he finishes at seven under. nick: too many squares on the scorecard. it's a tough course if you make a couple of mistakes. charley just birdied the third today and that was it. bill: that was for 73 for luke donald. finished with 74. 38 and 36. birdied 13 but unable to build on that, all pars coming in. but a solid week. now ricky barnes. well, he finishes with birdie. nine under par, 74. in a tie for fourth. he's still looking for that

u.s. is sending up to 250 million tear personnel to syria to join local forces fighting isis, bringing the total number of u.s. military personnel to 300. this as the president today was wushing for a major trade deal here in germany. president obama and german chancellor merkel are pushing a controversial trade deal that brought more than 30,000 protestors to the street this weekend. they fear the so called transatlantic partnership would weaken environmental standards and consumer protection. but president obama defended the pact that would create the world's largest free trade zone. >> if you look at the benefits to the united states or to germany of free trade around the world t is indisputable that it has made our economy stronger. >> reporter: the support for mr. obama still popular in europe could help merkel who is facing a host of crises that have damaged her public

on the democratic side hillary clinton leads bern yoa sanders by eight moints. weija jiang is tracking the races. >> reporter: done alt trump supporters today waited nearly seven hours to see him in hagerstown, maryland. >> i have spent the least and i'm number one. wouldn't you rather have that for the president than somebody that just. >> reporter: trump is expected to perform well in all five states voting on tuesday. the latest cbs news battleground tracker shows him dominating in pennsylvania, leading by 23 points. while trump's campaign has made recent efforts to reshape his image to act more presidential, trump has defied and even mocked the idea of a trns formation. trump supporters seem okay with that. >> a lot of people, a imig crowd here. >> the eyes of the country are all on the hassier state. >> reporter: ted cruz is already focusing on the next contest, campaigning in ind ind today.

jeff, just today he urged her to support a tax on carbon change. >> glor: weija jiang, thank you. let's bring in anthony sal anto, also in d.c.. anthony with donald trump up in pennsylvania and up in indiana, how are voters feeling right now? >> well, some sense of inevitability is creeping in, jeff, as most in indiana say they think donald trump will be the likely nominee, including half of ted cruz's voters. but the keer is-- key here is will toking expected winds here in pennsylvania and elsewhere on tuesday, then indiana the following week was touted as one of the last places that the stop trump forces could make a stand. bhu-- but he's up there too. >> glor: what does that do for trump's $gat math, does it get him closer to clinching. >> it will certainly keep him on path. you he now has a clear sight line to the nomination. if he does well it would put him in a position to clinch but still not until we get near the

>> glor: on the democratic side things appear to look good for hillary clinton. how do voters feel on that side? >> well, there's also a feeling among democrats that clinton is the likely nominee. but bernie sanders' voters still strongly support him. and they say he is having a positive affect that he is pushing hillary clinton toward more of the progressive policies that they want, jeff. >> glor: anthony sal santo, thank you very much. >> thank you. >> glor: late today officials called the killings of eight members of an ohio family on friday a preplanned execution. the manhunt continues in southern ohio for whoever is responsible and tonight david begnaud is in pike county, ohio. >> law enforcement have now finished collecting estled that the homes where the killings took place. and tonight crews are searching the wooded areas around those properties. ohio's attorney general mike dewine is leading the investigation. do you thinked perpetrator was a stranger to the family or do you think the individual was a known

>> i think we should not speculate about whether or not the sail ant or a same ants were known to the family or not. >> reporter: the pike county sheriff charles reader said the killer may have had help. >> you have multiple crime scenes. you have eight people in a family that there murdered in four different locations. >> reporter: some of the victims apparently put up a fight. others were shot dead in their sleep. all suffered gun shot wounds to the head according to authorities. the surviving members of the roaden family have been warned. they are the only apparent targets. >> there has been no other family targeted in this family but them. eight members of the family. i told them we would be there if they needed anything. i told them to be armed. >> reporter: at the dogwood festival in downtown piketon this afternoon, the crowd was smaller than usual. courtney boyer came with her infant. >> people are scared to come out with that person who shot all those people running around here.

