has a great track record. we will talk to her about the democratic and republican race and then we'll have our political round table to explain what it all means. >> john, assuming the polls are right and trump comes out on top how important is that second place finish and maybe that third place finish? >> i think you could argue that the third place finish is the more important than the silver. under the scenario you described donald trump comes in first that would be a big blow to ted cruz in a state that really is probably one of the best for him. so there will be a lot of focus on who is the alternative to trump. if the third place finisher, let's say it's marco rubio, does well then everybody will turn to new hampshire where the third place finisher would have a better shot than in iowa. there will be a lot of talk about a kind of trump/rubio clash. third may be more important than second. if donald trump doesn't win then who comes in second will be the

>> just lastly on the democratic side how will this latest news about clinton's e-mail, the latest news that there was top secret information on that server, impact voters or will it? >> in terms of iowa voters it's already in their views. it's a matter of turning out voters in iowa. going forward into other states the e-mail story could gain new life. it's been covered quite a lot. this information for the moment is probably going to whatever people already the believe. the crucial distinction about this new story if this is where it goes is whether secretary clinton knew that the information was classified. she said she didn't. if there's any proof that she did that would be a turn in the story, create a lot of coverage. >> it's the super bowl of political coverage for you, john. good luck. we'll be watching later today. >> thanks. >> you can catch john

hour of face the nation later this morning at 10:30 right here on cbs 2. >> a lot of interesting pieces to that puzzle. we're following breaking news in harlem. police are investigating another slashing at a subway station. >> ilana gold is live at 110th treat with more. ilana. >> reporter: andrea, police say the victim, a 27-year-old man, was rushed to the hospital after getting slashed in the face. this all happened right here at the number 2 subway stop on lennox avenue. the victim was on the platform this morning arguing with a woman and she asked another man for help and that man slashed the victim in the face and took off. the victim is now getting stitches and expected to be okay. this is the fourth time someone has been slashed in new york city since last week. a 29-year-old was slashed in the face. she took a picture of the suspect

pulled out a knife when she bumped into him. this is a disturbing trend. police are looking for a suspect who took off after he slashed a man at 110th street and lennox avenue. if you have any information police want you to call them right away. live in harlem this morning, ilana gold, cbs 2 news. a new jersey community is in mourning after the death of a 4-year-old boy who fell from a window. this happened yesterday afternoon at the summit plaza apartments on newark avenue in jersey city. police say the boy somehow fell from a 5th floor window to the concrete parking lot below. neighbors tell cbs 2 they believe his death could have been prevented. >> no windows over here have safety bars. >> that's a dangerous situation. >> it definitely is. i think so. i mean if you're letting a woman move into an apartment with a small child that high you should have some safety bars on the

southwest winds right now at 9 miles per hour. those winds are critical in the forecast moving forward. why the warmth? we just continue to crank warmer air out of the southwest. temperatures jump today 10 degrees warmer than yesterday. a few showers are in the mild forecast for tomorrow. mainly in the afternoon hours. as i mentioned, the warmest day will be wednesday but it comes with rain that could be heavy at times. up to 44 already in montage. not necessarily a beach day. 28 in liberty, 36 in scaresdale. the temperature out look,10 to 20 degrees move normal through wednesday. as we look beyond wednesday we start to brain in some cooler air.

the harlem but throughout the city. they're amazing. they to amazing work. >> tell me about this group exhibition. it sounds like it might be difficult to work with so many different artists. how did that all come together? >> each artist is incredibly excited to be in this exhibit because it's a celebration of harlem art and the harlem renaissance including jacob lawrence and gwendlyn lawrence herself. it's to celebrate their legacy. >> it's a tribute to you. how did they inspire you? >> when i was 14 years old my mom showed me a documentary called i'll make the world about had a harlem rent sans. that's what i wanted to do with my work, celebrate urban life.

were so bomb boarded with so many images of negativity. i wanted to celebrate the urban life and culture. that's what i do with my art. >> the hip top culture gets a bad rap for negativity. how do you change that? >> i consider it a conversation between generations. i like to consider the harlem renaissance and hip hop and jazz and just soul music and the civil rights movement. i wanted it to be a conversation between generations. >> anything you want people to know as far as what they can expect to see with the festival itself and with this exhibition? >> just a beautiful celebration of artistry, a mix of style, a mix of images of art and sculpture, jazz, some beautiful things. >> a lot to appreciate. >> what other projukts do you

his 23-year-old jasheme at their apartment in coram on friday. they seized $200,000 in cash along with cocaine, heroin and oxycodone. neighbors said they're relieved. >> there were cars coming and going constantly. it was very obvious that there was something going on that didn't belong here. >> people shouldn't have to go out and get their paper and see someone completely strung out. >> the bust was part of an antidrug campaign with special operations teams. so far suffolk county police have executed nine raids since the campaign began last month. new york mayor de blasio has announced plans to increase security at homeless facilities. they recommended a security assessment of every shelter. the city is taking several measures including adding new mental health teams at shelters, keeping peace officers on duties

health services. a teacher was harlem. they said the suspect suffers from psychiatric problems. chuck schumer is calling for quick action on detaining the zika virus. the new york democrat said the u.s. agency for international development should increase its involvement in effected countries. second schumer said the cdc should help quickly develop a vaccine. he said the world health organization needs to declare a health emergency. dozens of protesters are chanting no casino in belmont park.

>> one of the big reasons you're here is to tell people about visiting wales. why should people come visit wales? >> it's god's own country. it really is. we have our own language, we have our own culture. it's just the most magical place to visit. we have more sheep per person than anywhere else. >> more sheep. very cool. >> just the most beautiful place to come to. >> now, when you're making this dough is there any specific way to fix it? >> no, just mix it with your fingers and add your egg and bring it together. >> 3 minutes on each side. >> that's all it take s. >> while we're waiting for those talk to us about the other dishes we have here. >> this is welsh rabbit. this is a really special dish . it will have been served to everybody. it's basically think it's cheese on toast, it's so much more. it's made of sauce.

>> she's on point. >> this is a step up from cheese on toast. we make a sauce use issue welsh beer and welsh cheese that you can get here in the u.s.. colliers. cheese that's fantastic >> this dough raw is fantastic by the way. >> those have been cooked. >> i'm going to try one as you continue to talk. >> it's mixed to a batter and goes into the broiler to get it nice and bubbly. it's just delicious. >> these are delicious cooked. >> this is the well sh national vegetable that's been creamed with some lovely cream with late bit of mustard. at home we would use sea bass. we have bass there. >> that last dish over there?
