pentagon believes the second in command uveitis sis was killed in airstrikes in syria. in more raids in brussels where explosions were heard three people have been arrested. a manhattan brother and sister were killed in tuesday's attacks. sascha and alexander pinczowski were at the airport for their flight back to new york city. for the rest of the information on the day here's janelle. >> major raids are underway if a brussels neighborhood that was a hideout for the suicide bombers. this morning witnesses reported seeing a man shot with a long rifle shot down injuried by police. investigators are still trying to track down the remaining suspects. police saturated this brussels neighborhood this morning. witnesses hearing explosions and gunfire as investigators continue the man hunt for two men from tuesday's attacks. one man they are looking for

parking lot where a mother of two was shot and killed. her son died feet away from her. a third person also shot. now police have new major leads in this case. police released this photo of anthony morales wanted for the double shooting. tony pena lost his wife and son. >> do you know who this is? him. i have seen him around here plenty of times. he lives here on 14th. >> reporter: 47-year-old bill rivera was murdered in the suspect's home. her 21-year-old son anthony was killed on his street where he's lived for 15 years. >> they are both in heaven. >> reporter: his father said anthony was working on his car 6:00 p.m. thursday evening with a friend known in the neighborhood as

both of their cars are part of the police investigation. nypd says a dispute was at the heart of this fatal shooting. anthony was shot in the head. his friend shot multiple times in the left leg. after hearing her son was gunned down his mother ran outside to help before being shot in the head. >> they always protect their kids. she was a great mother. >> reporter: the victims were all rushed to richmond medical center. the mother and son did not survive. it is the same hospital where anthony was set to start working as a security guard today. >> anthony was very, very happy boy because today he was going to start his new job. >> reporter: as for the third victim he is in stable condition. live in the mariners harbor section of staten island cbs2 news. >> thank you very much.

upper east side man is now considered a homicide. 78-year-old chris cooley's body was found on 64th street and madison avenue on march 16th. he was strangled. video shows a red camaro linked to a sexual assault on a senior citizen in chelsea. two people in the vehicle approached a 67 year woman and falsely identified themselves as police officers as took the woman to a different location where they violated and robbed her. a jetblue flight attendant will learn if she'll be released on bail. marcia rogers is facing charges for trying to clear security at los angeles international airport with over $3 million

>> the next day they created her. my family don't believe in cremation. >> reporter: somehow the mortuary confused annie little with valley mcdonald. the mcdonald family held an opened casket funeral thinking cancer and a long hospital stay changed the picture. for the first time the owner of the funeral home is speaking out in an exclusive interview with cbs 2 news and apologizing publicly to donald little. >> we are sorry for what happened. >> reporter: he admits what happened and says they are changing procedures because of it. >> one would think there are precautions in place to prevent this from happening. >> you are absolutely right. ordinarily we use a toe tag on the deceased.

hour and a half. cloudy and 67. wind out of the south at 3. 67 in the city. that adds to the instability in the atmosphere. numbers compared to yesterday two to 20 degrees warmer. it is a mild day today. shooting for 68. above normal in a big way. numbers are down as far as the pollen count. the rain. they'll race back 'tis the season well above normal tomorrow, sunday and monday in the high category. we are watching this line, you can see the bright colors even with this perspective. that indicates the heavy rain through essex county. look how quickly it is racing through. problem is that is heavy rain slowing down these very busy corridors. traffic is going to be slow. and just make sure the lights are on all afternoon. we'll see on again off again showers.