they're capable of doing. >> reporter: brandi theobald grew up around the victims. she is nervous. >> i'm comfortable, sad, just on edge, just waiting for something else to happen. >> reporter: seven of the eight autopsies have already been completed. the final autopsy will happen tomorrow. jeff, the attorney general said this afternoon there were three marijuana grow operations found at the crime scene and the attorney general said drug activity and gang activity are being considered as possible motives but nothing is certain as of right now. >> david begnaud, thank you. federal agents came under fire in kansas this weekend. z at least three were hit including two u.s. marshals and an fbi agent. they were sholt while looking for a suspect at a mot el in topeka. the agents are expected to be okay. an 18 year old who opened fire at a wisconsin prom last night has died. police shot jakob wagner after

prom at the high school where he had been a student until last year. police believe he chose his targets at random. wagner's victims are expected to survive. >> an explosive fire has destroyed a large apartment complex under construction in gilbert, arizona outside phoenix. the ruins ruins were still moldering today. here's jericka duncan. >> reporter: from a helicopter you could see just how far the flames traveled. the fire could be seen for miles away. the national weather service tweeted that smoke was even picked up by weather radar. at least 120 firefighters responded. >> because of the wind, extremely fast. the flames, i felt like i was getting i a tan. >> reporter: it happened just after 6:00 last night at an apartment complex that was under construction causing exposed wood from 17 buildings to burn fast. heavy wind gusts spread the flames to neighboring homes forcing the evacuation of at least 100 people. three firefighters had to be treated for smoke inhalation.

to his hands. captain gary hildebrandt. >> we had some fire unit there that had to move their truck to the east because the fire was rapidly approaching their trucks and kind of overwhelming the firefighters. >> reporter: today fire investigators combed through debris while police still had the area blocked off. those who were evacuated are being allowed back into their homes tonight, jeff, because the fire covered such a large area, it could be days before fire investigators determine a quaws. >> glor: jericka duncan, thank you. fire dang certificate not limited to arizona. for more on this we turn to wbz pamela? >> the northeast has also been dealing with red flags warnings and enhanced fire danger the last couple of days. and especially going into tomorrow too, it will be another dry day. but the south western u.s. dealing with red flag warnings, fire weather watches as well as high wind watches and advisories

so any wildfires that do develop could start very quickly. >> glor: i know the midwest is also looking at a very active weather week. >> yes, the midwest and into the plains. severe weather threats tonight but also as we go into especially tuesday and the forecast models have been hinting at the potential for severe weather outbreak. we have a couple of systems. and this second system is one we are focused on that is still developing across the pacific north west but as we get into tuesday night we'll see the potential for some scattered severe thunderstorms, and the threat for damaging wind, large hail and the potential for some tor natos too.

hometown celebration is still going. >> reporter: through the storm clouds the prince rang out from tower bells. for a half hour the bell saning the superstar's hits like 1999. under umbrellas fans liesenned and reflected on his legacy. >> it's an emotional moment. i think maybe you start to understand that he is actually gone. >> at the joe hoffa witness hall that prince attended friend and musician larry graham who introduced him to the faith was emotional. elder jim lundstrom said the iconic rock star was an active member of the faith even going door to door handing out pam flets. >> he was a brother, a spirit all brother, sov course it's sadness. >> reporter: prince's remains were cremated on friday and his family and close friends including sheila e held a private funeral at his paisley park home saturday night it was a weekend of remembrance for prince rogers nelson. >> in brooklyn last night,

show by playing purple rain. >> times have changed, styles have come and gone but to matter what prince is never not been cool. >> nbc's saturday night live aired a special tribute show. the show included a never-before seen video of prince performing at the show's 40th anniversary after party. a m.c. movie theaters across the country are playing prince's movie "purple rain." in eric clapton's facebook tribute he wrote the movie helped him write his song holy mother and called prince a light in the darkness. there was fear there would be a public memorial but the family says there is one in the works and fans are paying tribute by buying his music. since his death prince's music is at the top of the billboard charts and all top ten songs on itunes are prince songs. >> jamie yuccas, thank you very much. up next here, an historic flight
