u.s., china stocks are down 20% from recent high. and the price of oil sank below $30 a barrel. that's the lowest since 2003. crude selling over $100 a barrel cut the profits of energy companies the holiday weekend won't help matters either. they don't want to hold a position in the market. the u.s. stock market is closed for the martin luther king jr. holiday, gives investigators one more reason to cash out today. many new yorkers including governor cuomo are fighting back today against republican presidential candidate ted cruz, taking comments about the empire state in last night's debate. andrea grimes has news on his reaction. true american values come from new york. tough talking new yorkers had lots to say about ted cruz in south carolina. where the big apple became a big topic. >> i think most people know exactly what new york values are.
