shoot in the parking lot before moving into the facility with the long gun. as soon as officers arrived, they were met by gunfire.

officers found two bodies in brownsville, brooklyn. they made the discovery on sutter avenue. one victim was a 25-year-old man shot in the head and the other, a man with two gun shot wounds to the torso. the nypd is searching for the man accused of robbing a grocery store at gunpoint this is our first look at suspect since the robbery monday morning. the suspect demand money, and the clerk handed it over. a passenger plane was hit by a laser near jfk airport. virgin american flight 24 from san francisco was hit by a green laser when it was 4 miles away from the airport, and it was just before 10:00 last night. officials said the plane landed safely at jfk, and there were no reported injuries. two people are dead and five others were rescued when their boat capsized off the coast of new jersey. >> i'm taping it, dude, that's not good. oh my god.

the morning? >> look f you get up in the -- if you get up in the morning and you're in a rush, that starts the process. i try to take care of things first thing in the morning, have breakfast, take care of my son, and starlet the day. imagine you get up, rush to the door, driving your car fast, you come to work, and your entire morning is just in a different manner than it should be. >> long-term you talk about resiliency, how do you build the resiliency? >> reporter: it's a practice, right? and resiliency comes from multiple things. first, you have to understand who you are and what you're trying to do, and how you go about you know, pulling people around you to support yourself and how do you go through the

adversity you face on an ongoing basis. sometimes it requires a different lifestyle. i'm an entrepreneur, and when your business is in flux, you have a stress level. let's say you just lost your job. you to think about where you were, where you want to go, and take the next step. >> what about, going back today i will really quick, are there exercises you know of or things during the day when stresses come up, what do you recommend during the day at work? >> the very first thing, do one thing at a time. when we try to do too many things it doesn't usually work out well. second when you're getting stressed, take few minutes to calm yourself down, take a deep breath, and then go to the next level. the third thing, try to delegate, and no matter who you are, you can always ask for help and give work to other people so they can help your situation. >> at what point should people get outside help if they feel

public lewdness last month. new developments in the search for an accused arsonist in queens. surveillance video shows the suspect just before he set fire to a home in forest hills on wednesday night. video taken by a neighborhood resident shows the house on 67th drive up in flames. the man suspected in connection to three other arsons this month. most of the homes targeted were also under construction. a greenwich village church says a stolen statue has been returned. on wednesday we saw surveillance video of a man stealing the statue. the church reported it on november 10th, and you can see the surveillance video there that we circulated of that happening, but on thanksgiving, the church officials say the statue reappeared. >> suddenly the statue was back. miracle of miracles on thanksgiving. we were very grateful for that,

the driver was clocked at almost 90 miles an hour. flooding and freezing rain in texas is expected to get worse this weekend. the weather has already turned deadly there. fast-moving flood waters have claimed the lives of three people. one man died when his truck was swept off a bridge by flood waters and two children died in south dallas. authorities are reminding drivers to stay away from rising waters. a family here on long island has plenty to be thankful for this week after nearly losing their 10-year-old son. mary ellis koch, the school nurse, performed cpr on keshawn this week. koch sprang into action when playground. >> all i kept thinking in my
