heavy out there. we do have flood advisories in effect for much of new jersey until 10:30 this morning and flood advisories could come into effect for long island as well. in effect for orange and rockland counties as of right now too. the bigger picture the deal is the low pressure system. it's a powerful one. that's why the winds are so strong and lifting off in the northeasterly direction. behind this system much colder air is sitting. this is the air mass that will be sliding in for your day tomorrow into tuesday. as the cold air returns it will be cold enough for snow when we see that happening on tuesday night into early wednesday. for today windy and wet as that system makes it's way on tomorrow winter returns feeling like the 20s and late tuesday we are looking at late flakes. here we go. today 60 with rain steady through the noon hour. showers through the afternoon and early evening.
