will feel like 52 because we have nice light winds. you'll probably love what's coming sunday. we're expecting even warmer temperatures for tomorrow. i'll have those details coming up in your full forecast but for now, ladies, i send it back to you. >> thank you. new this morning police are investigating another armed robbery in suffolk county. it is the latest in a string of them on long island and the crimes could be linked. >> investigators say at least a dozen stores have been targeted in the last few months. we're live in huntington station with the details. >> reporter: police tell us this tanning salon was head up last night and we want to show take a look. you can see police surrounding beach bum tanning around 8:30. they say the suspect showed up with a gun. then demanded workers to go to the back of the store and tied up both of the women. seconds later we'red to he took money from the drawers and fortunately no one was injured. police tell us the same suspect robberies since august.

the rest in suffolk county, including a rainbow clothing store and pier one imports. the tactics in all of these cases are the same. the suspect binds the coworkers together with duct tape, rope and wrist ties. then he threatens them. he's also targeting stores that cater to women where customer and clerks are mostly female. police need to track down the suspect who is targeting these stores. the most recent target beach bum tanning. there's a $5,000 reward for any information that will lead to an arrest. we're live in hundredsington station -- huntington station, this morning, cbs 2 news. we have new details into the investigation into the mass shooting in san bernardino, california. police say tashfeen malik and her husband syed farook carried out the deadly attack after she pledged allegiance to isis on a social media post. >> reporter: the f.b.i. has classified the san

cbs learned just before the attack, 2-year-old tashfeen malik used'' 28-year-old tashfeen malik used an aless on facebook to pledge her support to isis but it appears they acted on their own. >> we have no indication these killers are part of an organized larger group or cell. >> reporter: there's no indication that isis directed or ordered the couple to ambush and kill 14 people inside a social services building on wednesday. meanwhile survivors are starting to tell their stories. adrenaline kicks in. >> i saw before i went under my table people going under their tables throughout the room. searching through electronic evidence for a possible motive, including the couple's two dumpster. a look inside their home on friday revealed half eaten bedding. farook's family said they had no idea about the attack and as quiet.

brother deserves to be forgiven? >> that's a hard question. i don't even know if i would forgive him just because of what he did. >> reporter: last night hundreds gathered to pray for the victims at a nearby church. the vigil was an emotional one for ryan reyes who honored his boyfriend daniel kaufman who was killed in the attack. >>it's been very, very difficult and very, very trying. i know that once it all officially sinks in, it's really going to hit him. >> there was another scare in that community yesterday. the bomb squad had to investigation a suspicious package that was being sent to the gunmen's home. a worker at ups noticed the address and the facility was evacuated. it turns out it was not a danger to the public. new york city's muslim community is sending a message that it condemns terrorism and it got some high profile help from the mayor. mayor de blasio visited the jamaican muslim center in queens for the first time ever last night. many listened in hopes he could help erase a stigma against their faith.

welcome back to cbs 2 news saturday morning. a live look outside from our camera on top of the emspire state building. a little chilly but elise says we're in for a beautiful weekend. she'll have the forecast coming up. now to campaign 2016. republican presidential candidate donald trump is now alone at the top with more than one in three republicans backing him. a new cnn poll gives trump 36% of the vote. his closest competitor is ted cruz with 16%. new jersey governor chris christie has risen to fifth place with 4%. 52% of people polled say trump would have the best shot at winning the general election. the new york mets say the general manager has cancer. the team put out a statement saying it's a very treatable form of cancer and the 68-year- old g.m. will soon begin chemotherapy. they also say doctors are optimistic about his full recovery. he'll undergo eight to 12 weeks of chemo and continue his work as general manager.

we're talking about a beautiful sunday. temperatures in the upper 50s. close to 60 degrees believe it or not. and things stay nice on your monday. then as we head into late monday, we start to see an increase in clouds as the system approaches. right now looks like that system is going to go to our south. still could give us some clouds for sure and possibly some raindrops. so today we've got bright skies, light winds, 52 degrees. you definitely want to get out and enjoy it. tonight will be another cold one but still we're looking at temperatures that will be warmer tonight than what they were last night and early this morning. we had a lot of 20s out there. we'll have fewer 20s tonight than we did last night. as we head into tomorrow, we're talking about even warmer temperatures. 52 today. 57 tomorrow. i said close to 60 and there you have it. but take a look at what happens. it's still nice on your monday, 54 degrees. we get that with some sunshine. then we'll start to see some increasing clouds as the day goes on. that system approaches on tuesday so cooler temperatures. we'll see more clouds. still a chance to see some

elise finch says it is going to warm up. we'll have your forecast coming up in just a moment. first, new this morning, one of rapper nicki minaj's brothers was arrested on child rape charges on long island. he is seen here with his famous sister during his wedding this summer. he was charged with raping a child under the age of 13. nassau county court documents alleged he engaged in intercourse with that child for at least three months. he's currently out of jail on $100,000 bail. there's a bit of a battle brewing in new jersey over patriotism and holiday spirit. lights were recently strung from a flag pole in rutherford to look like a christmas tree. but the mayor ordered them taken down. he says if the flag were lowered to half staff, it would have touched the lights violating federal law. >> the flag should not be touching anything. the ground, water, any merchandise. >> we talked to veterans to make sure everything was okay with the lights being across the pole. and they said they used to decorate the flag poles on
