we have live team coverage tomorrow. tony aiello with the democrats and marcia kramer with the republican. steve langford has been talking to frustrated voters. >> reporter: amid widespread reports of people having trouble voting today, the city controller wants to know why is it alleged that $125,000 people removed from the voter rolls? why did 60,000 voters get notices that didn't have the proper primary date on them? why have people been told they were voting in the wrong place? finally were some polling places locked? gentleman there's no other agency like the board of elections in the world or in the united states where politicians from both parties come together and run it likes it's a back hall political club. we are going to have huge turnout in november and they

there are plenty of cops. but when he voted earlier today, he seemed pretty awed by it all. >> it's a proud moment. it's a great moment. and who would have thought? >> reporter: by all accounts donald trump has thought about running for president for years. but after casting his vote for himself naturally, he talked about his motives. >> we're a country with tremendous problems. and we are going to make america great again. >> reporter: trump is over the 50% mark in all new york polls. but he needs a majority of voters in each of the state's 27 congressional districts to win all 95 delegates here. trump has 755 delegates now and he needs 1,237 to wrap up the nomination without a floor fight. ted cruz, who had no appearances today is breathing down his back and has won the last four contests. but he won't get delegates in new york. john kasich is another story. he campaigned aggressively here and is hoping to win at least a dozen delegates. >> it's all about accumulating delegates going into the convention because now

he has already turned his focus to pennsylvania which votes next week. in erie he railed against corporate greed. >> the greed of wall street and large multinational corporations has basically said, we have no responsibility to the average worker. >> reporter: secretary clinton started her day voting for herself in westchester county. then a quick trip to dc for a speech to construction trades unions. >> here's my promise to you. if i'm fortunate enough to become your president, organized labor will always have a champion in the white house. [ applause and cheers ] >> reporter: so a hard-fought contest in 2016 but democrats don't seem too bitter. exit polling asked, has the campaign energized or divided you party? 68% of new york democrats said it has energized the party.
