in west chester county a section of the bronx river let's start with meg baker in yonkers on the traffic troubles us and wreaking havoc, the bronx river park way is shut down, closed southbound i just got an update this will not be reopening today. here is a look at why. >> a dusting of snow that froze on contact wet roads and freezing temperatures proved to be a dangerous combination in west chester county. cones blocked the park way.

over the following couple of minutes, we called the police because this has happened before. >> jane heard and then saw the home. she says the exit ramp freezes before the roadway, causing slippery conditions. >> we've seen cars pile up i happens. after last night's crash around 9 p.m. her son ran out to help. >> we heard a lot of screaming and yelling, very, very upsetting. and then the police arrives. west chester county police say 10 people suffered minor injuries after losing control on a sheet of ice. >> there was a poor woman parked out here whose husband had been in a car that flipped over. >> many detoured off exit 4 where the park way is closed park way. may are open tomorrow. >> i've been out here since like early this morning this is the third time i've had to go around.

3 hispanic men attempted to rob the officer just before 4:00 this morning, the officer fired back striking a suspect once in the back the officer was not injured two other suspects took off. a prisoner exchange with iran has set free 5 americans the exchange was the precursor to world powers lifting sanctions against iran for its nuclear program. >> reporter: a swiss air force plane carries jason risian. he was one of four iranian prisoners, his brother is waiting for him in germany. >> i was able to speak with him get out. >> they released five americans

until spring of 2017. all at one time, could have done one station at a time it is ridiculous. for many that meant having to go backwards to the bay park way station or even the cooney island, racing to swiss stations on the're side of the tracks and heading in the opposite direction to get into manhattan passing right through those closed stations, raynaud ray knows all about it. what is this going to do to your commute? means i have to get up a half hour earlier. the need for the renovation is obvious. stations like bay park way more than a hundred years old, and definitely showing its age, graffiti is prevalent, paint is peopling right off the ceiling. renovations promise improved subway platforms new stairs and
