retrieve a body of a man we have more live. >> reporter: coast guard officials say that the boat did have quite a bit of damage. so they are being very careful and deliberate as they retrieve the remains from the boat. you can see the tug here in the distance behind us. the yellow crane is what they used to raise the tug from the water. they began this job and say they were determined to find out what lead this tug boat to crash. >> reporter: before down cruise began the task of hoisting the tug out of the river. straps attached to the vessel to help the massive crane pull it to the surface in one piece. >> today will hopefully tell us the full story of how this tug

>> reporter: the body of harry hernandez, the last crew member still trapped inside the tug this afternoon. this body is in an area of the vessel that's badly damaged making the recovery more complicated and more heart breaking for hernandez's waiting relatives. >> today brings closure to them in any ways. you look at the parallels today being holy thursday. the family is very religious. they found comfort. >> reporter: the tug was one of three traveling from albany to jersey city accompanying another barge when it collided with the construction slowly sinking 40 feet beneath the hudson. the body of the captain and a crew member were pound soon after. the rough conditions made it difficult for them to return

>> we know what happened. we just don't know the why. >> reporter: from here the tug will be placed on to a barge nearby. it will be examined by the westchester county police as well as the coast guard as the part of their investigation. they are also hoping to retrieve the tug boat's logbook and gps to help them as they try to determine what caused the tug to crash. a flight attendant accused of trying to slip past security in los angeles with millions of dollars worth of cocaine is due in court this afternoon. she was arrested today at kennedy airport. cbs 2's steve langford is joining us from brooklyn federal court with more information. >> reporter: marcia reynolds is charged with intent to distribute 68-pounds of cocaine.

night at 7:00 p.m. terminal four. that's american airlines terminal. she has a couple carry-on bags with her. she proceeds through the first level of security because she has airline i.d. but then she is told she is selected for a secondary check. panic. she kicks off her shoes, drops terminal. authorities don't chase after her because they are concerned about explosives. instead they found 68-pounds of cocaine in her luggage. yesterday her whereabouts we are unclear but she surrendered to police in new jersey. the man hunt for brussels spread across belgium. one is seen in a surveillance

accomplice in the train station bombing. tuesday's attacks were likely the capture of the master mind from the paris bombings. >> reporter: this afternoon there are a lot of questions about that second suspect. so far authorities have not revealed any information publicly about his identity or been. cbs news has learned the terror attacks one originally planned for easter monday, march 28th but were moved up after police captured paris terror suspect in brussels last week. investigators are looking for a bombing. he was speaking with khalid el suicide bomb. his brother brahim el bakraoui blew himself up at the airport. many in brussels are pointing

failing to prevent the attacks. belgium's interior minister offered his resignation after turkey revealed one of the brothers was flagged as a terrorist. >> reporter: this journalist was at the airport when the bombs went off and took photos in the immediate aftermath, including of sebastian bell who spoke to cbs from his hospital bed. >> gratitude is what i feel the most. >> for me it is very important to take pictures the show everyone what was happening after two explosions. >> reporter: kate heard from the brother of another victim. he said her photo gave her the welcomed news that his sister was alive. belgium tv is also reporting that following the attacks in paris they discovered hours and hours of surveillance video taken by those brothers of a belgium nuclear official coming and going from his own home.
